EPISODE 2.6
“This is ridiculous.”
Cha Yebin, who had been reading and re-reading the test results over and over again, looked at me in disbelief. I noticed the orange juice pooling under his chin. Should I wipe it off?
“Really?”
Cha pleaded with a look on his face that said, “Please say no.” I
shrugged, firmly dismissing his plea
“Do you think I’m playing with blood relation jokes? This is a case that, if revealed, it will bring light to the life of the shabby Han Seo ri, the unfortunate eldest daughter of the Jecheon Group. What an honorable position.”
“Honored? To be brother and sister with the man I love? Is that what you call a honour?”
“Well, I said it.”
“Ryun!”
Han Seo-ri glared at me with bloodshot eyes, resentment radiating from her entire body. She shook with rage and stormed out of the room.
I was able to regain my quiet peace thanks to the heroine, who always runs away whenever something traumatic happens.
Cha Yebin, still in shock, instinctively followed Han Seo-ri, then hesitated and looked at me. His outstretched hand slowly descended in the direction where Han had gone.
“Tell me the truth. Are the results of this test real?”
“Yes, unfortunately.”
“Why are you telling me now, did you know all along?”
His eyes were hollow and his voice was weak, and I felt a cold wind blow through my chest. Han Seo Ri was someone I was supposed to hate, someone I hated, but Cha Yebin was different.
Cha Yebin’s hatred for Ye ryun stems most fundamentally from his love and attachment for her.
My brother, to whom I respect, my brother to whom I love. And Han Seo-ri is the one who will take him away.
There was no hatred from Ye ryun for her brother. There is only resentment towards her brother for choosing Seo ri, living for her all alone, and looking only at her.
Cha’s affection for Yebin was always deep in her heart.
That feeling was transmitted to me, and unlike Han, the sight of Cha Yebin’s soullessness was not so refreshing and cool.
“I’m sorry, but I’m just telling the truth. Even I didn’t know that Ms. Han was my father’s biological daughter, I still wouldn’t have told you…….”
“I know, I understand everything you’re saying, so stop it, Ye ryun.”
Cha Yebin staggered out of the restaurant, his steps were weak.
Finally, alone, I leaned back on my chair, closed my eyes, and thought.
“Oh, I made a mistake.”
I’d hastened the drama’s progress. My actions, both big and small, have changed the storyline of the drama in small ways, but I’ve never been so blatantly involved in its progression.
I also removed the scene where Han Seo-ri was supposed to overhear her adoptive parents’ conversation. The good news is that the world is still quiet despite my advancing the story.
It’s a world that used to put the brakes on my behavior in unusual ways whenever I did something that shouldn’t have
happened in the story. Perhaps this world has decided that my revealing the secret of Han Seo-ri’s birth won’t affect the drama’s story too much.
“Haa…….”
I’m exhausted. It’s good that I kicked Han Seo Ri’s ass, but I’m so tired. I can’t wait to get out of this damn drama.
I grabbed my robe and slipped out of the restaurant and headed to the parking lot, where I saw a man standing next to my car.
“Ms Ye Ryun. Are you going home?”
It’s Park Eun-woo. Park Eun-woo walked out of the restaurant with a stern expression. Had he been waiting for me since then?
“Mr. Park Eun-woo. Didn’t you go back earlier?”
“I have been waiting here to take you home. I’m Ye-ryun’s fiancé.”
“What about Han Seo ri? I thought you could have taken care of her since you were both so busy right now. It’s your job right Park Eun Woo? You would show up like a prince and take care of Han Seo Ri when Cha Ye bin can’t take care of her.”
You are not my fiancé.
If I had to guess, you’d either be running to Han Seo Ri in a rage at Cha Ye Ryun, or you’d be filled with hope that the fact that Han Seo Ri and Cha Ye Bin are siblings means you can claim her, right?
“Seo Ri took a taxi home, she was crying for a while.”
For some reason, Park Eun-woo’s shoulder pads were soaked through, and she must have cried in his arms.
Even though she was in a state of shock, she still had the presence of mind to go to Park Eun-woo and embrace him.
I guess none of the things I said earlier about not messing with my fiancé went through her tiny head. Oh, I’m speechless.
I will never be able to like Han Seo ri to the end.
To reiterate my frustration, the only thing I did to her was to point out every one of her nuisance behaviors and impose appropriate sanctions.
To be more specific, when Han-seo used her good personality to get into trouble, she interfered with Cha Yebin’s and Park Eun-woo’s schedules so that they couldn’t help her, so she had to deal with the consequences herself.
She made sure that the employees at the company she was bothering knew all about her misbehavior, and she made sure that they knew how subpar the proposals she was bringing in were.
And the least she did was to consistently oppose his marriage to her brother. I swear.
But Han Seo-ri blamed me for all the misfortunes and hardships she had caused herself and easily hated me.
Seeing Han and Cha Yebin reacting in this way as if all my actions were the heinous deeds of a wicked woman, made my frustration and anger at the Flower of Trials rise.
