Is the Guide Reborn?

“Chen Wuyou…” The novel did not touch upon the love story of this miracle doctor, and even his dual homosexuality was new information they found out in reality. In the original plot, Chen Wuyou’s existence was to give the protagonists who were almost killed by the unscrupulous author a reason to survive and continue to break their limbs. His presence was neither low nor high. He only appeared at critical moments and was nowhere mentioned at other times.

“…Fan, do you know whether you like Sentinels or only male Sentinels? Have you tried to connect with female Sentinels?”

Fan shook his head. He had spent all his energy just to overcome psychological barriers these days. To get a steel-like straight Sentinel of 20 years to admit his sexual orientation is even harder to achieve than trying to bend metal with one’s willpower.

“You can have a good chat with Chen Wuyou.” Cen Zhen suggested, “He is your kind and has a good mentality. You can ask him for help.”

“But he–“

“The thing you said… maybe there is a misunderstanding.” Cen Zhen could not endorse Chen Wuyou with certainty, but the situation of ‘Dr. Chen is a sex-hungry demon, and kissing a stranger male Sentinel in broad daylight was too unrealistic, so he was more willing to believe that there was a misunderstanding.

“…” Fan lowered his head unwillingly and remained silent. The lion swung its tail impatiently beside him, making a humming sound in its throat, obviously getting impatient.

Cen Zhen stood with him for a while. Fan remained in the same posture all along, almost like an old monk in meditation, and the lion gradually bared its sharp teeth, and its beastly eyes lingered around Fan’s neck as if it was looking at dying prey. Cen Zhen sighed silently in his heart, “I…”

“Can you please ask for me?” Fan and Cen Zhen spoke at the same time, saying what he had thought about for a long time.

“What do you want to ask?”

“First, ask him what he was going to do to me at that time! Then, we can talk about the rest later.” Fan stuttered. Things are unpredictable, and time is unforgiving. The arrogant and narcissistic straight Sentinel in the past had all his values overturned, his sexual orientation changed overnight, and he turned into a timid little gay Sentinel now.

“If I ask, he will definitely know that you asked me to ask.”

“…That’s still better than me communicating with him directly.”

Since he has asked for help so directly, Cen Zhen can’t refuse anymore. He sent a video invitation to Chen Wuyou, and Fan immediately stepped back three steps and defensively stood outside the terminal screen.

Doctor Chen has always been idle as if taking a walk, pouring hot water, and answering questions online were all he had to do for work. He answered Cen Zhen’s call, sitting behind his desk, holding a cup of hot water, and asked before Cen Zhen could speak: “Why haven’t you sent me the compatibility between you and Lian Yu? Did you forget?”

“……” Cen Zhen did forget, “I have something else to ask you.”

“What is it?” Chen Wuyou’s voice was lazy, his panda showed a round butt with a clear black and white color on the corner of the table, and no one knew what it was doing.

“Do you remember our first meeting in the hospital?”

“Of course I remember, I’m not suffering from Alzheimer’s.”

“Fan suddenly came up and said some nonsense, and I knocked him down.”

Chen Wuyou suddenly narrowed his eyes, smiled, and nodded: “Yes.”

“Then I left,” Cen Zhen’s eyebrows were relaxed, but Fan frowned nervously, and could only hear Cen Zhen’s steady voice in his ears: “What happened after I left?”

“What could happen? I helped you clean up the mess and found an empty ward to accommodate the Sentinel…” Chen Wuyou’s tone was casual, but he gradually became thoughtful when he said this, and his voice became softer and his speed slowed down. Cen Zhen glanced at Fan lightly, and saw that the other party was indeed full of: See, I knew that this doctor with dual homosexuality and corrupt medical ethics had something to hide.

Chen Wuyou put down the cup and asked seriously: “Why do you suddenly ask me this question? Did Fan tell you something?”

Cen Zhen nodded honestly, and Chen Wuyou asked again: “Are you trying to say that I took advantage of him?”

Cen Zhen didn’t nod or shake his head this time, but just asked: “Then did you take advantage of him?”

“No.” Chen Wuyou said without hesitation. When Fan heard these two words, his cheeks flushed immediately. He raised his hand and wanted to call Cen Zhen to quickly cut off the call, but he heard Chen Wuyou say: “I didn’t have time to take advantage of him. He woke up too quickly.”

Fan: “……”

Cen Zhen: “……”

Chen Wuyou didn’t notice the subtle changes in Cen Zhen’s facial expression, and lowered his voice with a guilty conscience, “Is your surroundings safe?”

“……”Cen Zhen, “I don’t know what kind of safety you are talking about.”

“Tsk, let me tell you this, that Sentinel named Fan is totally my type in terms of appearance.”

If Lian Yu were here, he would definitely sneer: I’m afraid there is something wrong with your eyes.

“I left after putting him on the bed that day. When I was checking the wards before leaving work, I stood in his room for a while. I felt it was so rare to meet such a Sentinel that’s my type, but it was a pity that he only liked Guides.” Chen Wuyou spread his hands and sighed, “I just sat by the bed and looked at him for a while. I swear I only looked at him with my eyes. If I tell any lie, my gland will get bitten off by a Guide as punishment.”

“You are talking nonsense.” Fan stretched out his hand and grabbed the floating screen, facing his furious face, “Why are you so close just to look at me? You clearly want to kiss me secretly! Damn, you fxxxing dual homo!”

“Fxxx! Why are you here!” Chen Wuyou exclaimed, and accidentally knocked the cup with his hand, and the hot water splashed all over him. He hung up the phone, leaving Fan jumping up and down. Fan’s teeth were chattering, and in his anger, there was a different emotion that he had not noticed, which was slowly fermenting in his heart. He turned around and was about to scold Chen Wuyou’s dying excuses to Cen Zhen, but he found that the Guide had disappeared without a trace, leaving only a dead shark on the ground with teeth marks all over its fins.

“As soon as I wasn’t paying attention, you went out to flirt with others, huh.” Lian Yu put his hands around his waist and sat on the bed pretending to be serious. “If I had been a little late, would you have brought Fan back to sleep with?”

Cen Zhen didn’t believe that Lian Yu didn’t hear Fan’s frank speech about his sexual orientation. He opened and arranged the dinner he bought on the way, and asked the smart housekeeper to prepare tea. “It’s because you are not durable.”

“It’s only been a few days and you think I’m loose?” Lian Yu picked a boiled egg and peeled it slowly. “Don’t you remember how tight I was before? It’s because you are too big and you played me loose – oh, I mean the spiritual tentacles.”

Cen Zhen tapped the wall of the bowl with chopsticks. “Even eggs can’t stuff your mouth?”

“Of course, chicken eggs can’t stuff it up,” Lian Yu faced Cen Zhen and deliberately stretched a small section of the rosy tip of his tongue to lick the corner of his lips, where there was a small piece of Egg white crumbs, “But your egg can.”

Cen Zhen raised his eyebrows, and his eyes followed the hint of red into Lian Yu’s lips. When he looked up again, he looked right into the grayish-green eyes. After a long time, he smiled slightly and put his tea egg into Lian Yu’s bowl, “Eat well, and then come to test the compatibility.”

“……” Lian Yu folded his legs and stuffed this super salty-looking thing back into Cen Zhen’s bowl, “Hey, are you incapable? If so, tell me sooner so I can change my approach and strategy.”

“I’m very capable.”

“Then you just can’t do it to me?” Lian Yu turned on the projection mirror function of the terminal and lifted the light golden hair on his shoulders, “Does my look make you lose interest?”

“…You don’t have to be so self-deprecating.” Cen Zhen didn’t know why he wanted to laugh. He covered his mouth with chopsticks and ate wholeheartedly.

“Then why are you——”

“Instead of talking nonsense here, why not tell me what you have been doing these two days.” Cen Zhen stood up and brought the warm water prepared by the housekeeper. Lian Yu curled his lips and answered while holding the cup: “I went to make some money yesterday. By the way, did I tell you where the 500 million came from? It was a legacy left by a rich man to his children. It has been deposited in a bank on the Feihuinos planet. His five children died. The only surviving youngest son is an illegitimate child. He has no idea where he came from since he was a child. To survive, he became a star pirate and killed many people. He hated his father to death and would rather continue to be a star pirate than take this huge sum of money.”

“Later, he was caught by the interstellar police and sentenced to 390 years in prison. When we met in prison, he told me the place and password of the token and told me to use it at will if I had the chance to get out… He was just bullying me because I was sentenced to 763 years, thinking that I would never get out! I wonder how this bastard felt after learning I escaped prison successfully…”

Lian Yu suddenly remembered something when he said this, and turned his head to look at Cen Zhen: “I gave you this 500 million to buy your 100 million…” He didn’t say anything more, because he found that Cen Zhen was smiling, a very light smile, so light in the corner of his lips that could be called nonexistent, and it was fleeting, but it seemed that the blue pupils washed by the seawater would not lie, and the smile left an indelible mark in it.

Cen Zhen seemed to be smiling more? Lian Yu recalled carefully, and what he remembered most clearly was Cen Zhen’s indifferent face that had not changed for thousands of years. He racked his brain to vaguely recall a few hazy pictures. He didn’t know how much he had paid back. The only thing he could be sure of was that it was definitely far less than 100 million times, and he was still Cen Zhen’s big creditor.

“As for today, I went to see Hongxing’s progress. I was really jealous. The two of them were inseparable, like a couple in love, kissing each other all the time.” Lian Yu glanced at Cen Zhen with a hint of meaning, “The Jiao princess believed that Hongxing was the husband the Golden Snake chose for her, and her heart fell in love with him quickly. But if this is the case, it seems to explain why the princess fell in love with Yaojin at first sight in your novel. After all, it was Yaojin who saved the pet snake in the original plot.”

“Yeah.” Cen Zhen nodded. After finishing dinner, Lian Yu immediately packed up the garbage and threw it outside in a good mood. When he passed by Cen Zhen sideways, he hummed a song and stroked the corner of Cen Zhen’s lips with his thumb. Cen Zhen raised his wrist after he came back. Lian Yu knew his intention without a word. When their wrists touched, the terminal beeped twice and a line of words popped up at the same time:

Your compatibility with each other is 79.10%
