EPISODE 1
PART 3
“Oh my, miss, what’s wrong, your hair is wet, and your clothes are……”
When I arrived at the mansion, I was approached by Deacon Kim, who was surprised to see me.
“Kim, please don’t ask me anything. Please don’t tell my father that I came like this today.”
“If you say so, Miss……. Oh my! You smell like kimchi…….”
“I made a mistake while eating and got it all over me, I need to wash up quickly and get back to work, so please don’t mind it Kim, and go back to your business.”
The person looking at me with worried eyes is my Butler plus caretaker Kim, who is in charge of all the management at Cha Ye-ryun’s mansion. She’s a motherly figure who has taken care of Cha Ye-ryun since she was a child.
However, Butler Kim is the character in the drama who finds out all of Cha Ye-ryun’s misdeeds and tells the heroine, Han Seo-ri, everything so that she can stop Cha Ye-ryun from being
destroyed.
However, Cha Ye-ryun catches her in the middle and takes the evidence away, rendering her testimony useless.
‘Deacon Kim. 54 years old. Affectionate personality. Trusted by the entire Jecheon Group family. I need to be careful of her.’
With the information about Deacon Kim in my head, I went up to my room on the second floor.
Cha Ye-ryun’s room was not barely a room, it had everything. A restroom, a study, a dressing room, a minibar for drinks and snacks, and so on.
It looked creepily similar to a fucking soap opera set.
“I’ll start by checking out the progress sheet.”
I walked into the neatly organized study and removed a book from the shelf, which spun around to create a new space. It’s my workspace, the one I’ve created away from the prying eyes of the locals.
Photographs and newspaper articles covered one wall, and next to them, a table organized by the year and the events that were to take place in the future.
[XX, XX, 20XX: Han Seo-ri’s adoptive parents were sent the results of her paternity test with Chairman Cha].
[XX, XX, 20XX: Han Seo-ri’s mother slapped Cha ye ryun with kimchi].
[XX, XX, 20XX: Han-seo learns the secret of her birth by listening to her adoptive parents’ conversation].
I went back to the progress chart and underlined “Kimchi slap” with a highlighter. The drama is fast approaching the halfway point.
“The paternity test results I sent were well received by Han Seo-ri’s adoptive parents, so the kimchi slap came. Next up…….”
I went back to thinking about the overall plot of Flower of Trials.
Flower of Trials, Korea’s most popular daily drama, it’s like a cancer cell that has spread its popularity throughout korea. It has also spawned a huge syndrome, with countless parodies.
As the drama’s title suggests, the female protagonist, Han Seo-ri, is put through all kinds of trials…….
Cha Ye-bin, the male protagonist, a chaebol, falls in love with Han Seo-ri at first sight, and the two of them fall in love after a
certain period of bickering.
They try to get married against the opposition of their families, but it turns out that Han Seo-ri had a birth secret!
‘They were half-siblings!’
Being desperate, the two began a hellish life as siblings, but Han Seo Ri realizes that the male lead, Cha Ye Bin, is the adopted son and not a blood relative of the chaebol family!
‘What a miracle!’
While he’s overjoyed that he and Seo ri are not related, Cha gets into a car accident. And, of course, he has to suffer from amnesia, which is a must for any good drama!
“Wow……. Awesome.”
I shook my head and clicked my tongue, but there was more to come.
Cha Ye-bin, who regains his memory after breaking through Cha Ye-ryun’s interference, is forced to develop cancer.
However, thanks to the organ donation by the sub-lead Park Eun-woo, Cha Ye bin is saved, while Park Eun-woo suffers from the
after-effects.
Park Eun-woo never regrets donating his organs for the heroine, and they even name their child after him before his passing away.
Finally, Park Eun-woo’s face appears in CG on the sky above the beach, and Cha Ye bin and Han Seo-ri look at it and say
“We’ll be happy. Thank you so much…..!’
And that’s how ‘Flower of Trials’ ends with a happy ending.
I’ve only scratched the surface of the plot, but my head is already aching.
The final villain, Cha Ye-Ryun, or should I say, I went completely insane at the end and tried and failed to run over Han Seo-ri.
“The sin is culpable, but the person is not!”
I was so moved and moved by Han Seo-ri’s famous line, which was so ridiculous, that I had to turn myself into the police and do penance for all the evil things I had done.
That is the future ending that awaits for me, Cha Ye-ryun, who has to spend the rest of her life in prison.
“I’ll be damned…….”
I threw the pen away nervously as I scribbled down the next series of events in my notebook once again.
When it aired, Flower of Trials became the most abused drama in Korean history for its ridiculous goodness of Han Seo-ri, the stupid evil of Cha Ye-ryun, and its frustrating plot.
There were even calls for the writer to be banned from the drama industry.
However, the ratings were very good for a daily drama with more than 100 episodes, with a lot of swearing and weirdness.
The female lead, Han Seo-ri, was an incompetent woman who couldn’t do anything and had to be taken care of by the characters around her.
The OG plot is so familiar, literally so many dramas from my country have such convoluted plots, the Female lead is always a Mary Sue who can do no wrong and no idea why the villainess would be so obsessed with the male lead.
Thank you for the chapter 💙💙
You are welcome❤
