I Was a Supporting Character

The ‘writer’ continued to speak.

“The original story is like this: Leia somehow knew your feelings and thought of helping you get along with Ares, but strangely, that didn’t make her happy. So, she ends up feeling weird about it and realizes her love for Ares while enjoying the cherry blossom festival together, saying, ‘I was in love with Ares.'”

My mind became complicated.

In that case, is it possible for the upcoming ‘pillar’ to happen even if Ares does not love Leia?

I responded with a stern expression to the ‘writer.’

“Ares won’t go to the cherry blossom festival with Leia. He’s being very cautious about getting involved with her because of me.”

Due to me, he kept a certain distance from Leia. He, who should always be with her, started doing things separately.

Moreover, if Ares, who loves me, were to avoid misunderstandings, he wouldn’t enjoy a date alone with Leia!

Despite my confident expression, the ‘writer’ spoke firmly with an expressionless face.

“No. It will definitely happen that way. The crucial ‘pillar’ in the novel will happen somehow.”

I couldn’t agree with the ‘writer’s’ words. The Ares I know is never a man whose words and actions are inconsistent.

“No, Ares won’t be with Leia. I can guarantee that.”

As I asserted, the ‘writer’ chuckled mockingly.

“It doesn’t matter anyway. The novel’s ‘pillar’ will definitely emerge. Because of my reckless use of the first person, some things went out of my control, but the ‘pillar’ is a force beyond my will.”

Still, I couldn’t give up.

I had to confirm that the novel’s ‘pillar’ could disappear or change. That’s the only way I can survive! And I can only accept Ares’ feelings if he doesn’t fall for Leia!

I glared coldly at the ‘writer.’

“You’ll find out when the time comes.”

The ‘writer’ stared back at me without yielding.

“Do as you please. Even if you try your best, at best, you can only touch the ‘pillar’ created from a higher-dimensional world.”

“If you don’t indulge in your futile attempts, the ‘pillar’ won’t appear.”

“I have no intention of meddling with anything. Why would I bother? Heh.”

The ‘writer’ exaggeratedly spread her arms and spoke.

“Even if I deliberately try not to appear, the ‘pillar’ is destined to appear. This world exists because of my novel. It’s programmed to follow the flow of the novel.”

Her words were not entirely incorrect.

I, too, sensed that this world was constantly trying to turn me into a villain.

With a smug expression, the ‘writer’ added as if savoring the moment.

“To make it clear that I, who cannot lie, I’ve never deliberately met any other characters besides you.”

I looked at her in disbelief.

“Then, what have you been doing all this time?”

“There’s so much to see here! I never had the chance to travel properly until this age. Isn’t it time to enjoy some fresh air, especially after all that exam preparation?”

“Writer,’ how old are you then?”

“Ah! I’m nineteen in Korean age! Stop asking about my age like that, really!”

She said she was nineteen in Korean age, which roughly matched my age of twenty. Well, she looked about the same age.

Still, I couldn’t be at ease. I needed a mechanism to ensure she wouldn’t meddle with my fate.

“You, if you can’t lie, it means you must keep your promises, right?”

“Well… yeah, that’s how it works. If I break a promise, it would be like lying about future events.”

“Then promise me one thing.”

“What is it?”

“Don’t interfere in the novel. Don’t meet any other characters besides me from now on. Not Ares and Leia, or any other characters.”

Surprisingly, the ‘writer’ accepted my request quite agreeably.

“Alright. I won’t meet any other characters from the novel except for Bianca Uranos.”

“Hoho, quite noble of you, isn’t it?”

The ‘writer’ chuckled at my remark.

“Hmph. Just watch. Even if you go to this extent, the ‘pillar’ will appear anyway. Making unnecessary promises to prove my point.”

My face involuntarily stiffened.

“Ares won’t go to the cherry blossom festival with Leia.”

I reiterated my assurance.

The ‘writer’ turned away from me, as she did when she was chuckling, and walked slowly down the path she originally intended to take.

As she moved away, the ‘writer’ shouted loudly.

“If you want to see me again, wait at the tea house next time.”

I felt a surge of anger at her words.

“I waited for days, and you didn’t show up! You’re a liar!”

“It’s hit or miss.”

I quickly looked around for something to throw, but the roadside was clean.

Ugh, so frustrating!

Anyway, since I had encountered the ‘writer,’ there was no reason to go to the Aphrodite Tea House. However, I hesitated for a moment and eventually headed back to the tea house. I needed a quiet space to sit and organize my thoughts.

I ordered rosemary herbal tea at the counter, went upstairs, and sat by the window as usual. Then, I took out a pen and paper for notes and summarized the current situation with words and drawings.

Goodness this “author” infuriates me!! Such an entitled, condescending, sadistic, immature, childish, selfish prick she’s being here. Honestly if anything, the “author” is the privileged one here, expecting everything in this new world to go the exact way of her nonsensical and immature wants and she keeps sadistically enjoying basically torturing Bianca psychologically! She might be young but that isn’t an excuse for her to torment this poor girl and gleefully watch and expect her to turn into a cartoon villain just because she wants Bianca to be one!! I really.. really do not like this “author” girl..
