CHAPTER 4.29

CHAPTER 4: EACH TRUTH AND EACH HAPPINESS (XXIX)

Part 095

After a long meeting with Remina early in the morning, Homer came to the crown prince’s palace at the request of his attendant who bowed down and prayed. As soon as Tyrellius opened the door and entered, a glass of wine flew towards Homer’s head. Homer, who ducked his head to avoid the cup, looked indifferently at Tyrellius, who was red-faced.

“Captain! How long has it been since I told you to come and now you’re showing up!”

“I was busy.”

Tyrellius shouted, but Homer did not blink. As soon as he returned to Midok, Tyrellius, who was imprisoned in the crown prince’s womb, was blocked by the soldiers standing guard in front of the door and had to live in confinement. He was bewildered for a day or two as he was treated like a criminal. As time passed, the whole situation became more absurd and embarrassing. Even if he conceded a hundred steps and lost the battle due to his own mistake, who would condemn and punish the crown prince who would become king? It was ridiculous that Lemina came out like that, but I was even more angry at Homer’s change of attitude. Wasn’t he the ‘king’s dog’ who lived by licking his underside? After the Emperor passed away, he became more and more wanton, and now he seemed to have completely forgotten who his master was. Tyrellius approached with great strides and swung his fist at Homer. Homer again dodged Tyrellius’s fist by slightly twisting his head. He then tripped Tyrellius’s leg and knocked him off balance. Tyrellius, who was unable to overcome his own strength and fell on his side to the floor, screamed and jumped up.

“How dare this guy touch me!”

“I put my foot, not my hand.”

“Ugh! This crazy guy doesn’t know what he’s talking about and is going on a rampage. Do you think you’ve done something to me by staying by Remina’s side? You were and are still just my dog!”

Homer burst out laughing. A total of 15 years have been wasted on this foolish bastard. He was about to turn around because he had no intention of listening to Tyrelius’ nonsense that he had been talking about for 15 years, when a member of ‘The King’s Eyes’ rushed in.

“Commander, some people have invaded. There are over a thousand of them. The troops inside the palace cannot stop them!”

“What? What? Who started a rebellion again? Then shouldn’t we hurry and avoid it? Commander, what are you doing!”

Homer coldly brushed off Tyrellius grabbing the hem of his clothes. He desperately tried to grab his arm again, but Homer backed away. Tyrellius was upset. He remembered again the time when the Royal Guards massacred the royal palace. Horda, who risked his life to protect him even then. Moreover, as of now, he had no one but Homer to rely on. Tyrellius instantly shook off his previous resentment and looked at Homer with earnest eyes. After a moment of clashing eyes with different meanings, Homer opened his mouth.

“All members, priority is given to the protection and evacuation of Remina. Move.”

“What? Captain! Hey, Homer!!”

Ignoring Tyrellius’ call, Homer and the team ran out of the crown prince’s palace. Tyrellius also followed, but he did not know where to go, so he stared for a long time in the direction of the main palace where Homer had disappeared. Then he thought he had to get out of the palace, so he ran towards the inner gate. Homer arrived at the main palace and ran straight to Remina’s office. As he passed the second floor, he gritted his teeth without realizing it. Damian’s face flashed before his eyes, but those who broke into the palace were more likely to target the royal family. Unlike Damian, who would be by Franz’s side, Van, the princess’s guard knight, was in the Jezero Plain. At the entrance to the main palace, the guards have already begun fighting with the intruders. As Homer rushed into the office, he was greeted by Remina, who was surrounded by her maids.

“You must hurry.” asked Remina, as Homer urged her with a stern look on her face.

“What are the others going to do? Couldn’t it be me that they’re after?”

“It is unlikely that they will break into the palace and target someone who is not royal. Even if they have a goal other than you, the likelihood of keeping you alive is even lower. You should avoid them first.”

Remina nodded her head with her heavy face, and Homer went close to her and bowed her head.

“Excuse me.”

Homer, unable to tell Remina to run, still in her dress and her shoes, picked her up. As Remina held Homer’s neck tightly, he began to run. To buy time for Homer and Lemina, members of the ‘King’s Eyes’ blocked the intruders. A bloody battle took place throughout the main palace. Swinging his sword to breach the back door of the besieged main palace, Homer saw Hegel running up to the second floor. With two of Bigor’s knights, they should be able to take out at least one Damian. He put aside his hesitation and opened the way. And after a while, Homerwaremina was barely able to escape the palace under the desperate escort of members of the King’s Eye.

Hennessy smiled lazily and looked around the King’s Egg Reality. The throne room had been empty ever since Ortega IV died, but the polished throne shone brightly. Hennessy walked up to the stage, swallowed dry saliva once, and sat down on the throne. An emotional voice flowed from his mouth.

“The long-held dream of degrading Antelope has been realized by Hennessy.”

Hennessy Bigor. He was Hennessy Thanon and took on the name Bigor himself. The former leader of the Knights of Bigor, and one of the confidants who was on friendly terms with Antalov Bigor, he had aspirations to grow the Kingdom of Laurentyne into a powerful military empire, but carried out his will on behalf of Antalov, who died without being able to achieve his goal. The man who decided to take a look touched the armrest of the throne with an excited face. At that time, a person walked into the throne room. Another of Antalov’s confidants was Doyev, who was the butler of Duke Bigor’s family. Doyev walked in, bursting out laughing as he saw Hennessy sitting on the throne, and bowed in front of Hennessy with a gesture that would be reserved for a king. Hennessy, who leaned back and received a greeting, and Doyev, who raised his head, looked at each other and giggled.

“Are you already in the mood?”

“Isn’t that going to be my seat anyway?”

“There is still the biggest mountain to climb.”

“I know. But it’s only a matter of time. Did you handle the crown prince?”

“It was so noisy that I had to gag it and throw it away.”

Tyrellius, who had been running diligently to escape out of the palace, was caught by Hegel, who happened to be coming inside, the moment he arrived at the southern gate of the inner palace. He shouted, cried, and hung around, but no one listened to him. The intruders brutally threw the crown prince into a small room and beat him harshly every time he made a fuss. Even the crying was so noisy that Doyev was about to stuff a bundle of cloth in Tyrellius’ mouth. Doyev furrowed his brows and grumbled, and Hennessy clicked his tongue, saying he knew that would happen.

“Would the son of an unqualified bastard be young? What about the princess?”

“The princess missed it. It is said that the ‘King’s Eyes’ kids went out of their way to steal it, but since she can’t become king anyway, there won’t be any problem.”

Hennessy nodded his head at Doyev’s words. And at that time, another person walked into the throne room. It was Hegel with his weary face. Hegel frowned as he looked at Hennessy sitting on the throne, but he did not show it and stood in front of Hennessy and bowed his head.

“Damien Ethart is locked up at the top.”

“Good. You have achieved both goals, so proceed as planned.”

Hennessy, who was in a good mood, smiled and said, but Hegel stood there with a heavy expression on his face as if he were nailed to his seat.

“Why are you standing like that? There must be a lot of work to do.”

Hegel raised his head and looked at Hennessy. He then asked with a look on his face that showed he had no intention of doing so.

“Father, is it really possible to regain health without side effects if you take the antidote? There was no plan to use poison, right?”

“Do you doubt Doyev’s skills? Or does Abi seem foolish enough to harm a useful hostage?”

Hennessy looked down at his son with an expression on his face. About 15 years ago, 14-year-old Hegel came to Hennessy, citing the name of a woman he couldn’t remember. Even at a young age, he was quite talented at archery, so he looked to Hegel to see if he could be useful. Hegel clung to Hennessy’s shadow for recognition for his long existence. After recognizing Hegel, who was becoming more like his younger self as he grew up, and accepting him as his son, Hennessy sent him to Adrian. It was Hegel who followed Hennessy, who was blindly loyal to Antalov, and sympathized with his father’s anger, but as the time spent with Adrian increased over the years, his attitude changed little by little. Hegel, who always gave answers, suddenly asked a question.

“That’s not it, it has nothing to do with you. I don’t want to hurt an innocent woman.”

“What nonsense are you talking about now? Didn’t I tell you not to get distracted by small things before big things?”

When Hennessy made a fuss, Hegel dropped his head.

“Go out and do whatever I tell you to do.”

“Yes, father.”

Hennessy, who was looking at Hegel’s back, clicked his tongue. It seemed like it had been too long since she had been keeping him by Adrian’s side for a long time in order to deceive the suspicious and cautious eyes of Adrian. Hegel, who was influenced by this guy, behaved lazily throughout the preparations for the big move, and Hennessy did not like it.

“I can’t use it for a long time.”

As Doyev subtly fanned Hennessy’s disapproval, Hennessy stroked his chin and clicked his tongue. Hegel did not know what Hennessy and Doyeff were planning next. If Hegel betrayed everything, everything would have been in vain. Doyev, who does not believe in Hegel at all, has long insisted that Hegel be excluded from this plan.

“Once he knows what he will have in his hands, he will make up his mind.”

For now, Hennessy suppressed Doyev’s complaints. His mood soon eased as he bowed his head and watched Doyev leave the throne room, then leaned back against the throne. Everything was going according to plan. It was planned so thoroughly that there were no errors, and it was implemented while fooling everyone. Last winter, while Dozern was angrily threatening to assassinate Tyrellius, Antalov suddenly died, making it seem like this was the end of everything. While he was grieving over having to watch Adrian, who was born as Antalov’s son and ultimately led him to a lonely death, take control of the capital and live an easy life, Doyev made a surprising move. He gave Dozern the queen’s star and bought time to organize an army. I was nervous when Milton, who had been my source of funds, was killed by Adrian, but in the end, everything went as planned. As he continued to make false assassination attempts on the crown prince, the queen touched his concubine, and the poisonous concubine acted in a timely manner and was able to eliminate Dozern without even touching him. However, once Crown Prince Manahan is dealt with, Adrian Bigor remains as the royal family with the right to succession. And Adrian’s life was in my hands. As long as the woman he regarded as gold was captured, Adrian, who would become an obedient puppet, was placed on the throne and could take charge of all of Laurentyne. It will take some more time, but the day will come when he will take this seat and sit down.

Hennessy burst into laughter for a while, making the throne room sound ominously.
