“If this dress is anything to go by, the production cost alone must have been equivalent to a villa owned by the Count’s family. And they made seven of these dresses, took promotional photos with the latest technology, and distributed materials to many media outlets, meaning the promotional costs were significant too.”

The newspaper in front of Patrick was filled with articles about Canotia Jewelry on the front page. There were about five or six newspapers in total.

‘With that much coverage, all the notable media must have reported on it.’

As Patrick said, creating such news requires a substantial amount of money. A large portion of the budget is understandably spent on promotion.

“To make a profit, the current sales volume won’t be enough. Do you think Canotia can achieve that level of revenue?”

The head of strategy nodded seriously with a grave expression in response to a question from Brian, the chief designer.

“At this rate, they will more than recover the promotional costs. They announced that they would actively sell products to the new nobility starting this season.”

“That’s right. Although we anticipated a temporary decline, I didn’t expect they would be this prepared….”

“This time, the security was too tight. It seems they carried it out like a top-secret operation.”

Patrick closed his eyes and sighed as if he had a headache.

Sharon Jewelry doesn’t only sell high-end products but also caters to the new nobility, so it is far from the image of the most luxurious brand.

Although it ranks first in sales, its value as a luxury brand doesn’t match that of the high-end jewelers Aner, ranked fifth in the industry, or Canotia, ranked fourth.

Because of Canotia’s new policy, there was a high possibility that Sharon Jewelry’s existing customers who wanted the best luxury goods would defect.

‘If you have the money, it’s only natural to want the best. But if this continues, my debut will be overshadowed too….’

Letticia, who was listening to the meeting, also became serious.

Although Sharon Jewelry gained initial buzz due to Letticia’s debut, it seemed they would lose it before March ended.

And not to Aner, the top high-end jeweler, but to Canotia, which doesn’t even rank first in value or sales as a luxury brand.

“Canotia has only been a substitute for Aner, but considering the buzz around these dresses, they might close the gap this season. The key to luxury is the image of sophistication.”

“Moreover, Aner’s selective customer approach has driven the new nobility seeking the best luxury to Canotia. Although launched this morning, the products caused a sensation as they bought them in droves.”

“Despite that, the old nobility customers are still managed separately as VIPs, so there are no complaints. It’s a highly successful strategy.”

Listening to the words of Lenard, Irene, and the head of strategy, Patrick turned his gaze to the head of external relations.

“Have you gathered information about those VIP customers?”

“We couldn’t get the list itself, but based on the number of Canotia Jewelry pieces they wore last season and whether they own new Canotia pieces, we estimate there are about 15 of them.”

“And one of them wore a new Canotia piece this season before it was even displayed in the store.”

Letticia was inwardly impressed by the thoroughness of the head of external relations and Camilla’s answers. However, it wasn’t unusual for jewelers.

‘They might be our future customers, after all.’

Jewelry is the epitome of luxury goods, purchased only by the wealthy. Naturally, the number of customers is limited, and securing the list of affluent customers is something all jewelers strive for.

“Priority reservations for Canotia were a VIP privilege. Is there a possibility they leaked information about the diamond dress to them first?”

“It’s very likely. The old nobility wouldn’t want precious luxury items taken by the new nobility who only have money. Canotia probably used that psychology to inform the old nobility VIPs about the diamond dress they meticulously crafted this season.”

“They’re smart, absorbing the new nobility’s money while not losing their main customer base, the old nobility. Unlike Aner, which still only serves the old nobility.”

Patrick looked around the room with his fingers interlocked. Despite his youthful appearance, his face was filled with concern.

“If we’re not careful, Canotia could take the top sales spot this season. That would damage our reputation as the industry leader for the past ten years. Losing to Canotia, not even Aner, would severely harm our image. Moreover, we have just debuted our promotional model this season….”

At those words, the finance director frowned slightly.

Letticia felt a bit guilty, so she kept silent.

Unlike other debutantes who receive support for both dresses and jewelry from their families, Letticia pays for her dresses herself, while Sharon Jewelry supports her jewelry.

This means that all the jewelry Letticia wears is paid for by Sharon Jewelry.

It’s no wonder the finance director had a headache.

“Although the advertisement effect of Letticia as a promotional model resulted in a 180% increase in sales compared to last year’s spring season, the current decline in sales is risky considering the costs incurred.”

“Speaking of that advertising effect, there’s an issue that needs to be addressed.”

“Go ahead, Kenneth.”

Kenneth, having received Patrick’s permission, spoke with a serious expression.

“Thanks to Letticia’s prominence in high society, as expected, a large number of young female customers have been attracted. However, it seems that this has also caused some negative effects within the target group.”

“Negative effects? Specifically, what do you mean?”

“Letticia, as a promotional model, holds a unique position in the marriage market. Because of this, many see her not just as a model or an object of admiration, but as a competitor. These people are attempting to tarnish her image.”

Letticia nodded in agreement. She had already been worried about this when she was chosen for the diamond selection, and the tension she faced at Viscountess Paulette’s outing confirmed it.

“A few days ago, at Viscountess Paulette’s outing, all the gentlemen, including Sir Paulette, openly courted me. This made many debutantes quite upset, and they strongly resented me.”

“Was there any common factor among these resentful debutantes?”

“They were all not from the new nobility. That’s the only commonality.”

Upon hearing Kenneth’s response, Patrick sighed.

“So there’s a possibility that the competition for the Crown Princess candidate is also involved. While it’s unlikely to drive away the new nobility, the neutral and old nobility factions might be concerned.”

“Wouldn’t it be better if Letticia quickly got married? To remove the image of her as a competitor, getting married quickly, or at least getting engaged, or even starting a relationship would be the best options.”

Letticia almost glared at the head of strategy. As if it were that easy.

“I’m doing my best to find a partner, but I haven’t met anyone I want to date yet. I can’t just be with anyone. That would degrade not only my value but also Sharon Jewelry’s image.”

“Then how about actively utilizing your position as a Crown Princess candidate? A love story with His Highness would be even more explosive than the former Empress’s love story.”

“Do we really have to go that far?”

Letticia barely refrained from swearing.

After barely managing to calm her friends and the royal family to prevent them from pushing her to become the Crown Princess, now her own allies were backstabbing her. Life is indeed difficult.

“His Highness, the Crown Prince, is the highest-ranking person in this country except for His Majesty the Emperor. In terms of ability, character, and looks, he’s perfect, and despite being such a handsome man, he has a clean record with women. He’s an ideal dream for many. Even without considering the possibility, he’s the best partner in terms of conditions.”

“Mr. Head of Strategy, I understand the benefits of being considered a Crown Princess candidate. But I have absolutely no intention of becoming the Crown Princess. I want to make that clear.”

As Letticia firmly stated her stance, the head of strategy looked disappointed as if he had missed a great opportunity.

“That’s unfortunate. Many women covet the position of Crown Princess. As expected, Letticia, you truly belong to the Sharon Count’s family.”

‘I’m really tired of hearing that I’m like a member of the Sharon Count’s family.’

Her mother and the head of strategy both seemed obsessed with saying Letticia was like someone from the Sharon Count’s family.

“If that’s what Letticia, our promotional model, thinks, then there’s nothing we can do about it. We’ll have to abandon the ‘Operation: Crown Princess’ plan.”

“I could never approve of such a bizarre plan in the first place.”

Patrick sighed and answered, unsure whether the head of strategy was joking or not. Letticia, having achieved her goal, felt relieved.

Thank you very much your work here. I love this story so much. 😌

I’m not going to complain about getting mass uploads, that’d be disingenuous. However, I believe this is the largest number of chapters posted at one time. In consideration of the irregular updates and the want of putting less pressure on yourself, as the tl, do you release all of the chapters at once or do you hold some in reserve to post during gaps? I’m not a member so I don’t know how many (if any) chapters are posted after this, but maybe you tl by donation only? I’m not sure, even tho I’ve looked at your info and donated before.

In summary, I would have been happy with getting half of these chapters now and half in a couple weeks, instead of inevitably waiting another month for another batch of chapters. 🥲 Do what you want, of course, but I prefer a drip feed instead of binging, so I’m a bit sad every time.

Helloooo, I’m glad you liked this story!💕

By the way if you’re asking if I saved or hold some chapters to upload during the break, then the answer is no, because I worked on all the chapters that I uploaded at the same time as the day I worked on all the chapters, so if I uploaded 10 chapters that day then I worked on those 10 chapters on the same day that all 10 chapters were uploaded.

The uploaded chapters can be irregular too because I have to finish another novel for translation. Then do I only upload after receiving donations? the answer is no, because even if I don’t receive donations I will still upload the existing chapters every month. Which makes the work quite time-consuming too because sometimes I have to gather the mood so that the translation doesn’t stop halfway.

I’m not sure if I can divide the chapter uploading schedule like that, because there are also other novels that I want to work on, I will think about your suggestions in the future, once again thank you for your suggestions and for liking this story!❣️
