The moment Wang Dian appeared, Liang Ye’s eyes visibly brightened. In the next second, he was knocked backward a couple of stumbling steps, instinctively wrapping his arms around Liang Ye’s waist.
“Wang Dian!” Liang Ye’s grip was so tight it felt like he might crush him, his voice still trembling slightly. “Wang Dian.”
Wang Dian’s hold was no gentler. He stroked Liang Ye’s back forcefully, pulling him into his embrace, greedily breathing in the scent that belonged only to Liang Ye. “I’m here, don’t be afraid.”
Liang Ye was probably afraid; his entire body was shaking badly. Or maybe it was Wang Dian himself who was trembling. He tenderly cradled Liang Ye’s face and kissed him without hesitation, immediately receiving an overly passionate response.
As Wang Dian’s shirt was about to be stripped off, the doctors and nurses throughout the room watched with increasingly shocked expressions. They couldn’t decide which was more stimulating – two identical people kissing passionately or the fact that they seemed about to ignite like dry tinder and make love right in front of them. Next to them, Mrs. Zhong Qianyan, still in shock, coughed forcefully. “Wang Dian!”
Wang Dian reluctantly bit Liang Ye’s lip corner hard one last time before unwillingly raising his head to scan their surroundings. He smiled politely and said, “I apologize, we have some family matters to discuss. Please give us some privacy for now.”
The foreign language that came from Wang Dian’s mouth made his voice sound slightly deep and raspy. Liang Ye licked the small wound on his lip corner, focusing intently on Wang Dian.
Wang Dian with short hair and an unfamiliar scent on his body and hair that wasn’t particularly pleasant. Yet because it was on Wang Dian, it was somehow tolerable.
The strangely styled clothes looked especially beautiful on him. The light, soft fabric clung to his skin, subtly revealing his contours. Just by placing his palm on it, he could clearly feel the warmth of Wang Dian’s body. The pants were also strange, looking difficult to take off, but they made Wang Dian’s legs appear long and straight, and nicely accentuated the shape of his buttocks…
Wang Dian smiled as he grabbed Liang Ye’s hand that was touching his belt. After the group of doctors and nurses left, he led him to stand before Zhong Qianyan, whose expression was peculiar.
“Did I give birth to twins?” Zhong Qianyan wore a questioning-life expression, then immediately denied it. “Impossible. I was fully conscious when I gave birth to you, and your father was right there with me.”
Just as Wang Dian was about to speak, Zhong Qianyan narrowed her eyes and moved closer to Liang Ye, reaching out to touch his cheek. Although Liang Ye instinctively wanted to dodge, he obediently allowed her to pinch his face several times.
“It doesn’t look like plastic surgery.” Zhong Qianyan cast a suspicious glance. “The birthmarks on the buttocks are identical, and the full-body examination shows the blood type and fingerprints are all a match—”
She went to pinch Wang Dian’s face. “Those eyes don’t look like an imposter’s either.”
“Mom, this is a long story. I can explain it to you slowly.” Wang Dian held her hand and sighed.
Zhong Qianyan looked again at the innocent-faced Liang Ye, determined which one was Wang Dian, and her gaze toward him instantly became difficult to describe. “Wang Xiao Dian, you know current cloning technology isn’t perfect yet. Doing this is seriously irresponsible, both to yourself and to him.”
Liang Ye listened with partial understanding and agreed, “He is indeed very irresponsible toward me.”
“It’s not cloning.” Wang Dian said with a headache. “How could I possibly clone myself?”
Zhong Qianyan looked at him with complete distrust. “I’m your mother. Believe me, there’s nothing in this world you wouldn’t dare to do. Do you think your father and I don’t know about those biotechnology companies you’ve invested in overseas?”
“It’s really not that.” Wang Dian sighed, holding Liang Ye’s hand. “Mom, his name is Liang Ye. He’s my lover.”
“What does he understand?” Zhong Qianyan pulled Liang Ye over to her. “He can’t even understand foreign languages. Everything seems strange to him. Earlier he even tried to hug me and jump from the eighth floor. Who knows what bizarre ideas you’ve been feeding him!”
“…” Wang Dian raised his hand, making a calming gesture. “Mom, please calm down a bit. I admit I’ve done many things before that were… difficult for you to accept, but I’ve already promised you and dad that I would be a normal person. Trust me, okay? Give him back to me first.”
Zhong Qianyan narrowed her eyes. “Give him back to you?”
Wang Dian’s expression subtly tensed as he realized he’d misspoken, and calmly covered it up. “First, I fully respect his individual will and personhood. I don’t exert any coercive behavior or possessive desire beyond what’s appropriate for a romantic relationship, nor would I do anything to harm him…”
Liang Ye observed the interaction pattern between Zhong Qianyan and Wang Dian with interest, listening to the strange and unfamiliar terms coming from Wang Dian’s mouth. Although he couldn’t understand, it was clear that Wang Dian’s mother was trying to “protect” him, and Wang Dian’s image in her heart was not the consistently gentle and reliable one he usually projected…
Interesting.
So he obligingly put on a confused expression, looked down slightly toward Zhong Qianyan, tilted his head, and flashed a brilliant smile. “Mom?”
Zhong Qianyan’s expression changed from stern to surprised to gentle in just two seconds.
Wang Dian’s gaze shifted from urgent to shocked in just half a second, and he stared warningly at Liang Ye. “Liang Ye, this is my mother.”
While Zhong Qianyan was turning her head, Liang Ye flashed a provocative smile at him.
Wang Dian’s gaze suddenly turned dangerous.
An hour later, after being forced to undergo a full-body examination, Wang Dian stared grimly at Liang Ye, who was being fed fruit by Zhong Qianyan, as he smiled and crumpled the examination form in his hand.
“Wang Dian, your father’s plane has landed.” Zhong Qianyan glanced at her phone, placed the glass bowl in Liang Ye’s hands, and even patted his head. “Be good and eat by yourself. I’m going out to make a phone call.”
Before leaving, she gave Wang Dian a warning look and said in a low voice, “Don’t try to influence him in any way, understand?”
Wang Dian smiled and nodded.
Then watched her go out the door.
Click.
The door locked.
Wang Dian tossed aside the examination form and stared at Liang Ye with a smile that didn’t reach his eyes. “Thanks to you, the trust I’ve worked so hard to rebuild with my parents has been successfully broken.”
Liang Ye ate the last piece of sweet fruit from the bowl and said cheerfully, “Then you can only love Zhen the most, and only trust Zhen.”
Wang Dian unbuttoned his shirt, grabbed Liang Ye’s hospital gown, and pressed him down on the bed.
Liang Ye’s lips were always softer and hotter than he imagined, vastly different from the cold mirror image and the numbness he felt when touching himself.
A living, breathing Liang Ye who responded to him, who truly existed.
Liang Ye grabbed the back of his neck, biting his ears and jaw like a starving beast with no restraint, yet with moments of hesitation and uncertainty.
Wang Dian panted and lowered his eyes to kiss the tip of his nose. “…What’s wrong?”
“Not a dream.” Liang Ye carefully and meticulously caressed his eyebrows, eyes, nose bridge, and lips. His eyes slightly reddened, with longing and reluctance in them almost engulfing Wang Dian entirely. He murmured to himself, confirming once more, “Not an illusion either.”
“It’s real.” Wang Dian placed Liang Ye’s hand on his face and gave him a slight smile. “Feel it. Isn’t it warm?”
Liang Ye gazed deeply into his eyes, then fiercely bit his jaw, reaching out to touch his chest. The buttons on the shirt were a bit small and difficult for him to undo. The more he struggled with them, the more his arms trembled uncontrollably.
Wang Dian admired his concerned expression for a moment, then took his hands and helped him undo the buttons on his shirt one by one, placing Liang Ye’s warm, dry palm over his intact chest.
“No wound, no scar.” Wang Dian gave him a gentle smile, bending down to kiss his reddened eyes. “Your favorite little red birthmark is still there.”
Liang Ye felt the strong, powerful heartbeat coming from his chest, and moved his hand from his chest to his back.
Wang Dian’s lips lingered on the tip of his nose. “After our long separation, don’t you want to kiss it?”
Liang Ye gasped and stared at that small red birthmark for a long while. The hand on Wang Dian’s back suddenly pressed down, and he gratefully greeted the little red birthmark on Wang Dian’s chest with his lips, teeth, and tongue.
“F*ck…” Wang Dian grabbed his hair. “Don’t bite!”
Liang Ye licked it gently to soothe him, then held Wang Dian tightly in his arms and said in a hoarse voice, “You’ve lost weight.”
“Have I?” Wang Dian pinched the back of his neck hard. “Probably from excessive exercise.”
“Excessive exercise?” Liang Ye raised his head, his hand already moving restlessly to undo Wang Dian’s belt, but he couldn’t figure it out and was itching to tear off his pants.
“Mm.” Wang Dian hooked his fingers and placed them back on the belt buckle, saying with a straight face. “Thinking about fucking you every day. I was going crazy with it. Do you want to know what I was thinking?”
He moved to Liang Ye’s ear, methodically explaining in detail while patiently teaching him how to undo the belt, like luring and guiding an innocent prey to willingly step into a set trap. “…My mom won’t be on the phone for long.”
He touched Liang Ye’s soft lips. “Liang Ye, just a simple greeting, okay?”
Liang Ye bit his finger hard and narrowed his eyes. “You’re a bit different.”
Wang Dian was amazed by his keen intuition but still smiled at him with a composed expression, moving closer to look into his eyes. “How am I different?”
Liang Ye leaned lazily against the wall, allowing Wang Dian’s finger to roam freely in his mouth. His canine tooth suddenly applied pressure, drawing blood, and he said something ambiguous, “You’ve become bad.”
Wang Dian laughed, his fingertip hooked around Liang Ye’s teeth, forcing him to sit up straight. He examined him carefully and sighed. “I was never a good person to begin with.”
Liang Ye snorted, using Wang Dian’s finger to grind his teeth, then looked up at him. “Someone’s coming.”
Wang Dian felt the fine pain and itching from his fingertip and moved closer to kiss the tip of Liang Ye’s nose. “Greeting paused. Don’t cause trouble. I’ll get rid of them.”
Liang Ye suddenly slid his hand into Wang Dian’s dress pants and flashed him a brilliant smile. “First tell Zhen, what exactly do you remember?”
Wang Dian’s gaze suddenly darkened.
