Rest

Whether it was beautiful or not, Liang Ye didn’t know, but he knew that Wang Dian was definitely not normal.

Unfortunately, he was feeling very uncomfortable at the moment. His gaze swept over Wang Dian’s face. Although he didn’t like to beg others, things in bed didn’t count.

“Help Zhen,” Liang Ye softened his tone, grabbed his hand and kissed it, reluctantly saying, “Consider it Zhen begging you.”

The smile on Wang Dian’s face slightly faded. “Your Majesty, you really have no principles.”

Liang Ye took a low, deep breath, staring at his cold face, and placed his hand where it should be.

Wang Dian observed his reaction with great interest, whispering in his ear, “So beautiful. I should have pleasured myself in front of a mirror before, Your Majesty.”

This talk was truly vulgar. Liang Ye’s breathing tightened, and he narrowed his eyes. “Where did you learn all this nonsense?”

“But I see you quite enjoy it.” Wang Dian covered him properly with the blanket, kissed his cheek, and said righteously, “Your Majesty is severely injured. It’s truly inappropriate to fool around. Since you’re tired, you should sleep early.”

Liang Ye, who was in the midst of excitement, stared at him in shock. “Wang Dian, how can you go back on your word?”

“Did I say I would definitely help you if you begged me?” Wang Dian sighed. “You coaxed me to satisfy yourself, and after you’re comfortable and asleep, you wouldn’t care about my well-being.”

Liang Ye was speechless. “Zhen… wouldn’t go back on Zhen’s word.”

Although he indeed planned to do so.

“Stay with me,” Wang Dian looked at him expressionlessly. “I’m very uncomfortable.”

Liang Ye was even more uncomfortable. He wanted to take matters into his own hands, but Wang Dian firmly pinned his wrists to the bed, coldly saying, “Don’t move. Your wound will open.”

Liang Ye was so angry he couldn’t help but laugh, gritting his teeth, “Fine, you just wait and see.”

Wang Dian bit his neck, only letting go when he tasted blood, then went to find other places. Liang Ye struggled a bit, and immediately the wound on his chest hurt so much that his vision went black.

“I’ve wanted to do this for a very long time,” Wang Dian licked the blood from the corner of his mouth. “Especially, especially wanted to.”

Liang Ye narrowed his eyes in displeasure. Wang Dian smiled and said, “Are you thinking about how to get revenge? No need to think, I’ve already thought it out for you… I’ll teach you.”

The inner chamber of the palace was pitch black. Muffled groans and suppressed curses were drowned out by the sound of heavy rain. The rain didn’t stop all night.

The next day, the sky cleared, leaving only scattered leaves in the courtyard.

Wang Dian meticulously adjusted Liang Ye’s disheveled collar, barely covering the marks of varying depths. He sighed, “What if Li Bu and the others see this?”

Liang Ye, with a pale face and eyes slightly closed, heard this and said faintly, “You’re truly a beast.”

Wang Dian had tormented him all night without letting him sleep. The wound hurt even worse than when he was shot by an arrow. All the strength seemed to have been drained from his body. He desperately wanted to sleep now, but his mind was in an extremely excited state, making him irritable enough to kill someone.

“Let me change your bandages,” Wang Dian said, looking at the blood-soaked clothes. After a moment of silence, he added, “You can sleep after taking your morning medicine.”

Liang Ye laughed in extreme anger, “Zhen can’t sleep anymore.”

Wang Dian gently changed his bandages and patiently fed him the medicine. Looking at Liang Ye’s pale face, he said softly, “I’m sorry, I went too far last night.”

Annoyed by the bitter medicine, Liang Ye said with a displeased expression, “You’re only relying on the fact that Zhen favors you.”

Wang Dian stared at him with an ambiguous look. Liang Ye immediately became alert, “What are you thinking of doing now?”

“Nothing,” Wang Dian pressed his brow hard, as if speaking to Liang Ye yet also muttering to himself, “Barely managed to come back alive. If dying from this, who will I cry to?”

Liang Ye lazily grunted, “Since Zhen has let you vent your anger, you’re not allowed to torment Zhen anymore.”

Wang Dian looked up, “What did you say?”

“Zhen knows you’re angry that Zhen deceived you,” Liang Ye said assertively. “You’ve nearly killed Zhen with your actions, so you’re not allowed to throw any more tantrums.”

Wang Dian wiped away the medicine from the corner of his mouth, and after a long silence, said, “Liang Ye, is your life worth so little?”

Liang Ye closed his eyes and sneered, “Don’t push your luck.”

“Self-righteous and unreasonable,” Wang Dian tucked him in, felt his forehead which was slightly warm again, and frowned. “Get some sleep.”

Liang Ye didn’t answer him, obviously having fallen asleep, but still tightly holding his hand as if afraid someone would snatch it away.

Wang Dian let him hold on, lying down on the nearby couch. He stared at the tassels on the bed curtains for a long time, lost in thought. After Liang Ye was sound asleep, he slowly got up to find Li Bu.

Li Bu met his eyes and was slightly surprised, “Did Wang Daren not sleep well?”

“Mm,” Wang Dian responded vaguely, then said, “His Majesty has a slight fever again. I came to inform you.”

Li Bu immediately became anxious upon hearing this, “Let me take a look.”

“His Majesty just fell asleep,” Wang Dian raised his hand to stop him. “He didn’t sleep much last night. Let him rest first.”

Li Bu didn’t quite agree, but Wang Dian stared at him expressionlessly, his demeanor forceful and unquestionable, with even a hint of hidden ferocity that made Li Bu unconsciously take a step back.

“Wang Daren, would you like this old man to check your pulse again?” Li Bu asked with some concern.

“No need,” Wang Dian smiled slightly. “I’m feeling very good now.”
