My Will Did Not Mean This

CHAPTER 002

‘Where in the world is this crazy development? Besides, you’re not even human now!’

When Aslan was in the form of a beast, he lost all reason as a human being. Literally he was a beast without a leash. The only thing that could control Aslan in this state was the original heroine with whom he was imprinted.

‘And I’m just a passing extra A!’

The moment she opened that iron window, she would die. She would definitely die. However, when she pretended not to know and ran away, Aslan was in danger of crossing the Jordan River.  His condition was terrible even at first glance. The wounds were wide open, as if they had been hit by spears and arrows. There was a pool of dark red blood at his feet. Even though she knew that the black lion’s true identity was Aslan, it was difficult to ignore the sight of a mute animal being abused so severely. Vivian, who was shaking her head in confusion, decided to first try to have a conversation like an intelligent person.

“Fu, if I release you, you won’t eat me, right?”

“Crrr!

“Say yes quickly!”

“Crrr…!”

Vivian was devastated. Although she didn’t expect the beast to have human-level intelligence and emotions. Even though she was his fiancée, Aslan looked at her like he was looking at a top-quality dry-aged tenderloin steak.

‘Damn, what’s going on? I’m your fiancee!’

The two-horned tenderloin steak cried out loud. Of course, that didn’t change the current situation. She didn’t know how Aslan ended up in this cage, but the more he struggled, the more terrible his wounds became. The amount of blood that covered his floor clearly showed that he did not have long time left.

‘I’m really going to die if this continues. Is there some way?’

Vivian first approached the iron bars. Then the black lion, who was baring her fangs in her sharp growl, raised her gaze towards her. Bright yellow eyes examined her every move. Even though there was a huge iron bar in between, a terrifying pressure was pressing down on his shoulders.

‘Of course I can’t just pass by. I’m too weak for animals.’

Now, if she turned away and passed by, Aslan would die. This was a deep mountain with few people. The only person who could save him was herself.

“Don’t worry. I will take responsibility for saving you.”

Even though she knew that the male lead in his animal state had no reason, Vivian had no choice but to speak out.

“So, please save me too. Understand?”

She grabbed her ax from nearby and started hacking away at her thick locks. As Vivian showed signs of trying to break through her bars, her black lion raised her body and stared at her in surprise. She bared her teeth as if she was going to bite him to death, but a perplexing light appeared in a corner of her bright yellow eyes.

“Coff, coff!”

Vivian, who had been concentrating on breaking the locks, suddenly stiffened her shoulders. She was sobbing, hot blood came up her airway. It was a lung disease attack.

“Ugh, crunchy!”

Her breathing was so tight that she couldn’t come to her senses. She knew she couldn’t die from this, as she suffered from a chronic lung disease immediately after possessing that body, but it still hurt enough to kill her. Vivian gritted her teeth and struck down her ax one last time. The lock, which was shaking precariously, broke into two with a sharp cracking sound. The tension eased with a sense of accomplishment that I had finally done it. Vivian collapsed from exhaustion and the cage opened at the same time. The eerie roar of the black lion’s throat resonated nearby. It seemed like he had no intention of saving himself.

‘Am I going to die now? I wish they would at least leave the body intact.’

She couldn’t come to her senses because of the difficulty in breathing. It was already too late to run away.

“Crrr!”

A huge shadow loomed over the fallen Vivian. This was her last sight before she passed out.

* * *

“Ugh…”

Vivian came to her senses and blinked her eyes blankly. The place where she was lying was a very dark cave with not a single ray of light. Why did she suddenly wake up in a place like this? She tried to reason rationally about how she came to be in her current situation.

‘Is this gloomy atmosphere really the afterlife?’

It was not clear whether the cause of her death was a lung disease attack or whether she had become the male lead’s daily bread in a fainting state. However, Aslan was wounded and starving for a long time at that time, so it was clear that he was very hungry. A feast of colorful mosaics passed through Vivian’s mind. Everything was bright red.

‘Hmm, I’m glad I don’t remember anything.’

Now what happened to her? Just as Vivian sighed softly and got up, trudging footsteps were heard outside the cave. A bright yellow eye light flashed brightly in the darkness. A huge black lion was glaring at Vivian.

“Krrrrr…”

Vivian, sensing that her premonition was not very good, slowly backed away with her hip steps. But Aslan was quicker to pounce on her.

Thud-

Huge paws pressed heavily on her chest. Vivian was already on the floor. Aslan climbed on top of her as if hunting her, glaring fiercely at her. Vivian thought as she stared into Aslan’s gold.

‘Is there really a reason?’

Vivian has not met Aslan since she possessed that body in the novel. Because at that point she had already been diagnosed with lung disease. But even though she had never actually met him, Vivian felt the confusion in his eyes. Right now, he seemed more embarrassed than anyone else. It’s like he didn’t understand why he acted like this.

‘Oh, I guess not.’

Vivian, who had doubts, soon calmly shook her head. If Aslan had any reason left, he wouldn’t have been able to screw people’s heads like this.

‘It really hurts!’

She was pushed down by his heavy front paws and fell straight into the back of her head on the stone floor. The sound of a watermelon breaking was so clear and bright. But look at Aslan’s shameless face. Even the most disgusting opponent would probably flinch if he made that much noise in his head, but he’s rolling his eyes like that just because he did a good job.

“What’s going on with your conscience?”

“Krrrrr.”

“…Is it work?”

She, who was grumbling, quickly added a polite word to Aslan’s cold throat. In the novel, Vivian did not know that Aslan was cursed by Astaroth. It was a top secret of top secrets, known only to a small portion of the royal family. Therefore, in his animal state, it was natural for him to speak slowly. But, looking at those scary eyes, she couldn’t speak comfortably as if she was talking to an ordinary animal. Something came into the field of vision of Vivian, who was hesitant.

“Oh my god, it hurts!”

Aslan’s left side was seriously torn. That wasn’t all. She suffered terrible wounds not just in one or two places, but all over her body. It was true that she was scared of Aslan’s claws and worried that he would kill her, but when she saw those terrible wounds, she couldn’t just ignore them.

“Move your feet away.”

“…”

“Get out of the way. Because I won’t run away!”

Did his sincerity get through, or was he pushed aside by Vivian’s force? Anyway, Aslan hesitated and took a step back. She quickly stood up and looked more closely at Aslan’s side. Blood was seeping endlessly from the wound. It looked like he needed immediate treatment, but there was no way she could get medicine and bandages in an unknown cave like this. Moreover, because of the thieves, the carriage overturned and even the luggage it had was lost.

“What should I do…”

For a moment, pity took precedence over fear. Aslan’s childhood, when he was cruelly abused by his father, the Emperor, flashed through his mind, not only because of the unjust curse he had seen in the original work. He was locked in a cold bedroom, tying up his own wounds without anyone’s help, and chewing and swallowing the mounting pain with his mind…

“The situation is like this, but he doesn’t show it even once. How painful it must have been.”

As expected, the most serious condition was the wound on his left side. If it had been a little deeper, the wound would have been severe enough to cut off the internal organs. If his body had been that of a normal lion, he would have been killed in one blow.

“I need to stop the bleeding first.”

“Krrrrr!”

Aslan, who was breathing heavily as if enduring her touch, eventually bared his teeth fiercely. But Vivian paid no heed and untied the straps of his dress. She took off the few layers of skirt that could be used as bandages, leaving only a white, thin petticoat.

Squeak, squeak-

The dress, extravagantly decorated with gold lace and jewels, tore like sheets of paper in her grasp. Although the clothes cost more than a townhouse, Vivian’s expression was indifferent.

After completing the bandage, she grabbed the resisting black lion and tied it around the wound. Aslan, who was caught in Vivian’s arms, could not bear it and struggled again.

“Kwaaaaang!”

“Even if you don’t want to, I will save you. You have to live! I don’t even know who made you like this, but wouldn’t it be unfair for you to die like this?!”

Aslan, who was twisting his body like crazy, suddenly stopped. He blinked and stared at Vivian silently. Meanwhile, after hastily bandaging him and stopping his bleeding, he stepped behind her and let out a deep sigh.

“Now that’s enough.”

“…”

“It must have hurt, but you endured it well.”

Vivian smiled brightly, her tired expression evident. Perhaps because she was nervous all day, she felt slightly dizzy. Aslan, who had been watching her, was about to push his head towards her. Vivian, who had been staggering, suddenly fell to her floor.

“Coff, coff!”

Her seizures, which she thought had quieted down, started again. The reason was that she had taken off everything except her thin petticoat in a cave where the cold wind was blowing.

“Oooh! Coff, coff!”

Her chest tightened painfully as if it was on fire. Her blood flowed back down her throat, constricting her breathing. Her vision flickered darkly as she panted violently, unable to breathe. It was a dark battle.
