Missing Wife

Team Leader Park chewed the flesh in his mouth.

He was so nervous that his inner feelings just poured out.

He has heard a lot about Executive Director Yoon Ki-joo.

He changed Taekyung Distribution, which no one had expected, as he pleased, and created the company with the largest market share in the industry.

And that was in just two years.

It was clear that he was now thinking of taking care of Taekyung Electronics as well.

“This, this, this. No, everything.”

The owner quickly sketched the report with a red pen.

“Please do it again.”

Team Leader Park sighed deeply inwardly.

Thinking that he might as well take this opportunity to ride the line, he bowed towards the young executive director.

“I will do my best to exceed your expectations!”

“It’s the best.”

He narrowed his eyes loosely.

“You just have to do your job well. You can’t even do that.”

“Well, I will still try my best according to the Managing Director’s wishes.”

“I’m going to go out now.”

Ki-ju gestured without taking his eyes off the documents.

As of today, I have been promoted to the position of Executive Director at Taekyung Electronics.

Ki-ju had been drawing up a thorough plan to take over this company for a very long time.

After the success of Taekyung Distribution, the next step was Taekyung Electronics.

He planned everything from start to finish, everything that seemed like a coincidence.

And according to that plan, he was rising to the top of Taekyung Group.

There was a knock on the door.

“Come in.”

Secretary Kim came in with a cautious face.

“What is it?”

“President Jeong kept on asking to meet you. He says he is your father-in-law…….”

He was afraid that people wouldn’t recognize his if he just called himself as President Jeong, so he added himself as Ki joo’s ‘father-in-law.’

“Should I decline appropriately?”

Secretary Kim trailed off.

Rumors about Executive Director Yoon Ki-joo were circulating in the stock market.

Rumors of divorce and remarriage.

There was talk that he would get a divorce and immediately remarry another woman.

I thought that he would be uncomfortable meeting with President Jeong, but Ki-ju said something unexpected.

“I have to meet him. He is my father-in-law after all.”

“Then let’s adjust the time……’

“No. I’m comfortable today.”

But that’s it.

There was no consideration for others.

Even if it’s a craftsman, he should be thorough in tailoring it to himself.

Because it’s their turn to feel sorry.

“Then I’ll make an appointment for this evening.”

Ki joo nodded dryly.

It was a Korean restaurant where the sound of a geomungo was being played resonated.

Ki-ju walked down the hallway and stopped in the room at the end.

I saw my father-in-law through the open crack of the door.

“Mr. Yoon!”

The voice calling out to me was loud.

“I’m late.”

“It’s okay. I enjoy the time I spend waiting for you. It’s really pleasant.”

Ki-ju was an hour late for the appointment.

Although it was a sudden matter, there was no apology.

“Haha, that can happen when you’re busy.”

The glasses clinked.

The criminal gulped down his drink while keeping an eye on Ki-ju.

I had been feeling that unpleasant gaze from the moment I entered.

“How are things with Ahyeon these days?”

Ki-ju just laughed lightly.

The criminal rubbed his hands together nervously, then picked up his glass again.

My son-in-law was always a formidable opponent.

He doesn’t talk more than necessary.

He just waits for the anxious opponent to reveal his weakness first.

“I know Ahyeon has many shortcomings. I guess it’s because she is not cute and girly at all. That doesn’t mean she doesn’t have any sensual appeal, though.”

Ki joo put down his glass with a loud clank.

“So what do you want to say?”

“Do you have a favorite female style?

Like… Innocent style? Or sexy style?

If you give me a little hint, I’ll tell Ahyeon to try to match it.”

Ki-ju furrowed his brows and let out a drunken sigh.

Is this the reason he met me… to ask questions like these?

How can a man be so unable to hide his feelings?

“It seems like both my wife and father-in-law are in a hurry.”

“In hurry?”

The face of the criminal who had been pretending to be nice crumpled slightly.

“You can be honest with me. How may I help you?”

People like him were the type he hated the most.

The type who hides their true feelings and speaks in circles.

Jeong Ah-hyun is similar.

It’s something that gently offends people’s feelings.

“It’s true that investment is necessary. Well, it’s not necessarily because of that.”

“I’m telling you to get along well with Ahyeon! She likes you a lot.”

Ki joo spilled some alcohol as if he found it ridiculous.

Jeong Ah-yeon likes me.

“Really, is that so?”

“Of course. That’s why I asked you to marry her!”

Ki-ju drank his alcohol without saying a word.

This marriage was a strategic move, and they could not become more than that for each other.

“Would I have been wasting my time in this stupid place while I was busy with my work? You know that I was waiting for you.”

“It’s a poisonous wait though.”

He picked up a well-made porcelain wine glass and examined it.

For a moment, I had the crazy thought that the smooth surface resembled the nape of my wife’s neck that I had bitten last night.

“I understand. As a man myself. Don’t successful men like us usually leave their wives behind and seek fun elsewhere?”

“Is that so?”

“Ahyeon is perfect as a wife. She has a neat personality and is the type to raise a child without complaining even if you bring one from outside. Oh, and even if you asked her to live with a concubine, she would accept it.”

The criminal laughed wickedly.

All he could wish for was for his son-in-law not to get a divorce.

“Isn’t that same with your father too?”

The criminal who had been trying to persuade Ki-ju without stopping quickly explained himself.

“Oh, what I want to say is……”

“It’s okay. You’re not wrong.”

Ki-ju smiled brightly and picked up the bottle of alcohol.

“So what I’m trying to say is, about that investment…….”

“First, let’s have some drink. We don’t have much time, do we?”

It was a message telling him to cut down on his talking.

“Oh, I see.”

The quick-witted felon grabbed the glass.

Although he was not the type of person to give in to anything, he just felt his spirits race from meeting my son-in-law for a moment.

It was late in the morning when the drinking party ended.

“Get in.”

Ki joo sent the felon away in his car.

The father-in-law, who seemed to have a lot to say, seemed to have hurt his pride, so at some point he started drinking alcohol continuously.

And got drunk.

It was a good thing.

He said it better when he was drunk than when he was sober.

“Let’s go.”

Ki joo got into the car.

As he was looking down at the financial report, Secretary Kim spoke to me.

“I heard you haven’t been able to sleep well during your business trip. Are you okay?”

Ki joo suffered from insomnia.

He was a little tired from drinking, so Secretary Kim hoped he could get some sleep until he got home.

“I slept well last night.”

Secretary Kim’s eyes widened.

“….Is that so? Somehow you look in good condition today.”

“Yeah, I slept well last night.”

Ki joo muttered quietly.

Suddenly, I remembered Ahyeon lying under me last night.

Even those silk slips that she wore were too delicate to be called underwear.

Ki joo laughed as if he couldn’t believe it.

“So cold…”

My wife said she wanted to hug me even though she looked like she was going to die.

So I hugged her and she cried.

Crying isn’t bad, it’s just me who’s more upset.

His wife’s crying and wet face strangely touched Ki-joo’s instincts.

Ki-ju furrowed his brows in discomfort as his lower back began to harden again.

“Sir, this is CEO Park Sung-jun.”

For a moment, Ki-ju’s fingertips stopped.

“It has recently emerged among investors.”

“……”

“It looks like they are going to start a business again.”

“……”

“Should I take measures to ensure that no news about CEO Park Sung-jun reaches your wife?”

Ki-ju silently looked down at his tablet PC.

“Let’s proceed like that.”

Secretary Kim, who noticed it positively, spoke in a polite voice.

“Director, we have arrived.”

The driver got out of the car and entered the annex.

Ding dong. Ding dong. Ding dong, ding dong, ding dong.
