March Blossoms Club originally gathered in Letticia’s room. However, due to Letticia’s current situation, they ended up meeting in Dayna’s room, which was more spacious than others due to her noble status.

However, perhaps because Letticia was in crisis, the usual liveliness could not be found in the gathered members.

“Have you heard what other people are saying? They claim that Letticia harassed and made Lady Averil cry, trying to expel her from the academy. Some are even saying things like, ‘As expected from someone who just takes pride of their money,’ something like that.”

“Everyone seems to think the rumors are true, especially after young lord of Averil came and caused a scene. If Letticia really did nothing, why would young lord act so aggressively?”

“There’s nothing we can do about the spreading rumors. Since Lady Averil cried at that moment, the rumors were inevitable. The only relief is that a hearing has been arranged to reveal the truth.”

As the members were upset and lamented, Dayna, who took on the role of temporary leader, spoke seriously. Soon after, Dolores also reaffirmed the seriousness of the situation.

“Marianne, Letticia’s cousin, mentioned that the rumors have spread not only in the Liberal Arts Department but also in the Public Administration and Knights Departments. It seems this is not just an issue within the Liberal Arts Department.”

“Public Administration? Why there?”

“I’m not sure, but if everything is not clarified during the hearing, it will be the end for Letticia.”

Dolores words left everyone in shock.

Although they was a bit surprised at times when she spoke harshly, everyone here really liked Letticia.

Thanks to Letticia, who organized study sessions and stood up against the snubs and taunts from the old nobility, they could confidently hold their heads high.

Seeing Letticia, who had done so much for the group, become the target of malicious rumors and face attacks from the aristocracy, both practically and emotionally shook the members.

“Well, Letticia’s family is a count’s family. Besides, they’re related to a major noble family in the western region, and the Empress herself values the Sharon family. Wouldn’t they do something about this?”

One student tried to bring a hopeful perspective, but Dayna shook her head.

“That’s too optimistic. Didn’t you see the other party is the Duke of Averil. Just looking at the titles, they’re the duke and she is from count’s family. There’s no way things will happen that easily.”

“More importantly, unless we definitively prove Letticia’s innocence, she might carry this label for the rest of her life. The aristocracy and neutrals at the academy were already eager to find something to hold against Letticia.”

The most composed Dolores provided a rational analysis. This angered Ivonne, who spoke up.

“Why does Letticiia have to go through this unfair situation? She’s a good person who helped us when we were struggling!”

As Ivonne expressed frustration, other members started to voice their agreement. They, too, were angered by the situation.

“Exactly! And if Lady Averil hadn’t wanted to join our group, none of this would have happened.”

“Why did she even want to join our group in the first place? Is she trying to take over the group Letticia established?”

“I don’t think so. She didn’t seem like that kind of person, and she even said it wasn’t her.”

“If it was an act, who knows. If she had a good personality, would she have said she wanted to join our group? I’m not saying that it’s about she’s going to take away Letticia’s place!”

Ariette’s reputation among the new nobles was quite good, but it fell to the ground due to this incident.

The fundamental reason Letticia is in this predicament right now is because Ariette had expressed interest in joining the group.

“Everyone, criticizing Lady Averil right now won’t improve the situation. Instead, we should focus on preparing for the hearing.”

Dayna clapped her hands to gather attention, but the members remained skeptical.

“Even if you say preparation, what can we do?”

“We are working on clarifying the rumors now, but…”

Though everyone had the will and desire to protect Letticia, they didn’t know the approach. Despite using mature language, they were all just 13 years old.

So, Dayna followed the advice she received from Marianne.

“Currently, young lord of Sharon and others are investigating how the rumors about Letticia and Lady Averil spread. But surely, it started with the students in the Liberal Arts Department. If the Liberal Arts students hadn’t made noise in the first place, the rumors wouldn’t have spread.”

“That makes sense. Rumors must have an origin.”

“Then, how about helping to find the person who spread the rumors? We might be able to do that.”

“Oh, now that you mention it, I remember something!”

At that moment, one student raised their hand. It was Ivonne, who occasionally hung out with Dayna and Dolores.

“Yesterday during lunch at the north cafeteria, those two were chasing after Lady Averil, and they were gossiping about Letticia. It was so loud that even the people at the next table could hear it.”

“You were sitting at the next table? Weren’t you noticed by those two?”

“They were too busy cursing each other that they didn’t pay any attention to us. I guess they didn’t care who was sitting around.”

“In my opinion, they seemed to want others to overhear. They were determined to somehow tarnish Letticia’s reputation. It was so obvious.”

Ivonne responded with a highly hostile tone, suggesting she might have been present during the incident.

“So, were those two responsible for spreading the rumors?”

“Definitely. Moreover, a male student even joined the conversation midway and started cursing along with them. It seemed like they had their own little audience.”

“A male student? If he’s from a different department, do you happen to know his name?”

Dayna hastily asked, and Ivonne answered.

“I don’t know. When they greeted each other, the person passing by spoke loudly, so I couldn’t hear the name.”

“Then, his age? Or at least which department he might be from.”

“His age, around the fourth or fifth grade, maybe? But I couldn’t tell the department because he wasn’t wearing a tie or anything.”

Just when the lead seemed to break here, Dolores pulled out a notebook and handed it over.

“Just in case, I tried to jot down everything those people were saying at that time. Here, it’s in this notebook.”

Dayna quickly skimmed through the notes after receiving them.

Frowning at the content filled with disturbing remarks, Dayna finished reading and closed the notebook.

“Dolores, is this really a direct transcription of what was said?”

“Yes. My home tutor always made me transcribe exactly what she said. Not a single word was altered.”

“If you see Dolores taking notes in class, you’ll have no choice but to believe it. There’s no such thing as a stenographer.”

Dolores confidently nodded, and Ivonne supported her.

Dayna, with a face caught between a smile and seriousness, carefully stored the notebook, unsure whether to laugh or be serious.

“Then I’ll relay this to Senior Marianne. Oh, before that, it might be a good idea for someone to transcribe it in advance. Is there anyone here who can write quickly?”

“Oh, I’m confident. My home tutor always made me copy books, so I’m used to it.”

A student who had been sitting quietly raised their hand to volunteer. It was ironic how the horror stories about the tutors of the rising nobility turned out to be quite helpful now.

“Then, please transcribe the conversation written in this notebook twice. Also, we need to attend the hearing as witnesses for Letticia’s side. Who should go?”

“Dayna and Dolores should be fine. You can talk about what happened in your respective classrooms and in the cafeteria.”

“Right. It will be more credible if the witnesses are the ones who actually saw what happened.”

While deciding who would go as a witness and swiftly progressing with everything, Ivonne, who had been lost in thought, suddenly shouted.

“Oh, come to think of it, I remember now. The guy with her, a sort of attendant, was wearing a blue tie.”

“Blue? Which department’s color is blue?”

“It’s the Department of Public Administration! Could those people have gone to the Department of Public Administration and spread the rumors?”

“No, nothing else to do? Why would a student from the Department of Public Administration spread false rumors about a student from the Department of Liberal Arts?”

Dayna spoke to the students, who were staring at each other in confusion.

“We can’t know that now. But we should still let Senior Marianne know about this.”

“Besides this, continue monitoring for rumors. We have to fight back against those spreading rumors to stand confidently.”

“Right. When Letticia returns, there will surely be people trying to pick fights with her.”

As they felt they were doing something useful, the expressions of the members brightened.

As the atmosphere gradually shifted towards optimism, Dayna also smiled with relief.

‘This should be helpful. I’m really lucky.’

While the rumors wouldn’t disappear immediately, just delivering this information could aid in resolving Letticia’s issues. That alone was enough.

With this mindset, Dayna and the members enthusiastically continued to do what they could. Carrying the hope of being able to help Letticia, who had supported them.

The way the March Blossoms members defended Letticia also made me want to cry. I hope your friendship lasts forever! 🥰

    1. Anonim says:

Personally, I was touched by seeing smart side characters. 🥲

      1. louyve says:

Yes! I’m glad Letticia is good at making friends too, besides being smart they’re also so kind and quite careful in their actions I think. 🧐🧐

      2. Cathe says:

Hahahaha true 😂 it’s good to see that, for once, more than 2 characters are actually intelligent, smart and skilled! And shocking: they’re not the mc nor one of the love interests! They’re actually minor side characters! 😅😂
So satisfying to read stories like that right? 😆💖

    2. Cathe says:

Yeees! It’s all so sweet and wholesome! Yes, there might be some political motivations, but that’s just to an extent… they’re fast becoming good friends (and socialites). From helping out each other on studies, to now organising themselves in such a way to defend/save their friend/leader/benefactor. 🥹💞 Good actions come around!

      1. louyve says:

That’s okay for me if they have a specific purpose or goal when befriending Letticia, at least they know how to repay Letticia’s kindness by providing help like this when Letticia is in trouble. 🧐🧐🧐

  2. Aria says:

Arie is starting to become a no-man-zone of crazy obsessed maniacs and landmines. While the March blossoms are starting to not like her, I don’t think it will take long for them to realise going anywhere near her is a plain hazard to health and sanity.
So, that idiot brother has started the process of making her isolated, lonely and surrounded by hyenas.
After this, the crazy prince will probably isolate her even more while terrorising innocent, hardworking civil servants. Eventually, I think even he is only going to be surrounded by hyenas who only say what he wants to hear
With a king like that and a decorative queen whose hyenas would probably villainise anyone they don’t like…. It would be a surprise if that country survived…

    1. louyve says:

Maybe Letticia and the March Blossoms or whoever should plan a rebellion to save the Empire, jk. 🥲🥲
