I Will Escape from the 'Flower of Trials'

IWEFTFOT Chapter 1.7

EPISIDE 01

PART 7:

And for this drama to roll, the extras around her are working hard behind the scenes doing things that she should be doing. They don’t even realize it’s unfair.

I can’t tell you how many times I’ve watched the drama. Hundreds of times for auditions and endured this frustrating development and the irritation that comes with it.

How is it that the female protagonist can run away from the company so often?

It’s just some socially unsavory behaviors that she gets away with just because she’s the protagonist.

Behaviors that other people would find reprehensible, but the protagonist is the only one who gets a pass.

I was trying to make these extras realize how easy Han Seo-ri has it in the world and how unfair it is to have to clean up after her.

That way, they will be unhappy when she tries to go out on her own, as she did this time.

Maybe they can even stop her from going out on their own or may dislike her.

It’s a delightful and hilarious way for Cha to harass Han Seo-ri efficiently.

A non-illegal way to incite people’s hostility without her having to do anything so that they would harass her instead of me.

I just wanted to avoid a drama ending where Cha Ye-Ryun is thrown in jail.

Mr. Choi hang up on the receiver and made an incredulous face. I laughed heartily as I saw that expression onto his face.

Your life at work is going to be hell, Han Seo ri.

I hope she can endure this petty bullying from me.

I hope she can endure my petty harassment so that she can marry Cha Yebin like the ending of this drama.

That’s what I want more than anyone else.

To make that happen, I will continue to hate, irritate, and harass Han Seo Ri to the best of my ability.

No matter how much I torment her, she’ll still be the one who wins this drama, but I’ll do my best.

For a happy ending for both me and her.

“You guys, she’s going to make you all suffer in the end. Can someone take over her duties and report back to me, right away, within the hour?”

Oh, my God, the corners of my mouth turned up and wouldn’t come down.

I had a hard time suppressing a genuine sense of amusement as I watched my teammates’ faces gloom up with frustration.

“Ah, that’s refreshing.”

I walked back to my office feeling refreshed. Things were going better than I thought.

In fact, as a typical morning drama heroine, Han Seo-ri had a lot of frustrating aspects.

Not bothering others and cleaning up her messes are the most difficult things for her.

So I suddenly wondered.

“Why does Flower of Trials portray Han Seo Ri as an incompetent character?”

Usually in morning dramas, when a villain and a heroine compete for a project, the villain always loses.

The ordinary heroine always has the upper hand against the talented villainess who has had an elite education all her life.

To prevent this, the villainess uses illegal methods to sabotage the heroine.

However, in The Flower of Trials, Han Seo-ri is incompetent and is forced to rely on the people around her.

That’s why she has helpers like Cha Ye-bin and Park Eun-woo by her side, who are always reliable.

“Then why did Cha Ye ryun illegally harassed Han Seo-ri when she could crush her with a light touch?

Hiring people to injure her, manipulating her work to damage the company, breaking into her house and wreaking havoc, falsely genetically engineering her, ordering her kidnapping, faking a pregnancy, embezzling company money, and framing her.

All of the things she’s done to Han are enough to earn her a lifetime in prison.

Why should I ruin Cha’s life, which would be going well if it weren’t for Han Seo-ri, by doing the same to myself?

So I decided not to repeat it.

I will hate Han Seo ri as much as this world demands, bully her, and do my best to help her grow into her own.

“I’ll protect you, Cha ye ryun. Because if I can’t return to reality when the drama ends, I will still be alive.”

* * *

“Ms. Seo-ri’s parents suddenly opposed their marriage. Cha Ye-ryun, did you do this?”

Cha Yebin was furious.

After a hard day’s work, I came home to find Cha Yebin drinking spirits at the dining table.

How long had he been drinking so much?

He reeked of alcohol. Don’t do this at home, run to Han Seo-ri and suffer with her. That’s why the male lead is being called unattractive.

You’re sitting here drinking while the heroine is mourning with a wistful BGM.

A pathetic expression washed over my face, and Cha Ye bin’s face flushed red with pride.

“Tell me, it wasn’t you.”

“No, it wasn’t me.”

“That’s impossible. If it’s not for you, Ms. Han’s parents would have no reason to object.”

“You already believe it’s me. If you’re drunk, go to your room, wipe your feet, and go to bed. Don’t be so pathetic.”

“You!”

Oh, that’s deafening. If you don’t have anything to say, shouting at the top of your lungs isn’t attractive.

Is he handsome in his own way? Do you like him so much, Han Seo ri? I want her to rethink about it. Aside from his money and good looks, he’s nothing but unattractive.

I almost feel sorry for Han Seo-ri, who is crying and screaming that she likes this guy because he’s a male protagonist.

“I’m tired, I should go to bed. Do you have any idea what happened to me today? I wouldn’t have been so tired if she had done half as much as her work today.”

“What does the work have to do with her? Aren’t you supposed to be helpful to your sister-in-law?”

“Forget it. Stop drinking.”
