In a stuffy, dimly lit enclosed space, where young boys and girls were huddled together, sniffing and crying.
A ding.
The noise freaked out the kids in the cramped room. They couldn’t understand a word and were scared out of their minds.
In the chaos, a boy with really pale skin and light blond hair bit his lip and started crying.
Apparently, until a few days ago, the boy had been living alone in the mountains with his mother, unnoticed by anyone.
They lived a quiet life, roaming the mountains, collecting the precious roots of the trees, cleaning them, and selling them at the market. But one day, misfortune struck them suddenly.
A fire broke out in an instant and swallowed up their home. With nowhere else to turn, Mother looked for help and was lucklessly captured by a slave trader.
The boy’s mother was dragged away with him, killed by a blunt object accidentally swung by a mercenary. The boy, who witnessed the scene, was stunned and fainted. It was the beginning of all his misfortunes.
A thud.
Another sound and the door swung open.
Startled by the sudden bright light, the children tried to hide in a corner. As the men rushed through the room, they instinctively cowered as best they could in fear.
The slaver frowned for a moment at the foul odor that filled the room but then turned his hawk-like eyes on the children.
“Hey, you’re the biggest one in there, come with me.”
The tallest of the children, a shining blond boy with a thin, wiry frame, his eyes widened in fear. The slaver dragged him away.
It was an unbelievable situation.
With nothing to look forward to, the blond boy burst into tears. The misfortune was too much for a child of his age to bear. His emotions were so overwhelming that he could hardly breathe.
Before he could recover from the shock of losing his mother, the boy followed the slaver to another room.
The boy was washed by an old woman whose mouth had been wiped clean and changed into clean clothes before he was called into another room.
The boy frowned at the strong smell of perfume that greeted him as soon as he opened the door.
One side of the room was furnished with a wide bed and a canopy of thin silk, and the floor was covered with a carpet made of demon fur.
“Hmm, we’ll see.”
In the best room, a slave trader and a masked lady had a conversation. The boy stood stiffly, unable to imagine what was about to happen.
She had a lot of jewelry in her piled-up red hair and a billowy dress, but instead of looking luxurious and elegant, she just looked tacky and distracting.
The boy flinched at the creepy glare she gave him from behind her mask.
He turned his head to avoid her gaze, but her piercing eyes scanned his body from head to toe. The boy felt as if there were bugs crawling on him, and he grew increasingly creeped out.
“Whether or not you are, my lady. If you need anything, just call for me, and I’ll be off.”
Pierre, the bear-like, who traded slaves, was looking pretty pleased.
If the fancy lady was into it, that slave boy would be making bank for a long time.
Pierre’s dreams were coming true. Everyone was captivated by the boy. Pierre saw his worth and started cashing in on it.
The boy’s days flew by.
The boy’s time passed quickly.
The boy, who was disgusted with everything, became an adult. He no longer sulked after work, but instead smiled at them with the sweetest, most seductive smile in the world.
As the days turned into months, and the months into years, the boy began to formulate a plan. A plan to use the guests to escape from here.
“Truly……, you are always beautiful, boy.”
“You’re too kind, my master.”
The man, who had just reached adulthood, naturally folded his eyes into half moons. The woman looked at him as if she was following him.
He knelt down before her and looked at her as if she was his most precious treasure. As he watched, she pursed her lips.
The woman who was running her fingers through the man’s bright yellow hair looked at him directly in the eyes.
His presence was always captivating, and not just because he was good-looking. His luxurious face and intense gaze could lure in anyone who caught sight of him. And once his stunning purple eyes locked onto yours, you were completely captivated.
Intoxicated by his gaze, the woman slowly shifted her gaze to take in his ivory skin and red lips.
He makes her never want to leave this room again.
“Hah……. I wonder if I could own you?”
The desire to spend more time with him was consuming her.
It wasn’t just her, but all the guests who met him felt the same possessive feeling.
The man spoke like a man treating the most precious thing in the world.
“You’re my only light and salvation, the only love I can feel in this hell, and I hope you’re the one to find me.”
His sweet voice made her shiver with emotion.
But the man’s eyes were cold, despite his sweet words.
Reading her desire, he smiled to himself. It was easy to deal with a customer who wanted him. All he had to do was smile appropriately and say what he wanted.
The woman was of noble birth, after all. Anyone with enough money and power to come to her regularly was of some use.
“I don’t want to go back to the days when I didn’t know you. I don’t want to be away from you.”
“Me neither, I don’t want to deal with anyone else anymore, I just want you to be my master.”
People who wanted him so badly that they were desperate for him. He smiled and whispered sweet words to fulfill their expectations.
Those who were seduced tried again and again to take him away. There were attempts to buy mercenaries to help him escape, and there were plans to officially buy him.
Of course, Pierre would never let a man be taken from him.
Slaves were not human beings, they were property.
Those who attempted to take another’s property were eventually brought to justice. The men were punished and tortured.
They were no longer allowed to see him. And so he spent the next few days and months in Pierre’s cage.
He grew increasingly lifeless and thin.
Locked in his room, he was dying day by day. His body and soul were exhausted.
“This guy won’t eat again? Do you think there’s any money left to feed you? What’s so good about this guy?”
When he refused food again, the servant angrily taunted him.
The food was more like dog food mixed with leftover rice, but the man would starve if he didn’t eat it, so the servant forced his mouth open and poured out the dog food.
“Giggle, giggle, what good is a halfpenny who doesn’t talk like this?”
At the servant’s mockery, he gulped down the food that had been forced into his mouth and turned over on his side.
He didn’t want to hear any more criticism, but the servant didn’t know what to do and touched him.
“So your mother looked just like you, did she? What a waste, the ignorant mercenary who killed her and the master who gave her to you.”
The servant, who had been crawling up the stairs without realizing it, put down the bowl and was about to leave the room.
He got out of bed and slowly approached the servant, who stared at him with an expressionless face.
