Portable Space: Little Miracle Doctor

Chapter 29 – Cultivating in the Portable Space

As Yan Xiaosi was leaving, she reminded Yan Shuyun, “Third sister, your foot is injured, so don’t soak in the bath tonight. Just wipe your body with hot water, so that the wound doesn’t get wet and worsen.”

Leaving the broken temple, she found a secluded place. WIth some concentration, she entered the small building in her portable space.

There was a large bathroom in the bedroom on the third floor of the small building.

Having wandered around the Four Sisters Mountain for a long time during the day, she felt sticky and uncomfortable when she finally had some downtime. The smell of sweat on her body was similar to that of a smelly man. No wonder she had disguised herself as a man for so many years without being exposed.

She quickly found a clean robe in the wardrobe, rushed into the bathroom, and turned on both the heater and the shower. The warm water poured over her body, and she closed her eyes, enjoying it to the fullest.

After bathing, she went to the study to get the ancient book about the portable space. Then she went to the gym, sat cross-legged on a yoga mat, followed the instructions in the ancient book, made a hand gesture as if casting a spell, placed her hands on her knees, closed her eyes, and concentrated her mind to practice the technique from the book.

As it was her first time practicing her mental strength, she only tried some basic techniques. After trying for a quarter of an hour, she couldn’t bear it any longer and broke out in a sweat. She had to stop and open her eyes.

Once she had calmed down, she felt quite refreshed.

It seemed that practicing mental strength was indeed beneficial. After practicing for only a quarter of an hour, she felt invigorated. Continuing to practice would be good for her body, even if she didn’t become an expert.

Because she sweated from the practice, she had to bathe again, then changed back into her patched clothes and left the space.

“Yan Shuqin, tell me honestly, did Yan Xiaosi steal our family’s dog?”

As Yan Xiaosi came out of the space and headed towards the broken temple, Liu Qianqian’s yell reached her ears.

The people of the Liu family had discovered the loss of the mongrel dog so quickly.

She furrowed her brows, quietly approached the broken straw temple, and heard Liu Qianqian’s voice coming from the kitchen. She hid behind a pile of firewood, craned her neck, and looked towards the kitchen doorway. She saw that Ms. Zhong, Yan Shuqin, Yan Shuxue, and Yan Shuyun were confronting the people from the Liu family, while the Chen brothers were also present.

Since Yan Xiaosi had indeed killed the mongrel dog, Ms. Zhong and Yan Shuqin’s group seemed somewhat lacking in confidence when facing Liu Qianqian’s accusations.

Yan Shuqin swallowed her saliva and replied, “Liu Qianqian, what does your family’s missing dog have to do with my fourth brother? You… you shouldn’t blame everything on my fourth brother.”

Yan Shuxue nodded repeatedly, backing up Yan Shuqin’s statement, “Exactly, don’t blame everything on our fourth brother.”

Ms. Zhong swept her gaze over the Chen brothers and said, “Last night, the Chen brothers injured Xiaosi by the pond. Xiaosi can’t even walk properly now. How could he steal such a fierce dog?”

Mentioning the events of the previous night made the Chen brothers even more furious.

“Uncle Village Chief, Yan Xiaosi is not a good person. Your family’s dog must have been stolen by him. We’ll find out the truth by searching through their home.”
