Please Spare Me A Tail [Apocalypse]

Bai Xiaohu has just regained consciousness, and the first thing she notices is the indescribable horrible smell in the air. 

The smell of blood, sweat, feces, and many other smells that she can’t tell intertwined, making it difficult for her to breathe. She quietly opened her eyes amidst these smells. 

What came into her vision was somewhere dusty, like a big and dilapidated house with light shining from random broken holes in the wall. Some very sloppy-looking male humans are walking around with a black stick (aka gun) in their hands, or a knife with blood stains. 

They look ferocious and furious, like beasts who got driven into a corner, full of tyranny and madness.

Bai Xiaohu felt that there was something off, because both her hands and feet got tied up, and she is currently laying on the rough cold ground. Around her, there are about a dozen others in the same situation as her. 

She is not sure how and why she ended up like this and is super confused. She tries her best to look at herself and notices that she is still wearing the magic cassock she had on before transmigrating, which looks like a white long dress. It now has some blood stained and its protective function has been significantly reduced due to wear and tear.  

She tries to activate her spiritual power secretly, but as soon as she starts forming the formation, she uses up all her spiritual power and her body hurts so badly, she can’t use it at all. 

In addition, because she can’t use her spiritual power right now, she also can’t open her interspatial treasure. 

Bai Xiaohu frowned, she was sure that this was her own body, but how did she get caught?

She immediately starts analyzing the humans in this lower-class world. 

Before she finds a target, the door gets kicked open and another big guy shows up. He is probably the boss of other guys because everyone seems to respect him. After this big guy walked through the door, he went straight to the humans that were all tied up and grabbed a young boy out of the crowd. 

The boy soon started screaming and struggling, but unfortunately, his hands and legs were all tied up, so he had no strength and got carried by the big guy like a little chick in his hand.  

Speaking of chick, where is my MengMeng? Bai Xiaohu couldn’t help from being distracted a little.

Then she heard a crisp sound, the big guy slapped the boy on the face, and asked angrily, “Where are those supplies? If you don’t tell me, I’ll kill you!”

The young man yelled: “There is no way I’m telling you! My brother is Lu Ye, Lu Ye from the Jiangcheng base, if you dare to touch me, he’s going to make you pay!”

The big guy sneered: “You are Lu Ye’s younger brother huh? Then, I’m Lu Ye’s dad! Never heard of Lu Ye having any siblings!”

The boy stayed strong and continued: “He really is my brother, I got lost when I was little, and they just found me before the apocalypse started! We got separated again after the apocalypse, and I’m currently on my way to meet him!”

The big guy stared at him for a while, then said coldly: “You better not be lying!”

He then pushed the boy out towards the ground heavily, ending up right in front of Bai Xiaohu, and shaking up dust all over the place.

Bai Xiaohu has no clue what they are talking about, but while the boy who falls in front of her is still in shock, she senses a familiar aura from the boy; which was the aura from the cat demon she is trying to find! Yet, it is so fainted, it is like close to nothing. 

She immediately closed her eyes and concentrated on analyzing it more closely. Seems about right, that is it!

Bai Xiaohu’s eyes lit up and looked at the boy who was still suffering from a concussion from the fall with astonishment and surprise. Is he the one she is trying to find?

She studies this human boy detailly as he coughs badly on the ground, shoulders trembling, and seems to be crying. She couldn’t see his face, but the little kitten in her memory looked similarly weak and always trembled and cried helplessly in a corner due to other demons’ bullying. 

Her gaze gradually moved downward and refocused on the boy’s hip.

If she touches it, will she be able to tell? 

She secretly struggled a bit, and found that her body is so weak, she can’t break free from the ropes bounding her hands. Her spiritual power is still disabled, so while the guys that kidnapped her are discussing something and not looking, she crunches her legs quietly and uses her great flexibility as a nine-tailed fox to move her hands from the back to the front by looping them through her legs. 

After being struck by the judgmental lightning, her body became extremely fragile. So while she did that, the back of her hands seemed to get badly scratched on the ground and felt painful. 

Despite all that, she then lay on her side and wiggled toward the boy in front of her, and reached out her hands guiltily. 

Gently, quietly, secretly, touches his hip. 

Hmm, this butt is quite squishy. 

Bai Xiaohu didn’t notice that the boy’s body stiffened suddenly. 

She continues to move her hands between his butts toward the tailbone. Strange, why can’t I feel anything? Do I need to use spiritual power to check on it? 

All of a sudden, her heart trembled and she sensed a stare. She immediately looked up towards the ceiling with a bunch of holes. Is something up there staring at her?

Being distracted, she didn’t notice that the butt in her hand moved and the boy turned around screaming while trying to wiggle away from her: “You perv!” 

Everyone else also looked over, including other humans who were tied up and big guys.

Bai Xiaohu blinked in confusion, although she couldn’t understand what they were saying,but he was scolding her, right?  

After turning around, the boy was surprised to see that Bai Xiaohu is a girl, and…… 

Although her long hair is quite messy, it is obvious that she is a very beautiful girl. The boy is so shocked that she even looks much younger than him. His face blackens and can’t believe it at all. 

Bai Xiaohu looked back at him innocently. 

The gangster guys gathered around, and the boss who slapped the boy asked fiercely: “What’s going on?”

The boy tried to move his mouth but was not sure how to explain it, so he just mumbled: “Nothing.”

He thought the one touching his butt is a nasty old perv, so he couldn’t stand it and scream. Who would’ve known that it was a female perv? Although gender can’t be the excuse for the fact she’s a perv, looking at that face as beautiful as art, that eyes so pure and innocent, he, he can’t bring himself to scold her. 

He even tiled his body a little, trying to hide the girl’s face behind his back. 

Yet it was too late. Those big guys have already seen Bai Xiaohu’s face. 

Although the lighting is dim, they can see that Bai Xiaohu’s skin is extremely white, and her eyebrows and eyelashes are long and saturated, making her appearance look gentle with delicate features. Her long black hair is smooth, soft, and beautifully scattered but untangled. She is also wearing a white dress with the bottom spread out on the ground like a fully bloomed white flower. 

This appearance really can’t be classified as the same species as the dusty and nasty-looking people behind her. 

Both the boss and his errand boys were stunned by her beauty, especially the boss dude: “Who caught this girl?”

Everyone looked at each other confused. Have they ever caught such beauty? Why don’t they remember it at all? And even if they didn’t catch her themselves, why didn’t they notice such beauty earlier? If they saw her, who would ever leave her unattended like this? 

Everything just seems so strange. 

But this group of desperadoes didn’t care to bother at all, and the boss just went straight ahead to grab Bai Xiaohu. Bai Xiaohu quickly put her hands on the ground, sat up, and scrunched back!

What is this human trying to do? Don’t think that she didn’t see him using his hand to pick his teeth and scratching his armpit because it is dark and he was far away earlier!

The boss got dogged by her, but he wasn’t annoyed. Instead, he tried to touch her face persistently. 

Bai Xiaohu stared at his nasty hand with  disgusting smells in horror. No time to think twice, she immediately activates her spiritual power and slaps at him. 

On the roof, the person who has been watching everything quietly narrows his eyes a little, lightning flashes on his hand, and is ready to make a move. 

Yet, a little chubby shadow jumped out of the corner and scratched the face of the boss guy who had a wretched face. 

“Ah!” The boss backed off, covered his face with his hand and blood bled through his fingers. Meanwhile, the chubby shadow fell into Bai Xiaohu’s arm naturally. 

As soon as the chubby shadow jumped out, Bai Xiaohu recognized it, and now hugs it in surprise: “MengMeng!”

MengMeng is an all-black chick demon with a small amount of devil energy lingering around it. It accidentally got lost and crashed into Baishou Mountain when getting hunted down. 

At that time, Bai Xiaohu had been trapped within Baishou Mountain for several hundred years without any accompany so she was happy to see the chick. Plus the nature of foxes also likes chicken ( although it is to eat chicken), Bai Xiaohu didn’t care about the fact it was a devil clan demon and took care of it nicely for more than a hundred years. They built a deep relationship with each other. 

She knew that after she left the Baishou Mountain, this devil clan chick demon will never be able to stay alive in the mountain because it will get torn to pieces by various monster demons living in the mountain. Therefore, she brings it along on the trip. 

She was worried about it getting lost just a moment ago, now she finally felt relieved after seeing the chick. 

With her hand still being tied, she is hugging the little black chick in an awkward position, but the chick still rubbed her face gently with affection: “Peep, peep, peep.”

It told her that it had just woken up at the black corner over there, and was scared to notice her missing, but luckily it was able to find her quickly. 

Bai Xiaohu touches its head and is surprised to find its devil energy that has fainted over the years being on Baishou Mountain has been agitated after coming to this world. 

What is going on?

Before she could figure it out, the group of gangsters all got angry after seeing their boss getting injured, and the one who did it acted like it was nothing. The boss dude pointed at the chick demon and yelled: “Kill whatever that thing is over there!”,  paused a little, “But don’t hurt that girl.”

Bai Xiaohu’s expression changed. She can’t understand their words, but that doesn’t mean she can tell what they are trying to do. She hugged MengMeng tightly, not allowing it to jump out again because she is not sure how strong these humans are and there are so many of them. She doesn’t want MengMeng to get hurt. 

Seeing all these people coming for her, she wants to activate her spiritual power to break through the rope, but as soon as she activates it, she feels pain in her chest and almost vomits a mouthful of blood. She holds it back with all her strength and quickly reaches for the fluffy hair tie on her head. 

This hair tie can be regarded as her natal magic weapon. Most of the other ones she owns got destroyed during “heaven’s test”, and there is not much left in her interspatial treasure. Although it is not as strong as the ones her family gifted her, it has one advantage, which is being spiritually connected with her mind and some of its features can be used without any spiritual power. 

Just when she was about to use her hair tie, she heard a bang, and click noise, and the space suddenly got brighter, roof pieces splashing all over the place. It was a lightning bolt that struck through the broken rooftop and split into several routes knocking down all the gangster guys.  

The gangster guys let out a scream and were engulfed by the lightning and convulsed. After the lightning disappeared, they fell one by one stiffly, blackened, and with smoke coming out of them.

There was dead silence.

Bai Xiaohu: “……”

Little Demon Chicken: “……”

Both opened their eyes widely in shock. They can’t believe what they have just witnessed. 

There, there is judgemental lightning in this world?

Bai Xiaohu: Ouch! My whole body seems to hurt, especially my tailbone!

Little Demon Chicken: As a devil clan member, judgmental lightning is soooooo scary!

Then there was another noise from above, and a person jumped down from above.

That was a full two to three feet high, and this person jumped down so easily as if it was just some stairs. He landed without making a noise, and his slightly bent figure slowly stood up straight and turned his face around. The man in black stands in the light shining through the big hole above his head, and everyone could see his appearance clearly.

He has a slender figure, broad shoulders, thick eyebrows, deep eyes, and a stern demeanor, he is extremely handsome and dangerous looking.

The boy whose butt got touched by Bai Xiaohu yelled in surprise: “Older Brother!”

The man glanced at him indifferently, as if he was looking at a stranger, and then turned his gaze towards Bai Xiaohu.

Bai Xiaohu’s face turned pale, and she subconsciously dodged back, bumping into the wall, and MengMeng slipped into her arms with a “chirp”.

They can both feel the threatening and thunderous aura from this man.

OMG, how can there be such a terrifying existence in this world that can create judgemental lightning by will? What about the lower-class human world that is about to collapse soon? Is it too late to go back now QAQ
