Black Hawk.
The Black Hawk was a group that also appeared prominently in the original novel.
The group that fought fiercely until the very end with Axion, who had gone mad, was this Black Hawk.
To the point that I still remember the name of the leader, a supporting character.
‘It was Leon.’
His name is really cool, too. It was my favorite.
The Black Hawk appeared as the subordinates of Vanilla, who had by then become the head of the Shiaster family. The readers were also captivated by the charm of the Black Hawk and left comments begging Axion to leave at least the Black Hawk alive.
The Black Hawk are very famous at this point as well, not just in the future.
As a reader who commented without hesitation that I would strangle the writer if they killed the Black Hawk, after finding out that I had transmigrated into this world, I furtively asked Carl:
‘Grandpa. Do you know the Black Hawk?’
‘Are you talking about Duke Shiaster’s Black Hawk? Aigoo, of course. Is there anyone on the Quizen continent who doesn’t know them?’
Then Carl told me a story from 10 years ago.
He spoke with a tone that said it’s natural that I don’t know anything about the world, as I was so caught up with farming.
I listened to the story while crunching on an apple.
‘It was ten years ago when Her Majesty Emperor Scarlet had just taken over the government. Because the previous emperor was rather weak in body and mind, the imperial power had completely fallen to the ground.’
‘Mhm.’
‘Taking advantage of that opportunity, Grand Duke Balten, Emperor Scarlet’s maternal uncle, staged a coup d’état. The Black Hawk were very active then.’
‘Active?’
‘Yes.’
Carl lightly put down the cloth he was sewing and narrowed his eyes. His eyes were recalling 10 years ago.
To sum up the story he told me in one sentence, it was like this.
Grand Duke Balten defected and even invaded Emperor Scarlett’s bedroom, but she was saved thanks to the barrier set up by Dazar at that time.
It was very exciting, like an old story told by your grandfather.
I was so absorbed in the story that I forgot to bite the apple.
As that time was before I met Dazar, I only thought of him as Vanilla’s father, so I only said ‘Oh.’
I had thought, as expected of the monster duke’s family!
‘Until then, the Shiaster dukedom was a transcendental family with little connection to politics, but by rescuing Her Majesty, who was barely holding on within the barrier, externally their ties to the imperial family deepened.’
‘Ooh. How did they save him?’
‘They say he tore open space with holy magic and appeared in the bedroom with the knights. All the defensive magic that the imperial wizards had placed on the imperial palace was destroyed.’
‘He then blocked off Emperor Scarlet, looked down at the knights prostrating in front of him, and said this:’
‘What?’
‘Go wild, Black Hawk.’
After speaking up to that point, Carl’s body trembled.
‘Wow. Isn’t it cool? This grandpa, my heart always pounds at this point.’
‘Uhh…. It’s a little like middle-schooler bravado, but whatever. It is cool.’
‘What’s middle-schooler bravado?’
‘It’s something. Something serious.’
I tried to calculate Duke Dazar’s age.
Ten years ago, would he have been a high school student with overpowered bravado, not middle-schooler bravado?
‘Anyway, the Black Hawk did as he said and went wild. They all got crushed.’
‘Hmm.’
Red-stained carpets, portraits of past emperors fallen on the floor, and knights in black armor running wild through the hallways lined with corpses came to mind.
‘Duke Shiaster single-handedly annihilated all the incoming monsters without taking a single step from Emperor Scarlet’s quarters.’
‘Monsters?’
‘Yes. It turns out that Grand Duke Balten deliberately created a gap in space and released monsters into the imperial palace.’
‘Oh my.’
‘Afterwards, Grand Duke Balten’s head was cut off by the other transcendental beings who arrived late. If it were not for Shiaster at that time, the imperial family would have collapsed.’
‘After listening to it, it really was outstanding.’
“Awoo!”
“Oh!”
As I was reminiscing up to that point, I came to my senses when Axion pulled my hair.
“Ooing?”
“Aigoo. Axion, it hurts, it hurts.”
I lightly flicked the laughing Axion’s nose and pulled out the hair in his hand.
“Shall we go see the cool older brothers?”
“Woo!”
I can’t believe you’re using the cool Black Hawk as workers!
I crossed the vacant lot with a little excitement.
The large building with the symbol of the black hawk was in this shape ‘ㅁ.’
It seemed there was a large military exercise hall in the center surrounded by hallways and small rooms.
“Uh, excuse me.”
Until I passed what appeared to be the entrance and walked down the hallway, I did not see any servants or soldiers.
I didn’t see the knights of the Black Hawk either.
‘Didn’t he say he told them?’
Although I was a bit puzzled by Dazar’s words about looking for workers in the Black Hawk, he said he had told them anyway, and even more so, thinking that I might be able to see the Black Hawk, I quickly went in.
However, after I walked for a bit. A delicious smell came from somewhere.
I wondered if it was mealtime. That said, it is around 3 o’clock now. It was an odd time to eat something.
I tilted my head and continued walking.
And then I discovered a scene that can only be seen at a bar in front of a university town.
“……”
In what appeared to be a military exercise hall, about 15 men were sitting in a circle. Some were almost lying down.
Helmets, armor, and swords were thrown on the floor.
In the middle of the circle they were sitting in was a huge liquor jug, and next to it, grilled skewers were being turned over the fire.
Then the tapestry attached to the wall above their heads caught my eye.
On it was written:
♥3040 Gourmet Gathering to Eat and Drink♥
I rubbed my eyes and rubbed them again. Even if I squinted and looked again, the text did not change.
Looking closely, I now could see small words written underneath it.
‘Follow the flavor, follow the charm, life flows by.’
‘True Sathie is Eating and Drinking.’
Next to the word ‘sathie,’ in very small parenthesis, ‘salary thief’ was written.
Burly men with faces extremely red from alcohol laughed and shouted.
“Hey, Leon! This meat is perfect! As expected, only you can be the leader!”
I turned my head with a creaking sound.
I saw my fave Leon, whom I had once fantasized over.
Now, which is the past in the original novel, he would be in his early twenties.
He had a fairly sturdy physique and was turning a lamb skewer over the fire with one hand with his face pressed against a liquor jar.
A humming sound was heard from the liquor jar where his head was buried.
“You misters are burning all the meat, so I have no choice but to do it. Sheesh.”
I wanted to wake up from a dream.
What are these trash? Did I really come to the place where the Black Hawk are?
Ah. I must have taken a wrong turn.
I shook my head and stepped back. I had to quickly get out of that place. I felt like if I watched them any longer, I would harm my mental health.
And right then.
Someone’s shout stopped my steps.
“That’s my skewer, you bastard! You’re still a Black Hawk!”
Black Hawk? Did you say Black Hawk?
I turned my head in a creaking manner.
The two men were fighting, glaring at each other.
“I saw that you ate two earlier, idiot!”
“What? Idiot? You son of a pig, who are you calling an idiot?”
“What, what? Pig? Such harsh words….!”
A large man with a heavily sunburned body shouted and suddenly turned his head.
He fell sideways like a tragic heroine, and his shoulders trembled pitifully.
Then the bald man who had cornered him said with a helpless expression on his face:
“This crazy guy, here he goes again. Captain, go get the salt!”
“Ah, annoying.”
Leon, who was in the midst of turning a lamb skewer, frowned.
“It’s over there, next to the skewers. Use that.”
Then, as if the bald man had forgotten, he facepalmed with his huge hand on his forehead.
Splash! Splash!
When he sprinkled salt on the copper-skinned man, who was still sobbing, the salt bounced off of him.
Grains of salt hit and fell off of my cheek.
“Aim better!”
Dissatisfied voices spread from around me.
They were so drunk that they still didn’t know I was there.
The bald man who threw all the salt grinned and ate his skewer.
“Captain, did the master say he isn’t coming today either?”
“Yes. He said he didn’t want to because it smells like trash.”
Leon answered.
Then the men lying around mumbled in very drunken voices:
“Where is the trash here? Hiccup.”
“Hahaha. That’s right. If we let you join in our gourmet gathering, you should know that it’s an honor.”
Then the copper-skinned man who had fallen pitifully and was hit with salt said with a straight face:
“Hey, you bastards. If the Lord comes, we can’t be sathies, sigh. Stupid.”
“We can all be it together. Giggle.”
“Ah! That method!”
After listening to their conversation, suppressing with all my might the desire to turn back and leave right away, I finally concluded that they really were the Black Hawk.
Thanks for the update 😊🇧🇷🐱
