Chapter 188 – Yan Shujing’s Innocence Destroyed

Consumed by fear, Yan Shujing’s current state, like a wounded deer, evoked pity and tenderness. Yao Cheng and Yao Jia were enticed by her appearance, their bodies heating up with desire.
Yao Cheng took two steps forward, reaching out to grab her. “Little sister Shujing, don’t be afraid, your big brother and second brother won’t hurt you.”
Seeing Yao Cheng’s hand reaching toward her chest, Yan Shujing’s heart skipped a beat in terror. She abruptly stepped back, tripping over a chair behind her, and fell onto it.
“Don’t come any closer! I am a young lady of the county court, my father’s adopted daughter, your sister. Don’t come any closer.”
Her lack of cooperation dimmed the smiles on Yao Cheng and Yao Jia’s faces.
Yao Jia sneered, “Our father has adopted countless daughters over the years. Do you think he would care about you?”
Terrified, Yan Shujing curled into a ball, her face deathly pale. “I’m different, I was adopted by father as a tool to woo General Zhan. If you harm me and ruin father’s plans, he will never forgive you.”
Yao Jia’s sneer grew colder, his eyes filled with contempt. “We indeed dared not touch you earlier, but seeing how the Dragon Guards threw you out of the eastern wing, it’s clear that General Zhan didn’t fancy you. Since he didn’t, it’s our turn to take good care of you.”
Yao Jia’s gaze lingered on her snow-white skin, his adam’s apple bobbing as he reached out to touch Yan Shujing’s face.
“Get away, don’t touch me.”
Yan Shujing swung her arm, pushing his hand away. “You can’t touch me, I am the young lady of the Yan family, my grandfather was once the magistrate of Xize County.”
Yao Jia, denied the chance to touch her, was filled with anger boiling inside him. He slapped Yan Shujing hard across the face.
“Bitch, it’s your luck that my brother and I fancy you. Don’t be ungrateful. How dare you use your near-dead grandfather to intimidate us? He’s retired, powerless, and even if we force ourselves on you, what can he do?”
Yan Shujing’s delicate skin reddened and swelled from the slap. Yao Jia, still furious, was about to hit her again but was stopped by Yao Cheng.
Yao Cheng grabbed Yao Jia’s hand, eyeing Yan Shujing’s partially exposed bosom with a lecherous smile. “Second brother, go easy. We don’t want to spoil the beauty and ruin our fun.”
“Right, big brother,” Yao Jia said, containing his anger. Then he turned to Yao Cheng, “Big brother, let’s get this done before father finds out, to avoid any complications.”
Yao Cheng nodded in agreement.
Yan Shujing, terrified as the brothers Yao Cheng and Yao Jia reached out to her, blacked out in fear. That night, she was in a daze, vaguely feeling pain all over her body, but she couldn’t open her eyes.
The next morning, unbearable pain forced her to open her eyes. As consciousness returned, the pain became more acute, making her gasp in agony. Her blank gaze roamed the room, and the sight of the carved armchair by the bed brought back memories of the previous night.
Thrown out of the eastern wing by the Dragon Guards, she was then abducted by the sons of the county magistrate and those beasts…
Her thoughts abruptly stopped, and she let out a wail.
At that moment, two maids from the county court brought in clean clothes and food. “Miss, here are fresh clothes and your breakfast, prepared by the young masters’ orders.”
Thinking of what Yao Cheng and Yao Jia had done to her the previous night, Yan Shujing’s entire being filled with hatred. She extended her hand from under the bedding, pointing angrily at the maids, “Get out, get out!”
Her arm, as white as lotus root, was covered in purplish-blue kiss marks. Seeing the marks, she gritted her teeth and, using her arms to support her battered body, tried to get out of bed. As she sat up, the silk bedding fell from her, revealing her upper body, also covered in bruise-like kiss marks.
With a scream, Yan Shujing, humiliated and nauseated by the sight of her body, scrambled to the table and grabbed the clothes the maid had brought, wrapping herself tightly.
After a while, the two maids followed her out. Seeing her distraught and wandering aimlessly, they quickly caught up.
“Miss, where are you going?”
Yan Shujing, teeth clenched and fists tight, kept walking, ignoring the maids.
The maids, realizing she was headed towards Yao Jin’s study, tried to stop her. “Miss, the young masters have ordered us not to let you see the magistrate.”
“Get away, all of you, get away!” Yan Shujing shouted frantically.
“Idiots, you’ve angered Miss Shujing,” Yao Cheng and Yao Jia scolded, having been waiting for her. They knew she wouldn’t bear the humiliation and would seek to complain to Yao Jin.
The maids hastily retreated. Once they were gone, Yao Cheng and Yao Jia’s demeanor changed drastically.
Yan Shujing glared at the brothers, her nails digging into her palms in rage. She wished she could pounce on and bite those men who had ruined her.
“Yao Cheng, Yao Jia, you’ve destroyed my purity. I won’t let you get away with this. I’m going to tell father.”
Yao Cheng sneered contemptuously. “Go ahead, Yan Shujing. You’re now nothing but a failed tool for seducing General Zhan. I want to see if father sides with a useless thing like you or his own sons.”
This comment hit Yan Shujing like a cold shower, sobering her up. She knew what kind of man Yao Jin was. Having failed to seduce General Zhan, she was indeed useless to him. How could Yao Jin punish his own sons for her, a disposable tool?
But how could she accept this humiliation silently?
“Yao Cheng, Yao Jia, you’ve ruined me. I’ll accuse you. I’ll seek justice. General Zhan is here in the county court. Even if Yao Jin wants to protect you, he wouldn’t dare do so in front of the general.”
