CHAPTER 4: EACH TRUTH AND EACH HAPPINESS (XXI)

Part 087

She praised Hennessy and the militia in the most serious and solemn tone possible. In fact, she wanted to grab Hennessy’s hand and run away asking where he was just now, but she held back.

“You are doing very well. The royal family knows about your performance. They will greatly praise you once the situation is settled.”

“Oh no. No, Administrator. It was all something everyone had to do for our region.”

“Hennessy, there are many places in Midok, including the outer castle area, that need manpower. If I tell you where labor is needed, would you be able to send your men to help? I will also give you fair compensation when the war is over…”

“How dare we do what you are doing, Administrator?”

Hennessy lifted his head and looked at her with wide eyes. How dare you. Even if a cat who knows the kingdom appears, she was ready to ask for a favor. When she nodded loudly, Hennessy bowed his head with an impressed face.

“If you just leave it to me, I will do my best for anything.”

“Okay. Well, I need someone to go back and forth so you and I can keep in touch…”

She couldn’t come to the outer castle station every time to see Hennessy, and she couldn’t have Hennessy come to the king’s palace to report, and she needed someone to act as a liaison with the militia, and right now the administrators were just people with a lot of work to do. What should she do?

She tilted her head and suddenly looked back. Jenny and Sir Franz. And then there was Lord Hegel, who made eye contact with me and absentmindedly pointed to himself with his finger.

“Um, me?”

“Yes, Lord Hegel. I would like you to lead the militia through the militia commander here.”

“No, miss. I am an escort…”

“Lord Franz is there too, so why would I be in any danger? Lord Hegel, please help me out.”

When Lord Hegel looked at Franz, Franz quickly went behind Jenny’s back and hid. Hegel nodded his head, looking very lonely. He supplemented the manpower that was lacking and also gave work to high-quality people who were whining about not having work, so that’s good, that’s good. All they had to do was maintain Midoc like this until the capital army on the front lines defeated the bad guys.

Wednesday, the 54th day of fall. When Adrian joined the Count’s allied forces, the Taln army, which lost its proud Sangvis cavalry, moved its army cautiously. They gave up their speed and rushed down to the Great Territory across the plains made up of wetlands and forests. After discussing with the three counts, Adrian decided to deal with the Taln army in front of the Great Estate. The residents of the Great County fled to the Counties of Oli and Ethart, repaired the walls, and prepared for war. And, the battle also began on the Jezero Plain.

As soon as the rebels reached the western side of the plains, the capital army rushed in. The rebels, who had not even set up their camp, were momentarily taken aback, but confidently pushed down into the Jezero Plain, believing in their numerical superiority. They lured the rebels who had fallen prey to provocation and brought the cavalry to the trenches they had dug, and Cale and Ban’s star corps attacked from both the left and right towards the rebels’ command center. Dozern, who had been leading the cavalry with great vigor and chasing down the main body of the capital army, spotted Tyrellius watching the situation from a safe place in the farthest innermost place. Dozern was unable to get any closer as he was blocked by the knights desperately blocking Tyrellius’ path, and screamed out in suppressed anger.

“You idiot, the only thing you know how to do is hide behind others! You should be guarding your dead mother, so why did you show up here!”

“Such a crazy bastard! You dared to assassinate His Majesty and then went astray! No matter what anyone says, you are the crown prince! There is no use in you fooling around!”

Dorzern rushed towards Tyrelius, who was shouting behind Homer. However, Boromir Luthor, who was following him, stopped Dozern and lowered his voice to report the situation.

“The command center is under attack. The cavalry is on the verge of destruction. You must leave.”

Dorzern, who could not help but listen to his loyal cousin, looked around him. He jumped deep into enemy territory and was on the verge of being surrounded. He gritted his teeth as he tried to turn around with Tyrellius in front of him. Dozern, unable to retreat like this, took out a bow from his back and fired an arrow. The arrow flew quickly past Tyrellius’ right ear. Blood pouring from his face and shouting that Tyrellius was dying, Dozern clicked his tongue and turned his horse’s head. Meanwhile, the chemistry between Cale and Ban, who raided the command center, was fantastic. At the same time, the two separate units that arrived in front of the command center instantly became one and slaughtered the rebel command center as if half of them were possessed while Kayle kept them in check. He cut off the throats of the two counts who had taken part in the rebellion, and then rushed at the horrified Marquis Luther. The command team, which was unprepared, was unable to stop the group and was completely confused. Van rushed right in front of Marquis Luther, who was trying to avoid him, and jumped on top of his running horse. He flew over the heads of the half-blocking rebel knights and plunged his sword into Marquis Luther’s chest. Marquis Luther fell down, spouting blood, and before Ban, who was rolling around on the ground, was surrounded, Cale quickly approached him and pulled him up onto the horse. Cale shouted as he looked around the rebel army’s command center, which was in shambles.

“Retreat!”

Cale and Ban’s detachment escaped as quickly as they had rushed in. By the time Boromir and Dorzern arrived at the command center in disarray with their subordinate commanders, many noble families had already lost their lives. The first battle was a great victory. The rebel cavalry, which numbered several thousand, led by Dozern, was cut in half, and many infantrymen were killed. And above all, Marquis Luther died. It was a remarkable achievement for a short battle that lasted less than three or four hours. The rebel army, which had majestically entered the Jezero Plain with well over 20,000 troops, had to push back the army to the end of the plain, set up a camp, and begin preparations for the next battle.

Two days after the valuable victories on both fronts were announced to Midok, a second battle took place on the Jezero Plain. Dozern and Boromir gritted their teeth and took up their ranks in front of the body of the dead Marquis Luther. As soon as the battle began, Dozern, who led the cavalry this time, came down deep into the capital army. Boromir did not appear to be protecting his command post, and Cale and Ban led the army again for the Yangdong operation. As the detachment moved, there was also movement in the rebel main unit. The rebels began to move to the left, led by Boromir’s banner. Homer and the Duke of Donovan put their heads together in response to the rebels’ movements targeting the detachment as if they were trying to avenge Marquis Luther. If left like this, Kayle’s star corps to the left will be surrounded.

“Boromir has started moving to the left. It looks like they have set a trap.”

“I already expected that they would target the special unit. I will provide support to the left, so please stay in the center.”

Duke Donovan divided the army and moved directly to reinforce the left corps. Although they did not achieve a one-sided victory like in the first battle, the speed of the rebel cavalry, which had to advance by removing one by one the trenches and roadblocks that had suffered harshly last time, was slow. And Dozern, who led them, looked thirsty as if he was being chased by something. Tyrelius, who had his right ear torn and had his entire face bandaged, watched the situation and stepped forward. Before Homer had time to stop him, he shouted to the commanders, who were volunteer heads of households and cattle heads from noble families.

“Dozern, the leader of the rebellion, looks like a rat in a poison over there. If we catch him, the war will end. Everyone, follow me!”

It was Tyrelius, who had been gnashing his teeth after being shot by Dozern and had stopped drinking his favorite drink for two days. When Homer, who had never thought he would step forward in a dangerous situation, came to his senses, Tyrellius, surrounded by knights gathered to protect the crown prince, had already jumped into the enemy lines. Everyone knew it was nominal, but the military’s supreme commander was leading the way. Whether to follow his commands or to protect him, it is natural that the focus of the battle is focused on him. The balance began to be broken as the soldiers who were pushing out the rebels from their respective positions left their positions one by one. Tirelius, who arrived a short distance from Dozern, shouted loudly.

“Dozern! Your struggles end here!”

Dozern did not respond, but put an arrow on his bow and let it fly. An arrow passed over the head of Tyrellius, who was lying flat on his horse, and Dozern made a wistful look on his face and sneered.

“You rat. Is there anything you can do other than lying down and dodging?”

Then, Tyrellius shouted and drove his horse to catch Dozern, who was retreating behind the cavalry. Homer, who followed, tried to dissuade him, but it was no use. If the crown prince dies, it will have a negative impact on morale. Homer gritted his teeth and followed the crown prince into the enemy lines, but when he ran into Boromir, who had wandered to the left, his backside got cold. He was deceived. It was like being caught in a double trap set by Boromir. Duke Donovan divided his main force and headed to the left, so the center was already short of troops, and Tyrellius rushed in, disorganizing the front line, so the capital army was gathered in one place. The siege was instantaneous. The rebels surrounded the capital city and began a counterattack. This time, many knights died to protect Tyrellius, who was running wild in fear. Homer used his desperate strength to break through the escape route and take out Tyrellius, and in the midst of confusion, his left arm was cut somewhere and his blood was pouring out, and he ran away screaming.

“Retreat!! Retreat! Retreat!!”

“No! Ready the battle lines! Duke Donovan will be here soon!”

Homer shouted in a hurry, but his soldiers began to turn away from the battle when they saw the crown prince running backwards, shouting to retreat. The rebel cavalry that joined Boromir’s main force attacked behind them. He had no choice but to grit my teeth and turn my back on Homer. He didn’t know how many soldiers he lost on his way back because he rushed at them without hesitation. When Duke Donovan, who had joined Cale who had gone to the left, returned to the center, the balance of the battle had already been broken to the point where he could not even do anything about it. The rebels were pressing close behind, and the crown prince was running backwards without a moment’s rest, shouting for retreat. Duke Donovan, who read the charter, spoke in a sorrowful voice.

“We are giving up on the Zezero Plain. It is obvious that we will lose too many soldiers at this rate.”

Homer nodded his head, controlling his anger that was pounding on his head. After a brief meeting on horseback, Duke Donovan reorganized the lines of the retreating army. Cale quickly rode his horse and joined Ban’s detachment to the right. Even in the midst of the chaos, Bando, who had cut off the heads of three enemy generals and returned, safely joined the retreat procession. Homer drove his horse and caught up with Tyrellius, who was still running and shouting. Many soldiers and knights were watching, but with an expressionless face, Tyrelius was hit on the back of the head. With a loud roar, Tyrellius fell from his horse. The capital army, which had barely regained its battle line after losing many soldiers, withdrew from the Jezero Plain and headed toward Midok. And then the rebel army, with great momentum, chased after them.

Ese príncipe heredero si que es idiota, como me enoja que por su tontería perdieran la vida tantos soldados, debo aclarar que para el otro príncipe fue bueno que estuviera el príncipe heredero ya que consiguieron su victoria
