Surviving in Apocalypse with Children

Xieshui City

Early in the morning, the RV arrived at Xieshui City, but the entrance was blocked by a large number of zombies.

Unable to proceed, Qi Yan had no choice but to park the RV not far away.

He looked at the zombies in front of him and estimated there were several hundred zombies ahead.

Others woke up one after another. Yun Jiao was already awake and preparing breakfast. Shortly after, Cheng Yi also emerged.

Pei Xi from the other room opened the door and joined them.

Before long, Bo Yiliang and Wen Xiaoxiao also came out.

Wen Xiaoxiao yawned, looking like she hadn’t slept well with a teardrop on her eyelashes.

Her slightly damp hair hung loosely behind her, giving her a cute appearance.

“We can’t get into Xieshui City. We have to kill those zombies to proceed,” Qi Yan said with a little tiredness. He had been driving through the second half of the night, and only now did he get a chance to rest. He felt his body a bit sore.

Wen Xiaoxiao obviously noticed Qi Yan’s fatigue and spoke, “Take a break, we’ve got this.”

“Okay!” Qi Yan didn’t refuse. He hadn’t rested well, and going out now would only slow them down. It would be better to help after getting some good rest.

Pei Xi hesitated, looking at Wen Xiaoxiao, unsure if he should speak and a bit afraid she might not agree.

“Why are you staring at me? Just say what you want.” Wen Xiaoxiao said, a bit speechless. He could speak freely if he had something in mind.

Gathering courage, Pei Xi said, “Sister Wen, I also want to go out and kill zombies. I want to become stronger.”

Wen Xiaoxiao was taken aback after hearing his words and felt surprised, then nodded and said, “Sure, but I can’t guarantee I’ll have time to help you when the time comes.”

“It’s okay, Sister Wen. I’ll take care of myself,” Pei Xi replied.

Bo Yiliang suggested, “Let’s go down and kill the zombies; clear a path.”

“Okay!”

Wen Xiaoxiao handed a small hammer to Pei Xi and said, “Just use this! It works well.” Then, she jumped down from the RV, and the five of them headed towards Xieshui City.

The zombies, smelling the scent of food, started moving towards them.

Before they could reach the group, Wen Xiaoxiao’s team began using their abilities to attack the zombies. Wen Xiaoxiao held the small hammer in her hand, aiming at the zombies’ heads.

Pei Xi followed behind the four of them, lifting the small hammer and striking the zombies.

To his surprise, with a light swing, he managed to knock off a zombie’s arm.

Pei Xi hadn’t expected that his strength seemed to be stronger than before.

Due to a lack of proficiency, Pei Xi took quite some time to defeat a zombie.

On the other hand, Wen Xiaoxiao’s speed in dealing with zombies became faster and more accurate.

They didn’t use their abilities much because the abilities were too weak. Occasionally, they used them to practice their mastery.

Hundreds of zombies ended up in a sorry state at their hands.

A zombie stumbled towards them. His eyes were hanging low, looking as if they were about to fall out. Its stomach had a large hole, revealing intestines and other organs inside.

The heart had turned black, seemingly bitten, with only a small part remaining.

Jiang Fuci felt like he was about to vomit the meal he had last night after seeing this particular zombie.

The other zombies he had fought didn’t look as disgusting as this.

Swinging his small hammer in one hand and using his ice-type ability with his left hand, he approached the zombie. Despite the ability not working on the zombie, the small hammer landed on its head.

The zombie wasn’t smart, and it doesn’t know how to evade the attack. Just like that, the hammer landed on it.

With a “crack,” its skull was shattered.

Jiang Fuci touched his own head. Why did he feel that these zombies seemed less intelligent?

Wen Xiaoxiao dealt with the last zombie that came over, feeling that her arms were about to give out from the soreness.

Through this training, Pei Xi gradually became more proficient. Due to his inexplicable strength, he didn’t feel too tired. Instead, he felt excited and thrilled.

Wen Xiaoxiao also observed Pei Xi while he fought the zombies.

Great strength and a desire to become stronger.

Overall, Pei Xi is doing well. He is brave and motivated, not choosing to retreat because of the zombies.

From this judgment, bringing him along seemed like a good choice.

But why did he suddenly have such great strength? She hadn’t noticed it before!

It will take a long time for a person to defeat a single zombie.

Could it be?

  1. M&M's says:

I don’t know why she’s so surprised that Pei Xi is nervous when speaking up to her, considering how coldly she treated him last time in the kitchen and how he’s practically an invisible person in their group. I’m just glad that Pei Xi is finally understanding his power-based ability so that he help out and not feel so useless and powerless. On a side note, just exactly how many small hammers does Wen Xiaoxiao have at this point? It’s like she raided a hammer store or something, lol.

    Thanks for the chapter! 😀
