I'm the Maid that Hates Raising Children

I Dreamed of a Normal Housewife Life

CH-04

It’s been about a month since I became Eileen.

I was currently cleaning the windows.

A day in the life of a nanny goes like this.

Wake up early and prepare breakfast.

After feeding the children well, watch them play, clean up the dirty mess, and do the laundry.

Then it’s lunchtime again, preparing meals, and packing snacks…

“A housewife is truly a great existence.”

The schedule was jam-packed without a moment to breathe.

“If there’s anyone who mocks a housewife’s labor…”

Crunch.

I stepped on a dry twig.

“Maybe I should start.”

To work, tools are needed.

The destination was Eileen’s room.

“It’s always so glamorous.”

Inside the wardrobe were all sorts of expensive items, and the jewelry box was filled with the jewels she had collected so far.

Things she had bought by embezzling the royal subsidies.

But the purpose of coming here was not for the jewelry.

I pulled out a box hidden under the bed.

“Let’s see. Mop, cleaning cloth… Ah, found it. Detergent.”

Modern tools needed for cleaning.

After gathering everything I needed, I felt a sense of incongruity.

“They don’t really go together.”

Medieval lady’s room and ultra-strong detergent.

“I never thought it would work.”

I glanced at the modern items.

The grasshopper soup and blueberry bagel I used for breakfast this morning were all things I brought from my dream mart every night.

“Kyoo!”

“Ha-yaeng!”

The white furball named Ha-yaeng greeted me, which had become quite familiar.

I hugged Ha-yaeng and wandered around the mart.

“What I’ve found so far…”

Only one item can be carried at a time.

Only items I can carry or hold are allowed.

Items from this world cannot be taken to the mart.

“More or less.”

I transferred the detergent to a glass bottle and left the room.

“I have to feed them lunch, there’s a lot to clean, and the dust keeps piling up.”

There was really no room to breathe.

But thankfully.

“Eileen, I finished cleaning the east corridor window!”

A maid with green hair tied up in one bun ran towards me.

The maid who had recently arrived at the cold palace, Emma.

After dismissing the maids, I rushed to the palace personnel department to request new personnel.

“They don’t have anyone to spare for that.”

Too dirty and dangerous, really.

Then I spotted Emma.

Emma was being harassed among the maids.

Seeing me look in that direction, the palace personnel department smirked and said she could take her if she fits there.

“If she’s suitable for that palace.”

Useless, stupid, accident-prone.

In the end, I ended up bringing Emma.

But contrary to my worries, Emma was meticulous, smart, and kind to the twins.

“She looked miserable when she came, but now she seems cheerful.”

There’s no one here to torment her, of course.

She looked much more relaxed, which was fortunate.

“Good job. Let’s clean the floor together.”

It was time to clean the corridor until it sparkled with detergent.

“I’ve never seen a corridor shine like this! The palace I was in was clean, but it didn’t shine like this!”

Watching Emma admire it made me proud.

The cleaning tools made by the scholars were truly different.

“It was worth the effort.”

It was a bit tiring, but if I hadn’t brought tools from the mart, it would have been real hard labor.

“I need to escape this ghostly mansion.”

Cleaning was easier, but the palace was too spacious.

There’s still a long way to go to make it look like a human’s dwelling.

“I’m lucky to have Emma.”

But even with two people, the work was overwhelming.

But if I could endure it, it was because of one reason.

“Eileen! Emma!”

Thud thud thud. The lively footsteps of a child echoed through the corridor.

Louis, who came running, suddenly hugged me tightly.

“Hello, both of you!”

“Louis, did you have fun playing?”

“Yeah! I played on the swings!”

“You’re good at it, but you still need to be careful, okay?”

“Of course!”

“I’ll pick apples for Eileen later!”

Louis smiled broadly at me.

It seemed like the world was smiling brightly at that bright smile.

“So cute. So cute. So cute!”

People of the world! Our prince is so cute!

The cheeks that were moderately plump, the cute, pretty and lovely face, and the lively voice of a child were so cute.

I suppressed the urge to squeeze and shake his chubby cheeks.

Really? I’m so excited!”

“Yeah! That’s why we need to practice more!”

Louis bounced in place for a moment before darting off in all directions.

With his natural blonde hair, the back of the child’s head gleamed in the light.

‘He’s the symbol of the Reichardt nobility.’

The Reichardt lineage was known for their jewel-like hair, eye color, and beautiful appearance.

As if sensing my gaze, Louis turned around and grinned.

“Be careful!”

“Okay!”

After waving goodbye, the child started running again.

I watched Louis as he moved further away.

‘It’s hard to believe such a cute child will become the villain.’

Louis was unbelievably bright, almost to the point of being unrealistic.

‘At times like this, I can’t help but resent Eileen.’

The owner of the body still remained silent.

At that moment, as I turned to resume my remaining tasks…

“Ahh!”

A scream escaped involuntarily. Evan was standing behind me.

‘I almost had a heart attack in broad daylight.’

I took a deep breath, trying to calm down, and asked the child,

“Evan, how long have you been here?”

But Evan didn’t respond to my question. He just stared at me with an expressionless face.

“Are you hungry by any chance?”

“Despite Evan’s usual reserve, he appeared more distant and unapproachable today.”

“If it’s about being shy, he’s always like that. He used to be a kind person.”

If it weren’t for Eileen’s abuse, the child would have been much brighter.

‘But… if things continue like this, the future won’t be the same as the original.’

The twins who killed Eileen escaped from the palace and headed to a village.

Their true beginning was when Kassar appeared.

Kassar Vladislav Reichardt.

The former Crown Prince, who had been dethroned due to madness, and the mad dog of the Empire.

He was a sub-male of this world.

‘The collapsed Kassar in front of the protagonist’s house…’

Kassar collapsed in a village due to the side effects of medicine.

It was the protagonist who saved Kassar.

‘It’s a fateful encounter.’

Until the temple took Elsia away.

‘Although it’s called the words of the saint…’

The twins are trying to find Elsia, while Kassar is trying to get the woman who saved him.

‘The twins are villains because Elsia lost her memory.’

It’s understandable for unknown boys to be obsessed with her.

And with the protagonist’s affection and Kassar’s obsession, it became chaotic.

‘But the main contender is…’

Kassar Duke.

Blonde hair and red eyes. An arrogant and obsessive handsome man with a muscular body.

‘He’s totally my type.’

From appearance to attitude and actions, there was nothing unimpressive about Kassar Duke.

[Kassar brushed back the blonde hair that fell below his eyebrows. Moonlight illuminated him, turning him into a work of art. Elsia shrank back from the trembling muscles, and his red eyes captured her. It was a beautiful possession named obsession.]

‘Wow, what a description.’

Thinking of the original Kassar, a sigh escaped my lips.

‘He’s the epitome of a beastly man.’

Personally, I was hoping for a connection with Kassar, but the androgynous style Mika ended up with Elsia.

‘He’s a sub-male, so maybe I’ll meet him once.’

Blonde hair, red eyes. The arrogant handsome man was always right.

I wiped away the drool threatening to escape from the corner of my mouth.

‘Ah, it was another good daydream today.’

Handsome men were a source of strength for me just by imagining them.

And so, after doing household chores and putting the children to bed the next day.

In the early, quiet dawn, I came out to the kitchen to do some cooking.

‘Soup is the best for breakfast.’

I boiled the broth and prepared the vegetables. It was the process of cooking soup.

Most of the ingredients were prepared.

I thought I just had to boil it. But if it weren’t for the unexpected intruder…

Clang!

The sound of a pot breaking echoed throughout the cold palace.

“Ah! It’s a thief!”

With a scream, the intruder fell to the ground.

I grabbed my startled heart and took a deep breath.

‘I was just trying to make some breakfast early in the morning.’

The intruder was trying to break in through the back door.

Thankfully, I just smashed a pot over their head, but it could have been much worse.

‘If they had gone into the children’s room…’

This thief really had some nerve.

There was nothing to steal in the cold palace.

“Well, I should get back to work.”

Of all the people to encounter, it had to be a thief.

I bit my tongue and looked down at the intruder.

‘He has an amazing body.’

Despite wearing a thin shirt, his impressive muscles couldn’t be hidden.

‘To be honest, he’s too good-looking.’

I felt a chill down my spine. Could he be wearing a wig?

But when I grabbed his hair, it was all natural.

‘And he’s excessively handsome.’

Like a very important character.

There was a sense of foreboding. I forcibly lifted the intruder’s eyelids.

His pupils, visible through the flesh, were eerily red.

‘Surely not.’

In the original, there was only one man with blonde hair and red eyes.

“Wow, what am I going to do?”

The thief I had caught was the obsessive sub-male from the novel.

‘The main character is…’

Kassar Duke.

Blonde hair, white skin. Just look at that nose. How can a person’s features be so harmonious? And his jawline and neckline…

What an exquisite work of art.

‘But wait, blonde hair?’

As far as I knew, blonde hair was exclusive to the nobility of Reichardt within the Reichardt Empire.

A shiver ran down my spine. Could he be…?

‘And he’s so handsome.’

My internal handsome man radar was blaring sirens.

‘He’s an A+++ handsome man.’

As I recalled the description from the original, I couldn’t help but let out a sigh.

‘There’s only one character in the novel with blonde hair and red eyes.’

‘But…’

‘This can’t be happening.’

My thoughts were interrupted by a commotion from the children’s room.
