Chapter 32
“Am I going crazy?”
His words made her mouth dry up. Hyun-oh didn’t stop talking. He seemed ready to say something bizarre without hesitation. Hyun-oh stroked Sua’s hair and muttered to himself, making a rustling sound with his fingers.
“I didn’t drink much, but I seem drunk. Saying these things to you without hesitation.”
He smirked. But it wasn’t the usual gentle smile; there was something sinister about it. Sua quickly looked away.
“…It’s different from usual.”
His tone was a bit rougher. It wasn’t the usual kind and affectionate feeling, but a rough sensation.
“You don’t seem like Hyun-oh, you seem like a bad guy.”
Even as Sua whispered, Hyun-oh continued to stroke her lips. It felt like he might push his fingers between her lips at any moment. He laughed at her attempt to hide her nervousness.
“It might be awkward if you say it’s bad.”
Sua wasn’t so naive as to not understand what he meant by “bad deeds.”
“I’m planning to do even worse things in the future.”
Even worse things.
Before she could fully understand what that meant, his hot lips suddenly engulfed hers.
His hot tongue plunged into her unsuspecting mouth. Tension ran through her body instantly.
“Suck.”
His tongue forcefully delved into Sua’s mouth, but Hyun-oh’s lips melted slowly and gently. His blunt tongue stirred inside her.
It was different from the kisses they had shared before.
Those kisses, after waiting for him all night and seducing him, were just touches. There was no excitement or pleasure, just a sense of despair at being abandoned by him.
But this time…
It was sweet and hot, like a kiss on a honeymoon night. It was so gentle that she worried Hyun-oh’s lips might melt away. Unintentionally, a moan escaped her lips.
“Um…”
Unlike before, when she thought she shouldn’t, this time it was either because it wasn’t the first time or because the cool sea breeze was blowing,
Or maybe it was because his fingers were gently stroking her hair…
Sua found it difficult to resist this time. With her lips partly open, he plunged in. It was so hot, too hot to handle. But when their lips parted, a moment of clarity returned.
“Ha… ha…”
Sua raised her hand to his chest. There was something she needed to ask.
“Why are you suddenly doing this?”
There were too many reasons for him not to divorce her, so she could somewhat understand. He might feel responsible for marrying Sua, a believer, or he might pity her now fallen self and want to save her.
What she couldn’t understand was why a man who had avoided her like that suddenly wanted her.
“You hated it, didn’t you? On our honeymoon, you were the one who spent the night with me and cried endlessly.”
“…What?”
“It was you who endured sleeping next to me and crying. It was too cruel for me.”
What is he saying? When did I say I hated it…? I cried on our honeymoon night, but it was tears of joy from feeling that pleasure for the first time and the excitement of finally touching him.
Seeing Sua’s astonished expression, Hyun-oh whispered.
“It didn’t matter to me. I thought you didn’t mind. We have time, so it’ll be different. As long as we have time, it’ll be fine.”
He gently stroked Sua’s hair with his finger. Even though there shouldn’t be any nerves, it stood up sensitively.
“But now, I don’t have time to wait like that anymore. If we divorce, it’s over.”
“Hyun-oh, I think you’re misunderstanding something… I’ve always…”
I’ve always liked you.
Sua was about to say that, but she realized from his expression that he had never believed her sincerity. Did he think I hated myself? Then what does he mean? He didn’t hate me. Did he think I hated him…?
With her mind in turmoil, Sua saw Hyun-oh smile slightly.
“I don’t have time. Don’t run away. So, Sua.”
A name that was neither ordinary nor extraordinary. But when it came from Hyun-oh’s lips, it couldn’t help but feel special.
Her heart skipped a beat.
Even though she knew they had to break up, even though she knew she had to forget about the pain of unrequited love for the other person’s sake…
Even though she had become an adult who had to consider not only her own feelings but also the feelings of others…
She still hadn’t changed from the eighteen-year-old Sua who liked him.
“Sua.”
Tenderly, as he called her name, her heart skipped a beat. The hand that had been pushing him away loosened its grip. Gently, she swept her hand over his shoulder.
“This is cheating…”
“What?”
“When Hyun-oh looks at me like that…”
His black pupils, dark as they were, revealed nothing of what he was thinking.
“When he calls my name like that…”
In a low, familiar voice.
“I… I…”
“What’s the matter?”
His moist lips brushed against Sua’s ear. The sensation of his breath against her skin sent shivers down her spine.
“It feels strange.”
At that, Hyun-oh chuckled softly. His voice reverberated through her mind.
“It’s okay to feel strange.”
“…”
“I’m telling you to feel strange.”
His finger slowly traced down Sua’s neck to her rounded shoulder.
Back in high school, even the touch of his fingertips against her lips as he wiped away fruit juice felt like she would die. But now, with Hyun-oh’s touch carrying such clear intentions, it brought a dizzying sensation to Sua.
Three months later, we’re getting divorced.
Hyun-oh tried to prevent the divorce to take responsibility for himself. He’s tempting his wife, who wants to break up, to convince her as if we were in a fake marriage.
“Sua.”
As his lips trailed down her ear, she sighed.
She wasn’t so innocent as to not feel the tension mixed with his breath. Each exhale from Hyun-oh sent chills down her spine.
His finger caught the end of Sua’s shirt. It was just a simple touch. But when his finger slid down her wrist, she tensed so much that her toes curled.
His finger slipped inside her shirt. It tickled persistently.
“If you don’t want this, say so.”
He thought she didn’t want him, but in truth, he didn’t know if she did. No, either way, we still have to get divorced.
Because I won’t be of any help to him in the future.
Three months later, we’re getting divorced…
So I have to reject him. But…
“I feel like I’m going crazy.”
His playful voice shook her mind.
“But if you don’t want it, I won’t do it.”
“…”
“I feel like I’m going crazy, though.”
As he spoke, Hyun-oh swallowed dryly.
It was Sua who felt like she was going crazy.
Three months… Shouldn’t we enjoy our time together and get divorced?
There won’t be another chance for me to hold the man I love. We should have a good three months of married life and then part without regrets. If he wants me now, wouldn’t that be enough?
Because it was an agreement.
“Hmm? Sua.”
As Sua looked at him with unfocused eyes, Hyun-oh whispered.
The man’s figure, seen through the fluttering strands of hair in the breeze, seemed like a devil.
“Hyun-oh is a bad person.”
“Why?”
“Even though you know I can’t resist…”
“…”
“Even though you didn’t ask, you kissed me…”
“…”
“Just do it, why are you giving me a choice…”
If you just crave me, I could justify it later, but why ask for my consent at this crucial moment?
“You’re really bad… But.”
“…”
“Even though you’re such a bad Hyun-oh…”
Her determination flared up.
Sua intertwined her fingers with Hyun-oh’s, which were holding her wrist, and pulled him towards her.
In an instant, the man’s solid body collided with hers. She lifted his head with her hand and pulled him in.
Splash.
As if leaping off a high cliff, the decision took a long time, but the action was instantaneous. Their lips met passionately. Liquid pooled between their lips as they kissed on the terrace.
Even though she knew it was wrong, or perhaps because it was a forbidden act, it felt even more thrilling and urgent.
“Han Sua.”
His lips brushed against Sua’s ear. The moist sensation made her body tremble. His voice reverberated through her eardrums, swelling her chest.
His hand traversed down Suah’s tensed shoulder from the tension, but instead of relaxing, she felt a tingling sensation spreading to even the toes he hadn’t touched.
“Hah!”
There was nothing to fear for her, who had already made up her mind once.
She just wanted to touch the man she loved. That desire was all that mattered.
