Show Your Face, Prince!

SYFP Chapter 10

Chapter 10

Letier’s eyes narrowed.

A man with an unforgettable look.

It was Reuter, the big man who was stomping around among the people sitting on the sidewalk.

Reuter raised the man who was lying helpless, asked him questions, looked closely, handed him water, and moved to another person, repeating the same action.

“What the hell is he doing over there?”

“Princess, what are you looking at?”

Ephron, who had been chasing after a few steps, came closer.

He followed Letier’s gaze, looked at the man standing at the end of it, and furrowed his eyebrows.

‘Who is it?’

He didn’t fit in with this place.

He must have found and wore something as plain as possible, but at first glance, the clothes were made of luxurious fabrics and the solid body hidden underneath.

The unusual atmosphere was ambiguous even to be seen as a commoner, but it was also ambiguous to be called a nobleman because he wandered around such places.

“Ephron. That person, the person who helped me.”

Letier pointed at the man and said.

Lucy, who couldn’t wait any longer and returned to Letier, also looked at the man.

“Yes? Who? Did you meet someone you know?”

“Reuter!”

Letier put her hands together and called Reuter.

He bent down to talk to people and turned his head to where the sound had come from.

The man’s red eyes filled with wonder.

“What? Why is the young lady here…”

As Letier unconsciously took steps to approach Reuter, Ephron, who was standing beside her, quickly blocked her.

“Don’t get too close. It could be dangerous.”

“What?”

Letier looked around the alley again and was startled when she saw the eyes of the people looking at her.

Everyone was lying helpless, but a bright light was shining in their eyes.

With their pale, dark faces, they stared intently at Letier, who was dressed in fancy fashion.

“Ah….”

“Stay where you are, I’m coming.”

Reuter, noticing the flustered Letier, got up and approached her.

“Why is the young lady here….”

Ephron, who was standing next to Letier, swung the dagger he was holding before the man finished speaking.

The man didn’t finish his speech and ducked his head back.

The sheath whizzed past him at breakneck speed, stirring the wind in the man’s nostrils.

‘He avoid this?’

Ephron straightened the scabbard and glared at the man.

The man didn’t lose and met Ephron’s eyes and opened his mouth with a cold face.

“… What are you doing now?”

“She’s the only daughter of Duke Lenever. Be polite.”

“Ephron, it’s fine.”

Letier said, grabbing Ephron’s arm and lowering it.

It was dizzying to think that Ephron would have hit the man in the face with a dagger.

She thought Ephron had retracted his own blade before it reached Reuter’s face.

There weren’t many in the Trilante Empire who could dodge his blade.

“Quit the welcome.”

As if protecting Letier, Ephron stood in front of her.

As far as he knew, there were only a handful of men in the empire who could speak to the princess.

And Ephron knew their faces, their names, their positions.

This man before him was not one of those he knew.

Placing a hand on Ephron’s back, who continued to glare at him warily, Letier spoke in a calm voice.

“Ephron, don’t worry. It’s because this person didn’t learn properly.”

“What?”

The man frowned and looked at Letier standing behind Ephron.

“And we decided to just talk comfortably to each other. Right, Reuter?”

“Princess, how can you agree to have a conversation with someone who hasn’t learned!”

“That’s right, princess! When did you get close to someone you didn’t learn like this?”

He didn’t learn…

Although it was a word he himself uttered, the words were still enough to make the unlearned man feel uncomfortable.

The man straightened up and sighed.

“I always wanted to see you again because you disappeared without a word last time, but I ran into you again in a commercial district. Do you live near here?”

“Wh-What… Yes.”

“In the end, you didn’t even take the gold coins, did you? I’ll make sure to repay that today. I’ll buy you anything, so you can pick.”

“Princess, we don’t have time to waste leisurely with a man like this in a place like this.”

Ephron dissuaded Letier and turned his head.

The man looking at them was dumbfounded.

Who is the one who caught himself busy, but who is not idle and who wastes what?

There was still a lot of work to be done.

The man looked at Ephron and Letier for a moment before opening his mouth.

“Lady’s people don’t want her to be with someone hasn’t learned. I’m also not comfortable in a place like this, so please go on your way, but I’m sure you’ll be fine in return.”

The man turned around without regret.

Then, Letier jumped out from behind Ephron and grabbed the man’s wrist.

“I can’t because I feel uncomfortable like this. Choose anything.”

“Ha.”

What’s so strong about a small thing?

The man turned his head with a troubled expression.

Purple eyes with kind eyes that had nothing to hold back came straight into him and stuck.

The man involuntarily frowned.

“… Then, give each of the people sitting on this street at least one silver coin. The young lady wants to give me anything, I want nothing, and there are plenty of them. Wouldn’t that be better for everyone?””

“What?”

The hand that was holding the man’s wrist loosened.

After thinking about it for a while, Letier quietly picked up her bag and took out her wallet, and Ephron came over and stopped her.

“Princess, this is an absurd request. Ignore it.”

“No, it’s not that…”

“That’s right, princess! Do you think a single silver coin will satisfy them? Besides, knowing how many people are on this street…!”

“Lucy, it’s not….”

The man raised his red eyes and looked at Letier, who was arguing with the two, before opening his mouth.

“My dear young lady, walk away and go where you belong. Never set foot in a place like this again. And don’t meddle unnecessarily.”

“No, wait…”

He didn’t listen to Letier’s answer and moved quickly, turning around the alley and disappearing.

Letier looked in the direction the man had disappeared, blinking.

What is it, why is he so fast?

As soon as the man was gone, Lucy started grunting loudly.

“What kind of person is he? Are they all like that?”

“He’s a strange person, Princess. Please don’t run into him next time.”

“Ephron, hold on….”

“That’s right! What? Give a silver coin? Does that make sense now? Why does the princess take out her wallet right away after listening to such nonsense so seriously?”

“Not that…”

“Let’s go!”

“Lucy!!”

Letier screamed out loud.

Lucy and Ephron, who were walking, looked back at Letier in amazement.

They had been by her side for several years, but it was the first time they had ever heard the princess shout.

They opened their eyes wide and opened their mouths.

After taking a deep breath, Letier opened her mouth again and spoke in her usual calm voice.

“Ephron.”

“Yes, princess.”

“Can you find that man?”

“Why is that? As I already said, silver coins…”

“Not a silver coin! What I was looking for in my wallet wasn’t a silver coin!”

Letier stamped her feet.

She was trying to scream again out of frustration.

Surprised, Ephron nodded vigorously.

“Yes, yes! princess! Please speak…!”

“I was just looking for this. I meant to give this to that man.”

Letier held up her small hand and showed it to Ephron and Lucy.

“Uh? this is…”

A small, flat, square piece of paper.

The golden letters engraved in the beautiful handwriting are…

“Isn’t this the princess’ business card?”

“Yeah, that’s right!”

With a puzzled expression, Lucy lifted the business card from Letier’s hand.

<Lenever cosmetics store representative, Letier Lenever>

Below her name, written along with the company name, was a simple manor address.

Lucy tilted her head as she turned back and forth to see if it was different from the business cards she had seen.

“Why this?”

“I thought it was interesting what he said about giving a silver coin to people sitting on the street. From what I’ve heard, he seems to be quite interested in the welfare of the people of the Empire, and I wanted to have a conversation about it.”

“About welfare?”

“I have often thought about how it would be to hire some store employees mainly from the underprivileged in the future, or to donate a certain percentage of product profits to needy neighbors. I was wondering if he has any similar ideas…”

Upon hearing Letier’s words, Lucy looked up at her with a thrilled face.

“Oh my gosh Princess! I didn’t even know that….”

“Princess, I’m sorry. I made a foolish decision with my brief insight.”

Ephron also bowed his head and apologized.

“Yes, it was very frustrating… None of you listened to me…”

“Don’t worry, princess! Then let’s go right now!”

Ephron took the business card from Lucy and bent down to tie his shoelaces again.

It was a preparation to run fast.

“I’ll find a guy called Reuter, give him this business card, and get right back! He went that way earlier, so he wouldn’t have gone that far.”

Ephron jumped quickly before he could hear Letier’s answer.
