“Will you sleep with me?”
Karan’s head tilted to the left. He stared at Elise, who was sitting across from him.
A noble from Bedrokka, was asking a Tetris, who was known as barbarians to spend the night.
“Why?”
“As I mentioned before, it will be helpful.”
“To me or to you?”
“Both.”
Karan took a long, deep breath. His chest rose and fell.
She was an irresistibly alluring woman. Just looking at her was enough to make his mouth dry up.
Even so, Karan hesitated. It was all because of Elise.
“Are you serious? Unlike Tetris, chastity is very important in Bedrokka.”
“Are you asking to be told not to take responsibility?”
She tilts her chin up, her eyes provocative. Karan’s throat felt dry. To avoid showing his tension, he ran his hand through his disheveled hair.
“I’m saying I will take responsibility. But before that…”
Karan took Elise’s hand, which was resting on the table.
He pried open Elise’s clenched fist. Karan forced his fingers between hers.
He touched her hand, which seemed infinitely small and delicate compared to his, without a single scar.
Her life, unlike Karan’s, had been a bed of roses, clearly evident in her small hand.
Her hand was trembling slightly.
‘She’s nervous.’
Her trembling shook Karan. He slowly brushed the palm of her hand.
‘If you’re sincere, should I pretend not to notice and hold on?’
Karan had no intention of saying that the place they were in was a fire pit.
Pretending to be a ripe fruit, emitting a tempting scent, Karan lifted Elise’s hand.
Elise’s gaze followed him.
Karan, not missing her gaze, lowered his lips to the pulsing inside of her wrist.
“Ah…”
Elise’s red, tempting lips parted like a budding flower.
“It won’t be a peaceful night.”
The place his lips touched stung as if it had been burned.
He accepted Elise’s proposal.
Elise’s heart thumped.
She unbuttoned Karan’s shirt, revealing sturdy shoulders rarely seen in a nobleman who only held a pen.
In Bedrokka, the rare black hair and mysterious black eyes like obsidian were captivating.
His eyes were sharp but shone with intelligence, and the gentle smile at the corners of his mouth inspired trust in the other person.
He was still a truly handsome man. Elise recalled him from the first reception where she had met Karan.
It was a surprisingly vivid memory.
‘I thought he was handsome when I saw him before. Others said he looked rough.’
As Elise remembered him, a soft touch landed on her lower back.
Before she knew it, Elise was on the bed.
“Don’t regret it, it’s already too late.”
It was something she had decided from the moment she promised to meet Karan, even without him saying it.
She didn’t want to regret it now or turn back.
It was strangely casual. But apart from that, her body obediently responded.
Instead of answering, Elise grabbed the unbuttoned collar of Karan’s shirt.
This prologue is very enticing. Description, please?
So for Karan’s country chastity is important even for men?
