I Raised a Nine-Tailed Fox Wrongly

IRNTFW I Chapter 02

Celia was always alone.

As soon as she was born, she was abandoned on the outskirts of the castle without even the umbilical cord.

The priest saved it by taking it to an orphanage as it was about to become food for a monster.

It wasn’t such a bad environment.

It was an old and shabby nursery, but the atmosphere was peaceful. Even though I was hungry sometimes, I wasn’t hungry for affection. But Celia had a problem.

Only Celia, she alone was flawed.

“Priest! “Celia was trying to became a monster again!”

Hair like bright sunlight, milky skin, and eyes as deep and elegant as light jade.

Celia easily gained people’s favor because of her lovely appearance. And as easily as I gained affection, I quickly gained dislike. It was because of the cursed brand on her left shoulder.

The people at the orphanage whispered that her beautiful appearance was meant to charm people and carry the curse.

“It must be a witch or a monster.”

“that was right. They said witches have pretty faces. “She was trying to kill us with a curse.”

When young Celia heard her friends whispering, she thought: ‘that was right. That was probably why my parents abandoned me.’ Celia felt painfully as the priest tried to force her to be nice to her.

Because I knew that it wasn’t sincere, and it felt like my heart was being stabbed.

Especially on days when she had seizures, the children made a fuss, saying that Celia was about to turn into a monster.

“Celia!”

The voice of a priest calling my name like a scream.

Children’s noise.

Every time Celia felt like that, she wanted to hide under the bed.

If it weren’t for the burning pain I felt in my left shoulder, I would have hid.

But it was so painful that there was nothing I could do but struggle. The curse somehow not only hurt others, but also hurt Celia herself. “Ahhhh! Argh!”

The cute face was distorted in a hideous way, and the hands and feet twitched violently like an upside-down spider.

It was an inevitable pain.

But no one knew the pain.

no one.

Both the priest and the children simply found Celia’s struggles disgusting.

When Celia began to struggle, the adult priests clung to her and violently restrained her.

He mercilessly pressed his head to the floor, used force to suppress his urinating body, and ripped off his jacket as if tearing it to pieces.

Then, a black curse scar was revealed on his left shoulder.

“sick! “It hurts so much!”

The priests, ignoring Celia’s tearful pleas, poured holy water on the curse.

Then Celia struggled even harder.

Like a bug that had been sprayed with pest medication.

Dozens of pairs of eyeballs glued to the window peered at her as she wriggled under pressure.

“Look at that.”

“Ugh, I feel bad.”

Celia understood her friends’ disgust for her.

Even the priests who couldn’t hide the contempt on their faces understood.

People who spread bad rumors about Celia or tried to be mean to her were sure to get angry.

People could fall down the stairs or, in extreme cases, die. The curse was real.

Celia was truly a cursed child.

It was natural to dislike her.

“Celia was a cursed child. “She must died her evil breath.”

“Celia had sacred powers. “It was our mission to raise all children with saintly power safely and send them to a holy nation.”

Even though the priest insisted, Celia knew.

They were just afraid.

They were afraid that Celia’s curse will harm them, so they were trying to close their eyes using the excuse of having holy powers.

“Celia. You were a bundle of curses, but the merciful Solar hasd bestowed you with holy power. Even though we, mere believers, cannot know His will, we should not be proud of His divine power. “If you wanted to protect the life you had managed to save until the end, be quiet.”

I was thankful to the priest who didn’t kicked me out anyway. “Were you going to curse us if we don’t join in the tag game?”

“You were so disgusting when you got holy water. Struggling! “It looked just like a crushed caterpillar!”

I was also grateful to my friends who, no matter how much they teased and bullied me, tried to include me in the play.

Even if hate, hate, and all kinds of dagger-like words are shot at you like a swarm of bees… … . But I can still live.

Because I want to live.

“I don’t have to play tag. “I want to play with the doll.” Because I just want to live.

Celia realized early on that she was in no position to be sad. So I lived grateful that I could live.

They stubbornly held on, using the holy power bestowed by Solar, the god of the Western Continent, as a shield.

I naturalized to the Holy Kingdom because I didn’t want to die, and I still didn’t feel safe, so I became a Holy Knight.

The daycare center in the outskirts where she grew up was soon closed because it was located in a difficult area to raise children.

The people who kept their mouths shut for fear of being cursed scattered throughout the Holy Kingdom and disappeared like a mirage.

Celia, who became a paladin, covered her body with armor to hide the curse.

He wore a cold mask and did not leave his side to anyone. So I was alone until then.

I had never cried or looked forward to anything.

I never fell down or said anything weak.

alone.

Only alone.

All I know how to do was hold on, so I just do it ignorantly.

Loneliness was suppressed by training, sadness was suppressed by defeating monsters, and pain was suppressed by gagging.

That was how I lived.

‘Grow it up. ‘This young fox.’

It was so hard to breathe.

***

Celia looked at the cotton-covered iron cage and said an untimely moment of silence.

He was waking up in the middle of the night and doing this without even batting an eye.

Her beautiful blonde hair was tangled like straw, but she didn’t have the presence of mind to tidy herself up.

It was because I had a strange dream and felt uneasy.

‘Who was that guy?’

A dream held so tightly by a man.

Celia was a person who had no history of being hugged by anyone since she was in orphanage.

Even the man’s appearance was so beautiful that it would make anyone cry, so I couldn’t forget it.

‘I hadnever seen a man like that.’

She had never seen such an erotic looking man before. I had only dealt with monsters and paladins all my life. I had never seen a man who could captivate people like that.

‘I didn’t have a good imagination. That was the person in my dream… … .’

Celia suddenly came to her senses and shook her head.

‘This was not the time to be like this. ‘I have to think about what to do.’

She sat at a distance, then hesitantly got up and approached us. ‘Should I check the status?’

When I secretly removed the cotton cloth, I saw a badly injured nine-tailed fox lying unconscious inside the cage.

When I saw that, my eyes became dark.

‘How do I treat it?’

Treatment?

She was the cure.

‘oh my god… … .’

How can a cursed human embrace and heal a young life? If it was in my hands, I was sure it would die.

The fox was just about to run out of breath.

If I didn’t take action, I was going to die tomorrow.

“Grrr… … .”

A cry filled with pain broke Celia’s panic.

“I was sorry.”

She apologized clumsily and took the nine-tailed fox out of the cage. ‘Because he was a monster, he won’t listen to holy water, right?’

I covered the wound with herbs I received from the healing priests, but I wasn’t sure if I did it right.

I was mesmerized for a long time as I looked down at the sick fox. “Ugh, wow… … .”

The fox began to groan while unconscious.

Animals and monsters hide their presence when seriously injured, so it seemed like I was having a nightmare rather than crying in pain.

“Shhh… … .”

Celia held the nine-tailed fox tightly wrapped in bandages in her arms.

When the warmth touched my skin, I got goosebumps.

The energy of a living being other than mine was unfamiliar and awkward.

‘Maybe I like you.’

Celia sighed, then suddenly remembered a healing priest and fell into trouble.

Although his personality was eccentric and outspoken, he was not a bad person.

‘If we leave it like this, the nine-tailed fox might die. ‘You need to ask for help.’

Even though that healing priest would be displeased, he would not be able to ignore a painful life.

He was a person who had a sense of duty in his job and was not false in expressing his emotions.

Everyone avoided him because he was rough and eccentric, but he was trustworthy because he was so honest.

‘Besides, it seemed like he had a crush on me for some reason.’

Celia was quite puzzled by that, but she felt fortunate that the situation had turned out this way.

‘It would be okay to at least get some help.’

It was my first time asking someone for something.

I felt skeptical about doing something I had never done before because I had lost some of the trouble I had in my life.

“I need to raise it quickly and send it out. So grow up quickly. huh?” Celia soothed the little fox in her arms and whispered like a song.

“You will grow up and became independent. When I became an adult, I will let go without any regrets. “It flies like a butterfly.”

freely.

Unlike myself, who cannot escape the curse.

“You may be a monster now, but since you were the child of Heavenly Tiger, you too can became a spirit creature if you train.”

“… … .”

“Became a spirit and receive lots of love. Make lots of friends. Meet a pretty fox and make love. Be free and happy.”

Celia idly told the fox all the dreams and wishes she had ever had and sang a lullaby.

Meanwhile, the fox, who had been having nightmares, fell into a sweet sleep.

It was the moment when Celia released the quiet fox back into the cage.

“omg!”

A stabbing pain suddenly began from the scar on my left shoulder.

Celia moaned, something she was used to, and went deeper into the bedroom and put a gag in her mouth.

“Ugh… … .”

Now I know how to keep from crying and how to hold back my moans. I know it all, but… … .

As much as this pain.

I could never get used to this terrible pain that was eating away my life.

A quiet night when the fox sleeps.

Celia’s painful time suppressing the pain began to pass quietly. ***

The next morning, Celia ended up calling a healing priest because the fox was boiling with fever.

As befits his outspoken personality, the priest responded as soon as he heard Celia’s request.

“Why were you asking me all the favors, Captain?”

Still, I diligently gathered my things and followed Celia. She looked secretly excited.

“Were we finally getting closer?”

He mumbled something to himself, but it was so fast that it was difficult to understand.

Anyway, glad that it seemed to be in a good mood, Celia showed the fox to her.

The priest hummed excitedly and then grabbed his cheek. “monster!”

It was a scream comparable to that of a dolphin.
