SPECIAL CHAPTER 15

SPECIAL CHAPTER 15

Part 137

The small inn in the small town where she spent the night was the simplest place she had ever stayed, but she was able to sleep very comfortably. Adrian’s arm pillow was there, so what did it matter where it was? Adrian, who was worried that she might be uncomfortable, seemed to relax when he saw her finish the thin potato soup that was served for breakfast. The chocolate cookies that came for dessert were also delicious. She burst out laughing while eating a chocolate cookie that looked as if the baker in this town would have shaken it all morning, but although she still liked Daldaguri, her taste buds were now quite adult, but no one in her family trusted her.

Before leaving the inn, Adrian stood behind me again with a serious face and took the time to look down at his hands. She somehow managed to bundle them together today, but Adrian didn’t seem to like them. He looked at her through the mirror and said sullenly.

“Sorry.”

It seems like he wanted to leave his bangs down and tie up only the back of his hair, leaving only his right bangs and the left strand of his hair neatly tied up. She tidied up the remaining bangs and put them behind her ears. Why, it looks pretty like this.

“Am I weird?”

“Damian is always beautiful!”

“But what are you sorry for?”

When she asked while smiling softly, Adrian’s eyes widened. He placed his lips on her forehead and said.

“I will practice more.”

“What are you going to do with the commander-in-chief practicing his hair?”

“I’m going to tie Damien’s hair.”

Jenny would be upset that her job was taken away??

“I already made an agreement with Jenny.”

‘Hehehe’, he says it with a smile, but it’s the first time she had heard it. Even though she had no stake in her hair, why were two people making an agreement that she didn’t know about when it comes to taking care of her hair?

“What agreement?”

When she asked him, looking up at him with wide eyes, Adrian answered with the corners of his lips curling up.

“Once the child is born, I decided to let Damien do his hair occasionally.”

The corners of the Commander-in-Chief’s mouth are turning up in excitement at his intention to hand over the child to Jenny and take my hair instead. What are these people doing with the hair of a child who hasn’t even had hair yet? She jumped up and said to Adrian.

“Please sit down.”

And then she straightened Adrian’s hair as he sat quietly. She thought she should practice before it’s too late so her maid could at least get a chance to touch her hair, but why were her hands still on her front paws? And why was this man still beautiful even with his hair like this? She kissed her man, who was handsome even with his two arms parted, on the forehead and put down the comb. Everyone has a natural area, right? Pina supports her husband in trying to carve out her own path through her practice, and I decide to try something different. Leaving the village behind and heading back on the road, we had a very leisurely trip, commenting that the weather was nice, the wind was cool, and the flowers were blooming beautifully. The air was clear, the flowers were pretty, and the grilled skewers we had for lunch in the forest were really delicious. She didn’t want to know what the ingredients were, but as they were running for a while, George stopped the carriage and said something to Adrian, and Adrian smiled very kindly. He said he was going to visit for a while and disappeared. She was watching George make a fire, and he came back with only a piece of meat that had already been prepared. Since it was a local specialty, she guessed the meat was just a specialty.

After several days of driving, they arrived at the County of Vinis. As a city with the largest market in the south, the center of the county was colorful and crowded. They chose the largest inn on the main street as their accommodation. Perhaps because it was a luxury inn in a city frequented by the wealthy, each room had a dedicated maid. In the evening, as she changed her clothes to go out to see the night market, and her maid gave her a new hairdo, Adrian was watching her maid’s every gesture with her eagle eyes. Finally, as her maid finished fixing her hair with her trembling hands, she burst into tears and asked what she had done wrong. She was exhausted from comforting her. She waited until dinner to eat plenty of snacks. As soon as the sun set, she went out to look around the market. She heard it was a big market and when she wondered how big it was, it was beyond her imagination. Since it was the weekend, there were a lot of people, so there were so many stalls lined up on the street that she was worried that she wouldn’t be able to see them all in one night. She first bought a glass of sweet and sour fruit juice and swept through the stall that smelled delicious. The dish, which consisted of grilled shrimp with whole giant shrimp, bread soaked in sweet syrup, and seasoned meat, was so delicious that she even ate Adrian’s. She left a lot of green peppers, but Adrian, who eats green peppers well, felt sorry so he dipped the meat into it and put it in his mouth, and he ate it with a sigh.

She wanted to do something like this. It’s nice to dance with Adrian in a dazzling dress at a fancy wedding party hosted by the royal family, or it’s nice to eat at a luxury restaurant that occupies an entire floor, but it’s also nice to sit on a small bench and eat food on paper plates with wooden forks. She wanted to have a little date like this where she put something in her mouth. Anytime she spent time with Adrian was fun, but sometimes it’s even more fun like this. She was going to enjoy it all. Long live the long vacation. The next thing she tried was Vito Empire-style grilled meat. It looked spicy because it was covered in a lot of red-hot seasoning, and the store owner said it would be spicy, but she said she could eat spicy food quite well now, so she took an interesting bite and the meat was chewy and soft, but it was sweet. This well-mixed seasoning was delicious, but why was she crying?

Sweat was beading on my forehead and tears were welling up in my eyes, but she swallowed what she was chewing. After the meat went down her throat, her mouth started to feel hot. What should she do?

‘Ugh, it’s spicy.’

“Hawk, hawk, hawk.”

“Are you okay?”

Adrian was holding a meat skewer in one hand and looking at me fidgeting. It’s okay. Was she really okay? But the tears and snot don’t listen to her. ‘Ha ha ha’ she nodded her head, blowing the wind, but Adrian looked around with a stern expression on his face, stopped her on the side of the road, told her to stay here, and then disappeared.

“Tsk, haa, tsk, haa. Wow, it’s really spicy.”

As she stood fanning her mouth and wiping the sweat from her forehead, she heard a small voice coming from the alley behind her.

“Why are you doing this? Please let me go!”

‘Hmm. What should I do with this familiar development?’

When she tilted her head and looked into the alley, she saw a woman desperately asking for help, surrounded by several men wearing expensive-looking clothes. She was supposed to just watch until Adrian came back, but one of the guys dragged the woman by the wrist and tried to disappear into the alley, so she had no choice but to walk in.

“Sweet, haha. Let’s stop there, right? Haha.”

Four men looked at her at the same time, and then the one who seemed to be the leader of the beaks let go of the woman’s wrist he was holding and approached her.

“What is this? Kids, are you lucky today? A pretty girl is walking on her own feet?”

“Ha, ha, don’t talk nonsense, ha, it’s spicy. It would be better to go quietly.”

She was gesturing to the woman behind her with tears in her eyes telling her to run away, and she was looking straight into the face of the approaching bastard. The woman screamed as she tried to run back but was grabbed again by one of the men. She dodged the man who was coming towards her, grinning and extending his hand.

“That’s not a good idea. Sigh, I have a lot of shadows.”

“What are you talking about?”

Before she even finished asking the lofty question, she knew the answer. Because knights appeared from nowhere, blocking both sides of the alley, and were approaching with a sinister force. These were her shadows that Franz talked about. Since it was her first time seeing them, she nodded in greeting and the knights also bowed their heads politely.

“W-what? What are you doing, girl?”

“Ha. Can’t you understand the situation? If you talk carelessly, you’ll get scolded.”

“You don’t seem to know who I am. If I don’t back off right away, you’ll regret it.”

‘Why do people who do bad things all say the same thing?’

She didn’t know who they were and she was not curious. It’s not like knowing who they were could do something here. How angry would she have been if she had been in a position where she had to turn a blind eye to people making a fuss about their status? So, how upset was that woman right now?

“Swap those guys’ asses and throw them out of the market.”

At her command, the knights approached and wrapped the four men around. Amidst the noise, the woman bowed her head to her and ran out of her alley, and cold, sweet milk tea sprung up in front of her.

“When did you come?”

“I just arrived.”

When she took the milk tea Adrian offered her and turned around, she saw Adrian standing there with both hands full of cotton candy, fruit juice, and even cream bread, looking at the guys who were being beaten with cold eyes. After drinking the sweet milk tea, the fire in her mouth went away, and the shadow knights, who must have stepped on them, disappeared again, carrying them around, so she led Adrian by the hand. Adrian also took her hand and looked at her with a smile again.

“It’ll be okay, right?”

“Of course.”

Even if she did something worse, it would probably be okay. What could they do with her, a duchess and a fourth-level administrator, for scolding a bad guy who was harassing a woman on the street? If those guys didn’t reflect and came forward, she was willing to step on them further. However, it was still bitter that power was the only way to punish those who used power as a weapon to do bad things. When she returned, she would have to discuss again the issue of dispatching judicial officers to the provinces with the King.

She must have been full. She set out to see the market in earnest, and perhaps because there were so many people watching, there were plenty of things to do. There were several stalls in Midok where balloons were burst by blowing small daggers, something you only see at festivals. I lined up excitedly, thinking that she would have liked it if Jenny had come. It was said that if you guessed one of the five daggers, you would receive a small plush toy. The more numbers you guess, the bigger the doll you can get, including three balloon prizes. This was a wolf doll the size of her face.

She threw the dagger with all her heart, and it missed. All five daggers were lying on the floor.

“One more round!!”

Adrian gave the owner a coin, and the owner placed five daggers in front of her. She could do it. ‘Damian, you can do it’. He again solemnly threw the dagger, but it missed as well. The last dagger grazed the balloon, and the wooden blade bounced off the balloon. Where could she find something like this? If it hits, it should explode! It’s not a problem that my hand is the front foot!

“Shit, one more round!”

She threw the five daggers again, but this time, none of them hit the empty wall and all fell to the floor. One hit the center of the balloon, but it also bounced off.

The owner smiled and spoke to her as she stamped her feet.

“Would you like another round, Miss?”

“I won’t do it!”

This was a scam. He hit her but it didn’t explode, so he held out a palm-sized rabbit doll to her, who was complaining.

“You have to blow at least one to win this, lady. But I give it to you because the effort is worth it.”

She looked down at the small rabbit doll, and then looked up at Adrian. Adrian said, laughing out loud.

“Do you want a big rabbit?”

“No. I want that wolf.”

“All right.”

With a smile, Adrian handed the owner a coin and received five wooden daggers.
