Chapter 42 – The Troubles of the Liu Family
Long Hao’s mouth was twisted and his speech was slurred. Yan Xiaosi tried not to laugh as she watched him.
“Haha…”
Long Hao looked so comical that she couldn’t hold back her laughter in the end.
Seeing her laugh so hard that her eyes disappeared, Long Hao felt somewhat embarrassed and angry.
He really underestimated the ability of this little brat.
Yan Shuyun looked at Long Hao’s struggling convulsions and tugged on Yan Xiaosi’s sleeve, saying, “Little brother, the people are gone. Hurry and think of a way to make Big Brother Long stop. Don’t forget, Big Brother Long’s injuries haven’t healed yet.”
Yan Xiaosi then held back her laughter and looked at Long Hao helplessly.
“Third sister, it’s not that I don’t want to make Big Brother Long stop. In order to save him just now, I had to pinch a nerve in his arm that made him convulse all over. But this nerve pinch is not like an acupoint seal, which can be undone. We have to let Big Brother Long gradually stop by himself. Look, Long Big Brother’s convulsions are not as severe now. It won’t take long for him to stop on his own.”
She really had no other choice.
Hearing Yan Xiaosi’s words, Yan Shuyun could only look apologetically at Long Hao, “Big Brother Long, Little Brother was just trying to save you by doing this. Just bear with it a little longer and you’ll be fine.”
Long Hao glanced at Yan Xiaosi resentfully, then silently withdrew his gaze, closed his eyes, and used his inner strength to suppress the urge to convulse.
Half a minute later, Long Hao calmed down to lay motionless on the wooden bed, causing Yan Xiaosi’s eyes to widen in surprise.
Having inner strength is great, and Long Hao is definitely not a simple man.
Not long after the three Rongdi spies left, Ms. Zhong, Yan Shuqin, and Yan Shuxue returned.
Yan Shuyun briefly recounted what had happened to Ms. Zhong, Yan Shuqin, and Yan Shuxue, causing them to tense up.
“Fortunately, Yan Xiaosi was quick-witted and managed to hide the truth.”
Ms. Zhong, Yan Shuqin, and Yan Shuxue’s expressions finally relaxed.
Ms. Zhong patted her chest, “As long as everything is fine. You siblings must be hungry. I’ll hurry and cook lunch.”
“Mom, big sister, second sister, you cook lunch, and I’ll go for a walk in the village.”
Before Ms. Zhong could reply, Yan Xiaosi had already left the broken grass temple.
She needed to check if the three Rongdi spies had really left Shaoyao Village.
Unknowingly, she found herself outside the village chief Liu Qianhe’s house.
“Liu Qianqian, you damn girl! How dare you take my grain and eggs to exchange with Yan Xiaosi for a broken mirror? You and your dead mother are the same, both good-for-nothing women!”
Standing outside the Liu family’s courtyard, Yan Xiaosi could clearly hear Zhao Lixia scolding Liu Qianqian.
After Zhao Lixia scolded her, Liu Qianqian started crying.
“You damn girl, how dare you cry? Why didn’t you follow your mother when she died?”
“Mengmeng’s mother, stop scolding and cook lunch. Mengmeng is hungry.”
“Mom, Dad, I’m hungry. I want to eat eggs.”
Inside the Liu family’s main room, Zhao Lixia glared at Liu Qianhe fiercely, “This damn girl is about to ruin our Liu family, and you, Liu Qianhe, you muddle headed fool, are still protecting her.”
Liu Mengmeng opened his mouth, wailing loudly. While crying, he pounced on Liu Qianqian, grabbing her hair, “Big sister, you’re bad! You owe me eggs! You owe me eggs!”
