Surviving in Apocalypse with Children

Early in the morning, Wen Xiaoxiao got up from bed and headed to the kitchen to prepare breakfast.

 

While others were still in their dreams, only the Zombie King stared at Wen Xiaoxiao as she cooked.

 

Breakfast didn’t take much time. Wen Xiaoxiao made a pot of porridge and steamed many buns.

 

The buns were prepared in advance and stored in the space, making it easy to steam them when needed.

 

Afterward, she entered the space to prepare some fruits and vegetables to bring to Mother Bo and Father Bo.

 

The base was only about twenty kilometers away, and they would likely arrive by noon.

 

Wen Xiaoxiao felt a bit nervous because she would meet Bo Yiliang’s parents.

 

She wondered if they would like her.

Carrying a basket of fruits, she began picking various fruits and vegetables. There were a lot of varieties, and each type took some time to harvest.

 

She raised her head and glanced at Peach sitting on the peach tree, then smiled.

Asking Peach to pick them up would speed up the process.

The children sat on the bed looking dazed, clearly not fully awake and still in a dreamy state. Their chubby faces, which had just awakened, appeared rosy.

“Mom, I’m already a big kid. Don’t kiss me,” protested Wen Mo as he looked at his mother.

 

Being kissed by his mom made him fully awake.

 

“Baby, you’re not even five yet. How big can you be?” Wen Xiaoxiao teased, playfully scolding him.

 

This little brat started to dislike her when he was clearly just a little boy. It wouldn’t be a big deal if he said it when he married a wife in the future, but now he was still young.

 

“Hmph! If he doesn’t let you kiss him, you should kiss me,” declared Wen Bei.

 

“Mom, big brother won’t let you kiss him, but I will.” Wen Bei blinked her eyes and brought her chubby red face to Wen Xiaoxiao.

 

“Oh, you’re truly mom’s thoughtful little cotton-padded jacket.” Wen Xiaoxiao held Wen Bei in her arms and showered her with kisses.

 

The little guy in her arms smiled happily.

 

After dressing the kids, she took them to wash up.

 

When they came downstairs, they found Bo Yiliang and others already sitting on the sofa.

 

Wen Xiaoxiao headed to the kitchen and placed the porridge, buns, and egg custard on the table. As for the Zombie King, it had already been given its food earlier and was probably enjoying it in some corner.

 

After breakfast, she went back to the space to organize things for Bo Yiliang’s parents. When she came out, she heard Bo Yiliang saying, “We’ve arrived.”

 

Wen Xiaoxiao looked ahead and saw the base standing not far away.

 

While not grandiose, it looked much better than other bases.

 

The RV parked at the entrance, and everyone happily disembarked.
