Obsessed with Regressors

CHAPTER 30.3

Maria smiled at Ted’s question. She’s been asked that question here and there recently. This may be because there was a rumor going around in social circles that Oliver Biscon was attacked by a jealous knight and was seriously injured. Among them, there were rumors that his handsome face was ruined by a large scar on his face.

“Sure. He is fine.”

Maria said that, smiled, and followed Eugenie toward the music room. Ted whistled unconsciously at that sight. And when Elliot looked at her, she quickly excused herself.

“Isn’t she a great person? Her son got hurt like that and she didn’t even bat an eyebrow.”

Is that really the case? Elliot’s lip twitched. She said that when he and Eugenie rescued Oliver and returned to her mansion, Maria looked like she was about to faint. This is because he was trembling with a pale face. But instead of fainting, she moved her son to her bedroom and had him examined by a doctor. When she found out that her son’s condition was not as bad as she thought, she began to persuade the family.

She then discussed her responsibility for the incident with the Knights of the White Lion and House Psylocke. Countess Maria Biscon was not one to raise an eyebrow when her son was injured. She was very shocked and she was struggling. But she simply thought of her son’s condition before her own shock.

“People have many faces.”

Elliot continued as she spoke, putting her hands in her pockets.

“It wouldn’t be a good habit to judge by only looking at one side.”

And she just walked towards the music room. What is that guy? Ted’s face distorted as he was suddenly criticized. He says he knows what.

He had been told by Oliver how great his mother was. I also heard that the actual head of the Biscon family is Countess Maria Biscon.

She won’t even bat an eyebrow no matter what happens. This time she is none other than Lady Biscon’s suitor.

When Count Burns appears, Countess Biscon is trying to break off her daughter’s engagement and marry her to Count Burns. There were people who thought that way, although the actual situation was completely different. Ted was one of those people.

“Pretending to be polite. On the topic of murderers.”

Ted grumbled only after Elliot walked away and slowly headed towards the music room. Before I knew it, the butler was telling the guests to gather in the music room as the performance was about to begin.

“Forgive me for being late.”

Claire entered the Biscon Mansion about an hour later than the invited time. She quickly handed an apple to the butler who was out to greet her late guest. Because she had been told in advance that she would be late today, her Bigs expression did not change. He said, thinking that it actually came sooner than expected.

“I just finished the first song. Fortunately, you will be able to listen to the second song without missing it.”

Thank god. Claire thanked her and entered the music room very quietly. The small music room was filled with invited guests. Countess Biscon’s friends were sitting in the chairs at the front, while Eugenie and Oliver’s friends were all standing. Because the music room would be cramped if chairs were placed, only seats were provided for seniors.

She found Elliot standing behind her and bowed silently without changing her expression. She then turned her gaze to the people of Biscon Street. Eugenie looked very nervous. Claire smiled and waved her hand, knowing she didn’t like this position very much.

Surprisingly, the noble Lady Biscon did not like being the center of attention. As far as she was concerned, she was uncomfortable with the public eye. How could such a person endure pain and walk unharmed in front of so many people?

Claire once again admired Eugenie and turned her gaze to the Countess of Biscon.

“The Countess’s playing skills are amazing, aren’t they?”

She heard a woman with an unfamiliar face whispering in front of her. She must have been invited by Lady Biscon, seeing as it was Miss Geriz next to her. Unlike Lauren, who was wearing her uniform because she had been to the Knights Templar, the girl I saw for the first time was wearing a slightly flashy dress. She must have dressed up well for the concert. I heard Miss Liz explaining in a low voice next to me.

“I guess so.”

Lauren didn’t know either.

When Claire realized that fact, she smiled involuntarily. Well, there’s no way girls that age would know that. Because she also heard it from Eugenie. Or rather, she was told by the noble Lady Biscon.

Countess Maria Biscon said she was well versed in playing musical instruments. She was told that from the piano she could play the flute and violin and even the harp. It is said that before she married Count Biscon she was wealthy enough that she did not attend the Academy.

You may not understand it now, but she said that when the Countess of Biscone was young, few high-ranking nobles or wealthy nobles would send their children to the Academy. In other words, she, the Countess of Biscon, was so wealthy that she did not go to the Academy.

“Oh.”

The next moment, the delicate sound of a violin rang out. Oliver’s violin performance was placed on top of Eugenie’s slightly breathtaking piano performance and Countess Biscon’s flute performance that was so good that anyone who heard it would be amazed.

“Oh my god.”

People’s admiration flowed. Claire was also impressed without realizing it. She was startled when she saw Oliver’s face. This was the first time she had seen Oliver’s face since she had rescued him from Lord Psylocke’s house. At that time, her face was a mess, with blue bruises and blood from a broken nose. But now that the bruises had subsided, Oliver was playing the violin with his usual handsome face.

“Are you okay?”

She heard people whispering. Claire also knows the rumor. Rumor has it that Oliver Biscon was seriously injured when his woman was taken from her by a knight who was blinded by her jealousy. Of course, that rumor is nonsense from beginning to end. As far as Claire knows, the woman who is said to be Lord Psylocke’s wife has never gone for a walk, let alone dated him. Because she was Lord Psylocke’s unrequited love in the first place.

“Don’t you think you’re more handsome than before?”

At someone’s whisper, Claire looked at Oliver wondering if that was it. Contrary to the judgment that his words and actions were pathetic or that he was untrustworthy, Oliver was handsome. Even in her dreams, there were a lot of rumors about why Oliver Biscon didn’t marry that handsome man.

“Why don’t you say something more than before? I feel like you’ve become more manly.”

“Oh, right. I think I’m rougher than before.”

I know what you mean. Claire heard people whispering and covered her mouth with her hand to suppress her laughter. It’s because of the nose that was hit by Lord Psylocke.

Oliver, who used to look like a flawlessly handsome prince, changed slightly after being punched in the nose by Lord Psylocke. Her nose was slightly twisted, giving off that rough feeling that people were talking about.

“I feel a little strange.”

When the performance ended, Claire clapped her hands and muttered. It made her feel strange to think that the face she remembered was now gone forever. It was a face that she really hated, that I would bruise if I had the chance, but that face disappeared. Ironically, what stopped Claire from wanting to bruise her face was because Oliver’s face was so handsome. If he had known this would happen, he would have hit me a few more times.

While Claire was thinking that, the third performance started again. This time, Eugenie’s  piano solo continued a little longer. He missed a few beats and once hit the wrong key, but even that was fine with Claire. In a dream, the noble Lady Biscone said that she liked to listen to music, but not to play it. When she glanced towards Count Burns, she saw that he was fixating his eyes on Eugenie. His aura, which had always seemed difficult to approach, had softened slightly.

“Isn’t Jeon better in the eyes of women?”

After the third performance, when the Biscons left the music room to put down their instruments, a man asked: Next, after a short break, the hired band is said to play.

“What?”

Claire asked, gesturing to a servant carrying a tray of drinks. I don’t care who it is. Probably one of Baron Biscon’s friends. If this man had been a dream too, he would be dead. Most unranked men of this age died. Half of those who died while fighting to slay a dragon, and half of those who died fighting in battle.

“Count Burns and Oliver.”

It seems that Baron Biscon’s friend was right. Claire glanced at the man as he called Baron Biscon by his first name. Then the man quickly introduced himself.

“It’s Moody. Archie Moody. Viscount Moody is my uncle.”

He was, after all, a man with little chance of receiving a title. Claire asked, reaching for the tray held by the approaching servant.

“Is it alcohol?”

It’s right. When the servant answered, Claire quickly removed his hand. It’s not that he can’t drink, but he didn’t want to get drunk at Eugenie’s concert, which he was first invited to.

She said, extending her hand towards Moody.

“This is Claire Lannon.”

Where have you heard this name? Archie held Claire’s hand and tilted his head. Then Sir Ryan, who was far away, came up to the two and asked:

“Do you two know each other?”

“No.”

“We just met.”

As much as he was Oliver’s friend, Archie also knew Ted. Ted thought “hmm” for a moment after hearing Archie’s words. There are only a few women at this concert old enough for Archie to approach. Most of her came with her mother and only Claire was standing alone so they must have spoken to her.

She opened her mouth, thinking she should help her friend.

“What were you talking about?”

“Oh, you mean Oliver. Isn’t it better before?”

Huh? Ted’s eyes turned to where Oliver had been playing earlier. But the Biscon people had already left the music room. I will clean up my clothes and come back. Ted said, turning her head back to Archie.

“I don’t know which is better? Did he get a haircut?”

He doesn’t care if the man got a haircut. Even if he shaves off his beard, he doesn’t really notice. That’s why it sounded like Archie was saying that Oliver had gotten a haircut.

Archie clicked his tongue and spoke at his friend’s insensitive words.

“The nose. It’s crooked. Wasn’t it better before?”
