Surviving in Apocalypse with Children

The Young Boy

As they continued driving down the road, they encountered numerous zombies. They hadn’t even entered the city yet, and there were already so many zombies. If there’s already many now, what would happen after they enter the city?

Qi Yan, who was driving the RV, furrowed his brows.

“Roar, roar, roar…”

The zombies heard the noise and began approaching Wen Xiaoxiao’s RV.

These zombies seemed faster and more sensitive than before.

Wen Bei clung tightly to Bo Yiliang’s neck, burying her little face in his chest. She didn’t dare look at the scene outside.

More and more zombies surrounded them. Wen Xiaoxiao raised her eyebrows and took a quick look at Bo Yiliang. She said, “We should go down and deal with them. Otherwise, if we get blocked, the RV won’t be able to get through.”

Even though she had modified the RV, it would still be impossible to get through and survive if they were blocked by so many zombies.

In a nearby small store, a fifteen- or sixteen-year-old boy was hiding and peeking outside. He watched as the RV approached and felt relieved. But when he saw the clusters of zombies heading towards it, he hesitated to go near them.

He had been stuck here for several days. The small store had some food and drinks, so he hadn’t gone hungry.

He was a high school student who had been on his way to school when the apocalypse struck. Unfortunately, he hadn’t reached school before the end of the world arrived.

He had been stuck here for days, and when he finally saw someone passing through, that person was bitten by the zombies.

He had witnessed the zombies tearing his parents apart as they came looking for him. The gruesome sight of his parents’ hearts being ripped out and the bloodied scene almost made him pass out.

Now that his parents were gone, he was all alone. Thinking about all of this, the boy’s eyes darkened.

His eyes landed on the two figures outside the window. They were maneuvering through the crowd of zombies, knocking down every zombie they came into contact with.

Wen Xiaoxiao’s back was against Bo Yiliang’s, and she held a hammer in her hand. Sweat dotted her forehead, and she was panting. “Bo Yiliang, there are ten more. Let’s finish them off quickly!”

Bo Yiliang said with a low voice, “Alright, be careful.”

With that, the two began fighting again. Wen Xiaoxiao wielded her hammer and slowly approached the zombies. She struck their heads forcefully several times, causing them to splatter.

Wen Xiaoxiao was grateful that her strength had increased significantly. Otherwise, she would not know how many strikes it would take her to bring down a zombie with just a hammer.

Bo Yiliang was much faster than Wen Xiaoxiao. He was trained in combat and a man, and his strength was greater than hers. He easily knocked the zombies’ heads off without breaking a sweat.

Inside the store, the young boy watched the two of them with amazement. He was determined to follow them and leave this place.

However…

He realized he had no powers, and he didn’t dare to fight the zombies. Would they take him with them?

The answer is likely no. They won’t probably take a useless person like him.

He glanced around the store, then picked up a wooden stick from one of the shelves.

He was determined to follow them and join their group.

The young boy had fair skin and delicate facial features. He looks like a typical sunny young man with rosy lips and white teeth.

He opened the store’s door and rushed to Wen Xiaoxiao’s side, not far away.

When the foul smell reached his nose, he almost threw up.

Wen Xiaoxiao continued to fight off the zombies while keeping an eye on the approaching young boy.

This… This young boy came out of nowhere. How come she had just knocked down a zombie and a young boy was running towards them?

Wen Xiaoxiao was a bit puzzled. It must have been from a hidden corner!

She stopped thinking about it and focused on hammering the zombies one by one. Her speed was much faster than before, but Bo Yiliang was even quicker.

The young boy was so frightened that he swung the stick at the zombies. It took him over half an hour to knock them. In the end, he was panting from exhaustion.

    Thanks for the chapter

  2. M&M's says:

Hopefully they take the poor child with them, since he’s not conniving and will eventually die in the horde of zombies if left alone. He might even develop superpowers eventually, so it wouldn’t hurt to take him in the meantime.

    Thanks for the chapter! 😀
