Killer Whale Baby

CHAPTER 028

“Are you here?”

Lately Pierre hasn’t been at the fountain the way he used to be. Ever since he first entered the building, he’d be in his room or parlor, and when he saw her, he’d say so. Sometimes she saw Pierre sitting in front of a window with a clear view of her, and wondered if he’s waiting for her to come? She thought about it. Perhaps it was an illusion.

“Yes… Hello Master.”

“Okay.”

She watched her father’s eyes intently.

‘Let’s see, is there something different today?’

He was still terribly handsome, and his beauty, as if he looked like an official of the Hong Kong Triads, was still the same, and his tired expression was the same. Visually, nothing was different.

“…”

…no, wais not it?

‘Why-why is he staring at me like this?’

It was different. Something was a little different. Unlike usual, he was staring at her. The cold sweat that she thought had stopped started flowing again. What if that dad found out she cheated? She didn’t think that she would stay undetected forever while lying to him. It was only that she figured the man she knew, Pierre, would take a long time before he knew what she had been cheating on.

‘At least I thought Daddy would last for another month since he’s not interested in worldly affairs?’

She didn’t expect to see him face to face today! Besides, when he stared at her like that, it seemed like he was looking at her saying, ‘I know your sins!’

It was very difficult for a person who has something to hold on to. She still need that father’s protection.

“What is that?”

When Dad finally opened his mouth, she reacted quickly. Rather, this was a breakthrough.

“What? This? The parchment I have?”

“Yes.”

Ah! Was he looking at the parchment in her hand? A color flashed across her face.

“I brought this for Master! How are you, wondering what it is? Aren’t you looking forward to it?”

“…Not at all.”

Done! As always, the blunt response made her feel her stuffy stomach loosen up. Yeah, she didn’t know why Pierre gave Lyla such an order.

‘He probably doesn’t want to have a specific conversation with me yet.’

She wondered what kind of whim he had given such an order, but for now, she thought it wasn’t time to take it out, so she quickly fixed the parchment and hugged it.

“Wait, Master! I’ll cook you an amazing dish today!”

What she asked Brother Lougaruba for. That was the recipe for cooking.

* * *

Pierre was not in a good mood. No, he was so low that he wondered if he had ever been this bad in the last three years. Mostly tired or bored or… If it wasn’t one of these two, it was a vivid color mood that was not like him who had lived only with feelings close to resignation.

And this feeling was only caused by his daughter whom he had abandoned as his disciple.

“You don’t need a second disciple?”

Just yesterday his daughter, Calypso, did the same absurd thing as when she first appeared in front of him. Didn’t she bring in a certain boy and she asked him to be her second apprentice? The problem was that the boy she brought was a child who looked similar to himself. He had already awakened to the power of water, and wondered if he had realized his anger first.

The third son.

Thinking back, it was a strange situation.

‘…Did you have any plans to hide it from me?’

At this point Pierre wondered what the hell his daughter was thinking with that little head. It was not something she could do sanely from asking to be accepted as his disciple even though he recognized her in the first place. Besides, wasn’t she even bragging about her virtual father in front of him? It wasn’t normal. Could killer whales go crazy? The answer was ‘yes’.

“Crazy. You’re my kid, but you’re really crazy.”

It was a word he himself had heard countless times from his mother. In fact, among killer whales, there were a number of people who went mad because their instincts were overdeveloped and they couldn’t overcome the madness or madness given as a side effect. After this, his mother clicked his tongue, saying that he went crazy because he was a weakling.

Pierre thought differently. Killer whales were just genetically engineered. It was an inescapable madness.

“Not required. Get lost.”

In any case, at this point even Pierre could feel himself being deceived. Pierre refused, feeling his wrath as well as his absurdity. And he even thought of ending this sloppy teacher-teacher relationship from now on. He obviously meant to.

Clearly.

“Master, do you know who he is? I beat him today! Master said ‘If you fight, don’t get beaten up, hit it unconditionally and come back!’”

He was going to…

“…Did you win?”

“Yeah, I won!”

The moment he saw Calypso’s smile and triumphant expression, his anger was lost. To be honest, this was the first time he felt like that. It was a relationship that started on a whim because he had an interest that he hadn’t had before. He always thought that the end was in his hands.

“But I beat him and he became my subordinate, but there is no place to use him. Can’t we stay here together?”

For the first time Pierre thought it might not be that. It was strange and absurd, and he couldn’t understand it.

“He is alone too.”

The word ‘like me’ was engraved in Calypso’s eyes as she said this. When he came to his senses, he had already stupidly accepted it. Did the third son hear himself wrong? He kept a look on his face the whole time, but in the end he didn’t say a word of defiance to Calypso.

This made Pierre curious. As far as he knew, there was a wall of age between Calypso and his third son, Agenor, that could not be bridged. Was this all? Unlike Calypso, Agenor awakened to the power of water from birth. How the hell did she bake and boil it so he couldn’t say a word and stay still?

“Master, it’s okay! Have you waited long? It’s done!”

By the time he woke up from thinking, there was a dish with steam rising in front of him. Pierre pondered for a moment… Could a three-year-old cook? It was a different level from roughly preparing, reheating, or slightly processing the dishes brought by attendants until now. However, Pierre, who did not know the process of the child’s growth, refused to do so again.

“Last time I saw it, Master seemed to like red salmon! He mixed it with salmon to find something he could eat!”

“You looked for it?”

Pierre looked at and Calypso once. Then he frowned slightly. A dish prepared by Calypso with confidence. A dish in which steam was raised… The dish that was revealed when the lid was opened was something bizarre, something that couldn’t be said to have been mixed with salmon. Wouldn’t it be like this if there was a ‘salmon from the nether’?

‘…What a mess.’

She said she would cut the dishes for him, but he wondered if she showed signs of it from the time she started chopping. Apparently, his daughter was terribly bad at cooking. Pierre calmly acknowledged what was in front of him. On the one hand, it was a little disconcerting that the person who had to put that thing in his mouth was none other than himself.

“Are you fine? Even though it looks like this, I also considered nutrition!”

To tell the truth, Calypso was actually, she thought anything that went into the mouth was good. In the 1st and 2nd rounds, she lived a hungry life close to abuse in a family where a hat was sold for being caught. In the previous episode, she lived as a survivalist, leaving her family and suffering all kinds of hardships, catching animals in the meadow or forest. Seriously, the concept of food was dull. She returned three times, but there was no way she could be fine. The regressor, who had broken down without even knowing it, showed remarkable madness in cooking and food, but she was the only one who didn’t know.

“…Are you considering nutrition?”

“Yes, I got a valuable recipe. It even considered the three major nutrients!”

…If he ate it, I thought he would lose not only the three major nutrients, but also his sense of taste. Pierre commented calmly.

‘If you don’t want to eat, overturn the plate or throw the fork away.’

At least it was enough to throw it away to bite it. Even so, his hand didn’t do that.

“Actually, it was because I felt sorry for Master…”

Calypso, unaware of this, wiggled her hands while putting the dishes on top.
