Chapter 16 – Raising the price

Liu Qianqian stared at the mirror in Yan Xiaosi’s hand and couldn’t move her eyes away.

She loved it.

“Yan Xiaosi, why did you call me over if you weren’t planning to give me the mirror?”

She was pettish towards Yan Xiaosi.

Yan Xiaosi looked at her pouting and stomping and almost vomited.

She wasn’t a real man and she definitely didn’t like Liu Qianqian.

“Miss Liu, it’s useless to whine in front of me. This mirror is special. If you want it, you’ll have to exchange it for twenty pounds of rice and fifty chicken eggs.”

A mirror like this was worth maybe five yuan in the 21st century. There were even more in the portable space. So Yan Xiaosi didn’t feel distressed in any way by trading it for some food.

Liu Qianqian stared at Yan Xiaosi in surprise.

She found that today’s Yan Xiaosi was somewhat different from usual. Yan Xiaosi usually acted like a mouse when he saw her. He would never dare ask her for anything.

“Twenty pounds of rice and fifty chicken eggs. Yan Xiaosi, do you think your mirror is made of gold? Why don’t you go rob someone?”

Liu Qianqian was right. Yan Xiaosi was robbing her.

This woman caused the death of the original Yan Xiaosi. She wanted to use this body to settle things with this woman for her predecessor.

“My mirror is unique in Xize County. If you don’t want it, then nevermind.”

She quickly put the mirror away and out of Yan Qianqian’s sight.

“I’ll show it to Yan Shujing. Maybe she’s willing to exchange for it with me.”

Yan Shujing is the daughter of Yan Bozhang, the eldest daughter of the Yan family. Although Yan Xiaosi’s cousin is not as beautiful as Liu Qianqian, she is still pretty. Yan Shujing hates Liu Qianqian the most. As long as Yan Xiaosi says that Liu Qianqian wants the mirror, Yan Shujing won’t hesitate in exchanging it with her.

Although Liu Qianqian has a better appearance than Yan Shujing, the Liu family isn’t as rich as the Yan family. So, Liu Qianqian has always hated seeing Yan Shujing showing off in front of her.

“Yan Xiaosi, wait.”

Yan Xiaosi expected her response and stopped. She turned around and looked at Liu Qianqian with a smile.

“Miss Liu, what else can I do for you? Please let me know. Otherwise, I still have to go find Yan Shujing.”

Liu Qianqian clenched her teeth angrily. “Yan Xiaosi, wait here. I’m going to measure out twenty pounds of rice and find fifty eggs.”

Yan Xiaosi raised a finger and shook it slightly in front of Liu Qianqian. “No, now the price has risen. It’s twenty-five pounds of rice and fifty-five chicken eggs.”

It was Liu Qianhe’s style to raise the price all of a sudden. All Yan Xiaosi did was copy Liu Qianhe’s style.

Liu Qianqian may be loved by Liu Qianhe, but she couldn’t casually take things from her home. Especially when it involves so much food. Hearing Yan Xiaosi raise the price, she was so angry that she rolled her eyes and said, “Yan Xiaosi, you’re a bastard.”

Yan Xiaosi shrugged and grinned. “Hey hey, I learned from your father. If you call me a bastard, then your father is also a bastard.”

“You…”

Liu Qianqian flushed and pointed angrily at Yan Xiaosi.

Yan Xiaosi’s legs were crossed as she leaned on the Liu family’s short wall. She picked at her nose as if she were a rascal.

“That’s the price Miss Liu. If you want to trade, then hurry up. Don’t waste my time. It’s precious.”

Liu Qianqian was so disgusted by him that her stomach rolled. Yet, she was unwilling to let Yan Shujing have the mirror. She stormed inside to find the food.
