CHAPTER 3.21

CHAPTER 3: YOU ARE QUALIFIED TO BE THERE (XXI)

Part 060

My teacher’s son, who was sitting across from her in the carriage, immediately guessed her condition as soon as he saw her. He came to her with a worried look on his face and asked her what had happened, and she told him about what happened last weekend with a somewhat tearful heart. Including Eilene’s story, which was always on her mind.

“If we can get that maid named Milena and her second wife involved, the royal trial that Her Majesty the Queen is preparing for this time will become more extreme.”

“I guess that’s true, right? If it’s proven that Hubimama’s slush funds flowed to Taln, it’s at least a plot for rebellion.”

“If that happens, everyone, including the Second Prince and the Luther family, will have their heads blown off. I guess that’s why they looked so bad because they were worried about the family division.”

The queen pointed out and accused her concubine as the mastermind behind the subsequent assassination attempt on her crown prince. So next week, the royal trial will be held for the first time in 70 years. Homer’s plan was to secure as much evidence as possible by then and resolve the rebellion plot at once. So, they decided to meet again at the princess’s palace today. The royal trial begins next week, and if it escalates into a rebellion plot, there will be no time to save Ailene. It was impossible to leave the child who did not even know anything. She chose the wrong man, so she should die? Even if she had committed a deadly crime, she wouldn’t have been able to stay silent, but this wasn’t a case where she could pretend not to notice just because someone said something mean to her.

“Before the trial begins in earnest, I would like to ask the princess one more favor. I need to tell her to come out of the second prince’s palace right away. No, how can this guy, the prince, really think of inviting foreign powers into a war? When I heard about this and took on this job, I couldn’t believe it. Still, he wouldn’t be this crazy. War isn’t a kid’s joke. But what is this? Oh really. I want to run over and rip it open right now.”

“If we sever the link between them and Taln this time, we will be able to prevent war. Although the Iron Blood Horsemen of the Duchy of Taln are famous, Dozern would have been foolish to think that they could overthrow the Laurentians to that extent. Well, my lady. “If you really need to go grab it, I’ll give you a hand too.”

Adol shrugged his shoulders and playfully comforted her. She smiled with gratitude, but it seemed her face didn’t brighten up with satisfaction. He patted her hand that was on her lap.

“I think it would be a good idea to give advice to the Donovan.”

“I’m really afraid that the Duke will pretend not to know. Still, I guess I should do that. Thank you, sir.”

“Nothing much to say, lady. Oh, and the academic world has surprisingly responded well. I’m talking about the primogeniture you mentioned earlier.”

“Is it so?”

“There are quite a few colleagues who are willing to join forces, so discussions are in full swing right now. This is just nonsense from scholars who have no political power yet, but everyone agrees on the evaluation of the crown prince and the second prince, so it is a good start. “

“I’m glad. Please help me later when I really need it.”

“If it helps, it’s okay.”

Today again, she had lunch with her teacher, and when she entered the princess’s palace, Homer, who had been there before, stood up and was happy to see me. As soon as she greeted Princess Remina and sat down, she thrust a bundle of papers at her, but Remina stopped her.

“Homer, this comes first.”

Then she held out a silk thong to her.

“The child of the 2nd Prince’s Palace sent me this today. It is probably to be given to you. I have no idea what its meaning is.”

The silk string she was holding had small violets embroidered on it, and there was a clear message sent to her underneath it.

One o’clock on Thursday. Ailene asked to meet first.

‘Thank god.’

She had been thinking of asking Princess Remina today, but she never thought he would contact her first. When her face lit up after receiving the silk string, Teacher Adol asked curiously.

“Is this something meaningful?”

“It’s a message. I said to meet at one o’clock on Thursday. Princess, she wants to meet Ailene one more time at the pavilion she went to before. Please help me.”

“That’s not difficult. Is it like a secret text message between close friends? You read the pattern under the flower, right?”

“Secret text, yes. That’s right. It’s a text that only me and Ailene know.”

“Yes. I heard she used to make things like that. I see. It would be nice to have lunch at the inner palace for a while. We will eat and then go see the child.”

She unexpectedly even invited her to a meal. Our princess was, shall we say, indifferently kind. Homer was fidgeting next to her with a lot to say, but he just hung up and took care of Ailene’s message. Should she call this insight or insight? If she hadn’t seen this and she had gone into the meeting with Homer, she would have had a hard time concentrating with this issue constantly on her mind. She had only seen her a few times, but she didn’t know if she understands her or if she’s just trying to prioritize things well, but the more she saw her, the more she liked her. The crown prince was such a fool, and the second prince was so blatantly crazy that even if she were just a normal person, she would have thought the princess would be the best.

‘My princess, I support her very seriously. If you ask me to vote, I will post a proof shot saying you’re the best, but it’s a shame. I still feel very anxious because so many incidents are happening.’

Since Ailene was being executed, that has to be prevented somehow. Still, they had a chance to meet her again, and since she was first asked by Ailene, they could talk in detail. She would have to persuade her well and tell her to go back to Nodobanga. Or should she tell them to stay at home for a while? As she was lost in thought, Homer kept opening and closing his mouth. When he made eye contact with her, he held out the document with a kind smile on his face. However, the thickness of the document was not friendly at all.

“Has there been any progress in the investigation into the foundation?”

“It was just as you guessed.”

“Yes?”

“The real estate that the Disabled Veterans’ Family Foundation purchased with Milena as its agent had already had a sales contract. There were different actual owners. All purchases were made last winter.”

“So you’re saying the monetization was already completed last year?”

“The investment above has been fully recovered. Some of the tops were actually ghost tops. We also found a place where the investment itself was a lie.”

Wow. So the scale of this is beyond imagination? Wouldn’t a mansion in the center of Midoc cost over 10 million gold at best? She understood that their count’s residence was worth close to 10 million gold even though it is quite far out of town. Do you take the money you saved for good causes and send it to foreign countries as military funds? Even tens of millions of gold? Were these people really crazy? She was too shocked to respond, but Homer looked behind her with an apologetic look. When she turned around, the white papers were piled up, and to add a little bit of exaggeration, the pile was as high as her height.

‘Oh, no way.’

“As I was scraping together the large amount of data available, I had to find out exactly how much of the reserves went to Losom….”

But what? What was the amount? A bit much? Was that a bit much? Yes? Did that look okay to you? What? Don’t smile like you’re being kind, I won’t fool you anymore.

“Chief, that’s labor exploitation at that level.”

That’s right. That’s right. Princess Remina, who was worse than our princess, clicked her tongue and scolded Homer. He said, scratching the back of her head.

“Even if the trial starts next week, it will take time for that issue to come out. There will be a lot of noise in the beginning due to the crown prince’s assassination. Could you please sort it out as much as possible in the meantime?”

“You should try it. Ahaha.”

“Thank you, my lady. And are you sure you don’t want to come to the royal inspection team? I will definitely guarantee you an unprecedented promotion as a leader’s privilege.”

He, who was looking at her with pity, shook his head at Homer’s question, which made her startled just by hearing it. Princess Lemina also shook her head. And she shook her head with as serious a face as she could. Homer scratched the back of his head again and made a sad look on his face. In the real estate sector, there were only four cases and a very large amount of money was exchanged, so she started first because it didn’t seem difficult to figure out the actual transaction amount.

‘But Milena, you didn’t sell it for money, but you bartered it for other real estate, jewelry, land, etc.? Was he trying to avoid any trace of his funds?’

In this case, she had to research the transaction history of each item again until she found the cash price, and then add it up when she find the amount, right? Oh? Did she also provide transaction details for each item after Milena? Damian looked at Homer, who must have been having a hard time. Oh my gosh, how hard could it have been to do this all in one day? She tried to look at him with a sharp look, but her eyes didn’t match those of Li Yui’s. Homer stuttered and averted his eyes. He cleared his throat and moved to sit next to Adol, avoiding her gaze. Even Princess Remina came together and it took half a day to estimate the amount of just two cases. He managed to free himself and hurriedly came to the entrance of the inner palace. Wow, Adrian, with a flower-like smile on his face, came closer to her, grabbed my right hand, and kissed the back of her hand.

“I missed you.”

They haven’t seen each other for a day. But she missed him too. She almost ran over and hugged him, whether the teacher was watching or not. She had a hard time. She never even joined the company, but her vicious boss harassed her.

“Do you have somewhere to go today?”

“Haha, Professor. Are you at peace?”

“I hope you live in peace. In many ways.”

She was so embarrassed that she threw away the stone and looked at Adrian and clicked his tongue. Adrian just laughed ‘haha’.

“Take care of yourselves, young lady. You worked hard today.”

“Don’t worry.”

Adol looked at her, who was holding Adrian’s hand, smiled happily, and got into his carriage. And then Adrian and she got into the huge carriage of the Duke of Bigor. Her eyes were strained because she had been looking at numbers all day. Adrian asked in a worried voice if he looks tired.

“Would you like to go to Count Ethard’s residence right away? You are tired.”

“My eyes are a little tired, but I don’t want to go home. Let’s go eat something delicious. Strong meat. Sweet cake. Something like this.”

When she smiled brightly, Adrian also smiled brightly. Then he got up from where he was sitting across from her and sat down next to her. Then, with his eyes wide open, he patted her head.

“Please wait a moment until we arrive.”

‘Oh my, look at this guy? Are you saying you want to give me a knee pillow now? Are you telling me to lie down there? With a gentle eye smile? If I were to lie down, would you know that I wouldn’t be able to do so?’

She cut Adrian’s hand, lifted both of her legs, and immediately laid herself down. Had to bend her legs, but alas. She thought she would buy it. Adrian asked in a voice full of laughter as he closed his eyes and sobbed.

“Are you comfortable?”

“It’s comfortable except the pillows are too hard.”

Adrian laughs out loud at my answer. And something warm and moist briefly touched her forehead. She wanted to pretend she didn’t know, but she was going to the room. Adrian’s laughter was heard again.
