Looking for a Husband to Confine Me

‘I once thought Luke liked me!’

An awkward laugh leaked out at suddenly remembering some of my Black History.

There were times when I wondered if Luke’s mental age was about the same as immature children deliberately trying to bully their loved ones. My doubts did not last long.

‘If you really liked me, you can’t act like that!’

Even if it bothers you, you have to do it in moderation, but Luke’s past record was really…

My teeth were shaking. I put him on the nomination list, but to the extent that I never want to choose it as much as possible.

‘I’d rather Hector… No, no. I hate both Hector and Luke!’

If you were reincarnated as a normal female lead, wouldn’t it be nice to see male protagonists approaching you? Why is there only garbage like this around me?

The more I thought about it, the more I sighed, so I quickly erased the thoughts from my mind.

“Ah, you should…”

Luke Randy glanced at me with a smile as if he knew.

“Did you come to the banquet to see what happens with Kisha’s princes?”

“No.”

“Don’t lie. You haven’t taken your eyes off the princes as soon as they appeared. I’m right.”

“Then I’m taking the right one.”

“Are you joking with me now?”

It’s not a joke, it’s the truth, so please just let me go.

It wasn’t even a lie. Bashar Kisha was one of my nominees for a long time, but today I had no intention of getting involved with him. I just want to change the future in which he is poisoned.

As long as he’s alive, I can do anything later.

However, the fact that I was aiming for Bashar in the end did not change, so Luke was right. When I spoke frankly, he got angry.

“It bothers me, it bothers me a lot!”

She heard Luke’s talking nonsense next to her in one ear and let it go out the other.

Today, the powerless youngest prince, Bashar Kisha, far from heir to the throne, is poisoned. The culprit who killed Bashar in the novel was never caught. However, the incident broke the relationship between the two countries that had been friendly and sparked another war.

The war brings Hector and Vivian together. As soon as the war started, he broke up with me because he didn’t know what would happen.

‘Of course, Amelia in the original refused and said she would wait!’

She never thought that Vivian would be by his side as Hector returned from the war.

So I was planning to stop the poisoning incident somehow, but the two met before the war broke out.

I couldn’t figure out where things went wrong.

“Damn.”

“What?”

When I spit that out in annoyance, Luke immediately responded. It didn’t bother me at all as he paid attention to each and every word I said, even if it was just me talking to myself.

I said without turning my head towards him.

“I was talking to myself.”

“Don’t think you can get involved with a prince for no reason. What are you thinking about?”

“Haha.”

His words made me laugh involuntarily. This damn bastard?

“Hey.”

Luke was calling me.

“Tell me, because I’m listening.”

“You don’t even have the decency to look at someone when they’re speaking.”

“I’m sorry, I don’t want to see you.”

So I’d appreciate it if you left on your own.

I didn’t turn my head, even in Luke’s ferocious gaze. Rather, he stared at where Bashar was.

“Amelia!”

Luke grabbed my wrist and called out my name. I frowned at the slight force. Reluctantly looking back, he smiled contentedly.

“… Ha.”

“What, do you have something to say?”

I want to put my fists in his grinning face. But I can’t. At least there were too many eyes here.

“Luke.”

“Why?”

“I’m sorry. Can you go away?”

“Who cares if I stay here?”

“Then I’ll go. Don’t follow me.”

“Why would I follow you!”

Luke’s eyes gathered for a moment as he screamed in anger. Taking advantage of his embarrassment, I shook off his hand.

“I’m glad if you don’t follow me, and since everyone is watching, wouldn’t it be better not to run after me?”

Taking a step back, I spoke quickly towards Luke, who was about to follow me. Then his movement stoped. Seeing Luke paying attention to the gazes of other nobles, I laughed deeply.

“Then let’s not see each other next time, Luke.”

I waved my hand away from him.

~~~~
After shaking off Luke, the place I headed to was a deserted balcony in the banquet hall. When I arrived at the place I had promised in advance, something came up right away on my ankle.
[Amelia, you’re late!]
Chorong, who raised his face with his shoulder, hiss complainingly. I touched Chorong’s forehead with my index finger.
“I’m sorry, there’s someone who keeps interrupting me.”
[Luke?]
When he nodded his head, he nodded it as if he knew.
[I told you. Because he likes you.]
“Are you in debt to the person you like?”
Under pressure to the point that you might even be sold somewhere?
[Well, that’s… isn’t it?]
“Because it’s not. He just wants to see me confused and desperate.”
So I’m holding on to coming even more, but if all the deals with the candidates fail…
“I can’t even imagine.”
I muttered with a sigh.
“Anyway, what about what I asked you to find?”
[Yes! I found it with the kids.]
Before entering the banquet hall, a few snakes including Chorong were released in advance.
What these children should look out for is ‘Mosté Dicure’, a drink that Harun Kisha likes. Only a hundred bottles of wine were produced by Lefkind’s famous artisans every year.
Perhaps the drink prepared for the two of us today is Mosté Dicure.
[Exactly, they have ten bottles ready. They are all in the back room near the banquet hall.]
“Then will you let me know if anyone is taking that drink?”
[I knew that, so I told them beforehand.]
As expected, Chorong was smart. He smiled lightly and stroked my head as if to praise me.
The snakes released in the banquet hall were selected as children who could move secretly, so they would not be noticed by others. Besides, they weren’t poisonous, and they were friendly to humans.
If you get bitten, you will only faint for a moment!
If anyone was taking alcohol, it was most certain to stun them. In order to approach Bashar Kisha, you will definitely need that drink. There will be culprits among them.
“If the alcohol isn’t taken, it means that the culprit prepared the same drink.”
I was thinking of finding the culprit who was trying to poison Bashar Kisha…
“Do you want to drink?”
Oh my god!
Damian Detronil’s voice came from behind me. It was like he was whispering in my ear.
‘When did you get here?’
I didn’t feel any movement!
I panicked and hurriedly hid Chorong.
“Amelia?”
“Yes? Yes! I think I’m a little thirsty.”
I smiled and looked back at him.
When we bumped into each other a while ago, I didn’t feel it because I was hugged, but Damian Detronil was tall and had a bigger physique than I thought. I guess I didn’t notice it because I was a person who was captured.
“Do you want me to bring you a drink?”
“No? I’m fine.”
“Why?”
“Yes?”
“You don’t want to drink the alcohol I brought you?”
As I slowly lowered my eyelids, silver eyelashes fluttered. The exceptionally black eyes stared at me as if piercing through my thoughts.
“It’s not like that.”
“No?”
I felt strange pressure as I followed the words.
Why is he suddenly like this again…?!
“Ugh.”
“Ugh?”
“Oh, the doctor! I forgot he told me to refrain from drinking. Recently, I had something to drink.”
“Aha.”
Damian shook his head as if he knew what was going on. He was probably thinking of me breaking up with Hector.
“I came out to get some air for a while.”
What about you? I smiled in the sense of asking why he came up to me and suddenly talked to me about something. But Damian didn’t answer, he just stared at me.
“… There.”
“Damian.”
“…?”
“You said Damian. My name.”
“Damian… Sir?”
“It’s just a name.”
I nodded my head as if possessed by the languid yet deeply reaching voice. For some reason, I listened to him.
“But what about my name…”
“Amelia.”
Shh.
Damian’s index finger touched my lips. That’s why I couldn’t finish my sentence.
My eyes widened in surprise at the sudden action. His hand slowly passed over my lips and caressed my chin. A little further down from almost touching my neck…
“Were you wearing this necklace a while ago?”“
… Yes?
Necklace. I forgot something for a moment. In a hurry for Damien to come I think I grabbed Chorong.
‘Was this touch the one that I’ve been feeling since earlier?’
Chorong couldn’t hide and was still around my neck. Like a necklace.
“It’s a strange-looking pattern.”
Damian reached out and tried to touch the necklace, no, Chorong. If he touches Chorong, he will notice the oddity.
No!
I was shocked and hurriedly grabbed his wrist and pulled him, but maybe it was too strong? Damian staggered and leaned over to me.
“Ow!”
He slammed my face into his hard chest. My nose was pressed and it hurt a little.
“Um, sorry…”
I rubbed the bridge of my nose with my right hand and lifted my head. But I couldn’t speak to Damian’s face in front of me. With my free left hand, I held onto the railing of the balcony, supporting my body.
I was trapped between the railing and Damian, unable to breathe. I felt like our lips would touch if I did something wrong.
My eyes were wide open. Even him licking his lips made me pay great attention.
Damian also stopped moving because he didn’t know that I would suddenly raise my head. He was hit. Perhaps he was confused too.
    I love that she can talk to snakes! I’m excited for the next update. I hope it’s soon.
  3. Gundam Mistress says:
    Damian is going to be fun. I wonder how long he’s known who she is? Probably for quite some time already considering his ‘job’.
    I’m not a ‘snake’ fan so usually skip stories with them in it for the most part, but this is the 2nd story that I’m enjoying with them in it as for Amelia, they are a cool aspect for her to have access to and her inherited skills are interesting.
