Surviving in Apocalypse with Children

Premonition

Mr. Bo returned home with a dark face. Mrs. Bao noticed his gloomy mood and approached him.

“Bo Yu, has something happened?” Mrs. Bo asked.

“Yes!”

Mr. Bao sighed. He was dressed in his military uniform, and with a face somewhat resembling Bo Yiliang’s, he looked particularly serious.

He added with a solemn expression, “I’m afraid that the world is about to change.”

He went on to explain, “A meteorite has fallen in the M country. After rigorous research, the scientists have found a large amount of virus residue on it. I’m afraid that in a few days, a catastrophe will befall humanity.”

Mrs. Bao’s heart sank upon hearing this. She looked at Mr. Bao and asked, “Then what should we do?”

Mrs. Bao completely pushed aside the unpleasantness of what happened today in the back of her mind and looked at Mr. Bao with concern.

Mr. Bao also looked worried. Based on the research done so far, they haven’t identified the type of virus. All they could do was wait and see.

When Qin Ye came back from Mrs. Bo, he rushed to Bo Yiliang’s side and reported:

“Major General, there seems to be a problem at headquarters. It is said that a meteorite has fallen in M country, and there is a lot of virus residue on it. It’s still under research.”

Bo Yiliang lowered his eyes and calmly said, “They can handle it themselves. I’ve been suspended for now. I’ll wait for orders from the higher-ups.”

“You should resolve the Ai family matter first and then go to M country to investigate what’s going on.”

“I understand. I’ll handle it now,” Qin Ye replied and left.

Bo Yiliang smiled coldly. He picked up his phone and called Bo Yibing.

Meanwhile, Bo Yibing was in a meeting. The sudden ring of his phone disrupted the quiet atmosphere of the conference room.

Bo Yibing furrowed his brow. He picked up the phone and was a bit surprised. He thought his brother hadn’t woken up yet, but he didn’t expect a call from him upon waking.

Sure enough, his brother still cares about him. Bo Yibing thought narcissistically.

The staff and managers looked bewildered, as if they had seen a ghost.

Bo Yiliang and Bo Yibing, as close brothers, naturally had a good relationship. So it was no wonder that Bo Yibing thought too much.

He picked up the phone and said playfully, “Brother, are you awake and missing me?”

Bo Yiliang raised his eyebrows, his face darkened, and he said without any emotion: “You’re thinking too much. I just wanted to tell you, things are about to change. Be careful and take care of Mom and Dad. I’m going to W City.”

“Brother, the way you say it, it seems like something big is going to happen,” Bo Yibing joked nonchalantly.

“Yes.”

“I’m going to W City to see your sister-in-law.”

“What? Brother, are you kidding me? Isn’t Ai Chi your fiancée?” Bo Yibing asked.

“When did I ever say that she was my fiancée?” Bo Yiliang replied in a cold tone.

Bo Yibing realized that his brother was a bit dissatisfied, so he shut up and stopped talking.

He was a little afraid when his brother got angry. When he was young, his brother was very strict with him.

“The Ai family, don’t cooperate with them anymore. Let them fend for themselves!”

“No, brother, did the Ai family do something to provoke you? Why are you angry with them?” Bo Yibing asked.

“You go back and ask mom; you’ll know why. Tomorrow I’m going to W City to find your sister-in-law,” Bo Yibing said straightforwardly, not wanting to discuss the matter about the Ai family.

“Beep, beep, beep…”

Bo Yibing wanted to ask more, but his brother had already hung up without any warning.

Looking at his gossiping subordinates and department managers, Bo Yibing said with a cold face, “Meeting adjourned.”

After saying that, he walked out of the conference room, feeling quite annoyed.

His brother had truly forgotten about his younger brother. He thought his brother woke up because he missed him, but now…

When Bo Yibing returned to the office, he called his mother and asked what had happened.

Mrs. Bo recounted the events. After telling the whole story, Bo Yibing was taken aback, wearing a look of disbelief and confusion on his face.

Bo Yibing already seems like an interesting character, lol. I just hope he gets along well with his future sister-in-law and doesn’t feel jealous. On another note, I’m glad the origins of the apocalypse are reasonably explained rather that just the end of the world coming for no apparent reason. It would also explain why Bo Yiliang might not have approached Wen Xiaoxiao before the apocalypse in the original novel, otherwise I’m sure he would have protected her and their five children.

    Thanks for the chapter! 😀
