Love Grows Mad After Parting

2-3 minutes

The corridors of the hospital were dimly lit. Outside the senior ward, a few nurses occasionally gathered together to gossip.

Who would have thought that a riot was going on in the ward a few minutes ago.

“Pa”

A slap suddenly landed on Huo Yunchen’s face.

Su Yao exhausted all her strength and shouted hysterically, “Get out of here!”

Huo Yunchen turned his face sideways, and his frosty face made people feel cold. After a while, he licked the slightly cracked corner of his mouth.

This noble man who was usually gentlemanly finally tore his disguise. Shadows fell into his finely carved cheeks, making him look eerie and terrifying.

He grabbed a chair and smashed everything in the room.

Su Yao stubbornly stood in the corner feeling awkward. All that could be seen was a mess— tables, clothes, and broken glass were scattered all over the place.

Huo Yunchen stepped on the flowers with his high-end leather shoes. At that moment, Su Yao felt as if her soul was pierced by the petals, terribly painful.

After a whole day of torture, Su Yao finally couldn’t bear the blow and fell to the icy cold floor.

The next day.

The warm sunlight shone on Su Yao’s face. She looked like a beautiful angel descending into the mortal world.

When Su Yao woke up, she was still alone in the ward.

She propped her arms to get out of the bed. Her back looked thin and she had a blank face.

The aqua blue hospital gown she was wearing looked so loose on her body. The nurse passing by occasionally stopped, looking at her pitifully.

“Did you hear that a mistress came to provoke the pregnant legal partner and was stabbed by the legal wife? As a result, the man stayed the night with the mistress.”

“I also heard that they were sisters. Fighting all because of a man, the life of rich people is too complicated.”

As if she didn’t hear it, Su Yao just continued to walk forward.

As soon as her hand touched the door handle of Su Ruoxue’s ward, the door was pulled open from inside.

The two of them stared at each other and the air was full of tension.

“What are you doing here?” Huo Yunchen pursed his lips, no emotion could be seen in his black eyes.

Su Yao’s body froze and the scene from last night flooded her mind. She lowered her head and said with a hoarse voice, “I came to see Su Ruoxue.”

Huo Yunchen wanted to strangle Su Yao. She still had the face to see Ruoxue? Does she think what she did to Ruoxue wasn’t bad enough?

Now she’s even pretending to be a good person.

“She doesn’t want to see you.” Huo Yunchen refused.

“Is my sister here? Yunchen, it’s okay. Let her in.” Su Ruoxue’s weak voice came from the room followed by a few coughs as if she was terminally ill.

“Bullshit!” Huo Yunchen’s cold voice was suddenly filled with sullen anger. He looked back at Su Ruoxue’s pitiful face and frowned slightly. With a sullen face, he said, “Do you want to be stabbed again?”

Su Yao felt her heart ache to the point of suffocation.

Not long ago, she and Huo Yunchen were an understanding couple. She knew that Huo Yunchen was cold-hearted and wasn’t good at words but thought that one day, she would be able to touch his heart.

She never thought that it was all fake. He used himself as a bait, betting that she would be willing to give birth to a child for Huo Yunchen.

But what should I do? It seemed I’d really lost.

For the first time, Su Yao found that Huo Yunchen also cared for someone. However, he was too mean and was only willing to give it to Su Ruoxue.

“Don’t worry, I won’t hurt her.” Su Yao laughed in self-deprecatingly. Even though she knew that Huo Yunchen didn’t believe it, she still foolishly wanted to explain.

Huo Yunchen glared at Su Yao, warning her. Just then, the phone he was holding buzzed.

He had a very important meeting to attend. The secretary was nervous and urged him several times.

Suo Ruoxue waved her hand weakly to Huo Yunchen to tell him to go. Only Su Yao, who was like an invisible person, didn’t receive a single glance from Huo Yunchen.

“Sister, don’t look too much. No matter how you look at him, he’s also my man.”

Su Ruoxue’s apathetic tone never failed to hit Su Yao’s heart accurately.

Su Yao turned away her head. She looked calm, but she was actually trying her best to make herself less embarrassed.

She asked bluntly, “How is your injury?”

“Thanks for taking the knife, sister. I didn’t die.” Su Ruoxue suddenly sat up from the bed. Her acting weak disappeared and her smile became more and more brilliant.

“Why do you always like to hurt your body to frame me?” Su Yao couldn’t understand her. Do people really exist in this world who don’t even disregard their own lives in order to harm others?

It was the same three years ago and this time. Is she not tired of doing this kind of scheme?

Su Ruoxue heard this, got off from the bed, and walked barefoot to Su Yao’s side. Her eyes looked very vicious, she had pale lips, and her voice was as low as the hiss of a snake. “It’s nothing but it’s very useful. Maybe next time you cannot kill me but I will kill you instead.”

What a lunatic. Su Yao stepped back abruptly and accidentally knocked down the vase on the table which then cracked into pieces.

The shards fell onto Su Yao’s ankles, leaving faint blood.

Su Yao was smart. She looked around and found no fruit knife. She squatted down, picked up the shards, pointed it at Su Ruoxue, and walked towards Su Ruoxue step by step.

Before the shard reached Su Ruoxue’s bandaged belly, Su Ruoxue pushed away her arm, unbothered.

Su Ruoxue squinted her eyes and glanced at Su Yao. “Su Yao, you are not stupid enough to do that here. As long as I scream, the bodyguards left by Yunchen-gege will rush in.”

Su Yao ignored Su Ruoxue’s mockery and pointed the shard at her abdomen.

She looked calm and said coldly, “Do you know the difference between a knife stabbed from your own angle and a knife stabbed from someone else’s angle?”

“What?” Su Ruoxue was taken aback and subconsciously covered her wound.

“A fruit knife is a single-edged weapon. If you hold the handle backwards and stab yourself, the blade will point upwards but if someone grabs the handle and stabs you, the blade will point downwards.”

Su Yao demonstrated it with the shard. She looked at Suo Ruoxue with no expression and continued to speak, “Ask the doctor who bandaged you or untie your bandage to check and you’ll know I’m innocent.”

Su Ruoxue panicked but tried to calm down herself. She said viciously, “Do you think this is all about evidence? The truth doesn’t matter. People’s hearts are biased. No matter what you say, Yunchen won’t believe it. He will only think that you bribed the doctor to frame me.”

“You’re right.” Su Yao nodded and threw the shard into the rubbish bin as if she had lost interest. “So you bribed the doctor to make a fake appraisal report three years ago?”

Su Ruoxue’s words made her conscious of everything. No wonder the medicine she gave Su Ruoxue was poisonous according to the inspection report. It turned out that Su Ruoxue was behind all this.

She used to think that Su Ruoxue was her real sister. She only suspected the medicine rejection and never thought about this.

Su Yao turned around and walked out, her voice dissipated along with the wind. “I don’t care who Yunchen believes. I just know that if these things were brought to him altogether, will he still love you and not resent you?”

With a bang, the door closed.

Su Ruoxue’s eyes widened in anger. In a fit of rage, she flipped over a table. Her chest heaved up and down and gritted her teeth. She thought, “Trying to find out the truth of that year? What a foolish dream!”
