She is the Daughter of the Villainess in a ridiculous Novel

SDVMN Chapter 6

“Sy, Sylvia, that’s…”

Seeing Jacob among the people, Gianna quickly called the name of the head maid.

She realized she had been caught after disappearing without a word.

Anxiety, guilt, and confusion rushed over her all at once.

Gianna, engulfed in the thought that she had to quickly resolve the situation, hastily got up from her seat.

“Hey, wait…!”

Moving so suddenly made her dizzy.

“Ah…!”

Well, it has already happened.

Idel, who had been trying to intervene belatedly, hesitated and withdrew her hand upon seeing Gianna’s staggering figure.

Unlike Idel, who felt bewildered alone, the onlookers turned pale when they saw Gianna staggering.”

“Miss Gianna!”

“Go call Dr. Aiman!”

“No, there’s no need for that.”

“Miss, are you okay? What on earth happened… Are you hurt anywhere?”

Seeing the fuss from the maid and other servants, a look of remorse appeared on Gianna’s face.

She felt like she’d blown things out of proportion.

Just as Gianna was about to move her lips to reassure the people, a sharp voice pierced her ears.

It was the voice of Sylvia, who had just been examining every nook and cranny of her body.

“Was Miss Idel the one who did this to you?”

“What?”

“Did Miss Idel raise her hand on Miss Gianna?”

Gianna’s eyes widened momentarily at Sylvia’s sharp voice. Idel raised her hand at her?

“Wait, Sylvia, that’s not it. It’s not like that…!”

“If it’s not like that, then what? I saw you lying on the ground, covered in dirt and dust, with my own two eyes, and I’m not the only one who saw Miss Idel raising his hand towards the young lad.”

“Idel was just trying to help me tidy my hair, but she tripped!”

“…Could you please confirm that, Miss Idel? Is that really what happened?”

Panic flickered in Gianna’s eyes as she slowly scanned the surroundings.

The other servants were nodding their heads in agreement with Sylvia’s words.

This was so different from what she had expected.

‘I thought I would just get scolded for sneaking out, but why…?’

Why was the arrow of blame suddenly directed at Idel?

The servants, who had been friendly with her, felt strangely distant today.

“If you won’t answer, Miss Idel, then I’ll have to tell the Duke exactly what I saw. Miss Idel pushed Miss Gianna and extended her hand towards her.”

“Sylvia! I’m telling you it’s not like that!”

Realizing her words weren’t getting through, Gianna looked at Idel, tapping her foot impatiently.

Her eyes seemed to demand that she deny it quickly.

Idel, who had been keeping her lips tightly sealed amidst the suffocating gaze, slowly blinked and met Gianna’s eyes.

As she saw Gianna’s blue eyes, similar to her own, fluttering in bewilderment, Idel opened her mouth.

“Yeah, I did that.”

“What? Idel! Why would you say that?”

Why was she telling such a lie?

Looking at Gianna’s shocked expression, Idel curled up the corners of her lips.

There were six people here who could be considered the core servants of the Duke’s household.

‘I was worried that Gianna would blab about how I helped her, but wow, this is a total jackpot!’

This is a perfect opportunity to please Melisa. She’s quite pleased with the current situation.

“Are you admitting that you pushed Miss Gianna and harassed her?”

“Why, are you going to run and tell on me?”

The child’s unpleasant tone made the surrounding atmosphere turn icy.

Idel set her chin a little more firmly, relishing the pointed looks she was getting.

She even stuck out her tongue slightly, as if daring them to do something.

“Even though you’re yelling at me now, I’m not scared at all, so what?”

“Sigh… Miss Idel.”

“It was that girl who started it with me in the first place…”

Just as Idel was about to come up with another excuse, a soft brown head suddenly popped up from the side and enveloped her.

She began to defend Idel with a desperate voice, her eyes full of determination.

“That’s not true! I don’t know why Idel is saying this, but… She wasn’t trying to push me. She was just trying to tidy my hair, but ended up falling. It’s true!”

“…….”

Idel, who had tried to slink away like a thief with a sore foot after blaming Gianna, tightly closed her eyes in frustration.

This help, though kind and well-intentioned, was not welcome.

“S, she’s shorter than me, so, uh, she’d put a notebook there, and that notebook…”

“…….”

“Ugh, seriously, what’s with you?”

Worried that Gianna might clear up the misunderstanding, Idel cut her off abruptly.

‘She was just trying to clear up the servants’ misunderstanding, but oh well.’

Idel, who was one step away from Gianna, as if she didn’t want to be near her, flicked her hair back with one hand.

Then, in a chilly voice, she accused her.

“I told you not to come near me; you’re filthy.”

“Huh? That’s true, but it’s a little, a little different…”

“It’s not different at all, you idiot.”

“No! Your voice was quite different when you were helping me with the branch…”

“Just a moment, Miss Gianna. So, are you saying that Miss Idel also verbally abused you?”

Gianna’s small rebuttal was drowned out by the cold words of the head maid.

To the servants, Idel was the black sheep, and Gianna was the innocent lamb.

From Idel’s tone and behavior to her usual conduct.

The servants, wearing various colored glasses, did not feel the need to interpret the scene they had witnessed differently.

‘It’s quite desirable for me, though.’

As the situation flowed quite convincingly, Idel felt relieved, while Gianna’s face was contorted in various ways, feeling incredibly suffocated as if talking to a wall.

Her eyes glazed over with tears, then slowly began to fall like beads.

Her sobs echoed loudly through the garden.

“No…! It’s all lies; Idel didn’t do that… Huuuh!”

“Miss Gianna.”

“Huuk, huu! Leave me alone…!”

The startled servants rushed to console Gianna, but to no avail.

She began sobbing loudly, and quickly shook off their attempts to help her.

Her gasping breath and reddened eyes were pitiful. Idel nearly reached out her hand involuntarily, but she managed to stop herself just in time.

In fact, she had expected Gianna to cover for her to some extent.

It wasn’t because of the novel; rather, it was because of the impression she got when they first met.

She knew it, but she didn’t want to miss out on the opportunity.

Realizing Gianna’s kindness was greater than she had anticipated, Idel bit her lip inwardly.

‘No, why is she crying so sadly as if she’s been falsely accused?’

…It made her feel sorry.

Idel subtly glanced at her, thinking that if she cried too much, it might cause some trouble.

After a long moment of sobbing, Gianna sighed and spoke up as if she remembered something.

“And as for being ‘filthy’, that’s because, huuung, that’s because I, I was secretly sneaking around with Jacob…”

Of all things, she had to bring up that topic.

“Hey!”

“Uh, ugh!”

Rushing over like a flash, Idel quickly covered Gianna’s mouth, her eyes wide as she met hers.

‘I thought my heart was going to fall out of my chest! How could she have mentioned sneaking out now?’

It seemed the Duke’s people were ready to build a diamond fortress around her for her safety.

If that statement just now blocked the only secret path…

‘Then not only I, but all of us, will be doomed.’

If she couldn’t find the black mage, she would be manipulated by Melisa until the end, and the Duke would die.

Of course, things would change when the angelic Duchess returned, but in the meantime, Gianna would suffer unnecessary misfortune.

Regardless of Idel’s hidden intentions, her outward actions were enough to shock the servants.

The head maid’s face hardened at Idel’s sudden behavior, and she raised her voice and gave instructions.

“Miss Gianna! What are you doing, not quickly separating—no, escorting Miss Idel?”

“Oh, uh, yes!”

Idel gave Gianna a strong glare, but the servants rushed over and pulled her away.

She even made a secret gesture with her mouth, clearly telling her not to say anything.

That’s when it happened.
