I Played the Role of the Adopted Daughter Too Well

CHAPTER 053

Zennon nodded silently, and Hikson’s eyes widened as he looked at Viola.

“When did you study that?”

The successors of Bellatu generally did not study poisons themselves.

Instead of studying poisons and finding countermeasures, they would inject extreme poisons into their bodies to build resistance against them.

Since they had no need to fear poisons, there was no need to study them.

The successors of Bella II were the ones who wielded their swords even more than studying poisons.

“When did you learn about poisons?”

“I’m the white Bella II. I have to study hard.”

The poisons mainly used by the ‘Fervor’ later on are those three poisons.

“The Poison Witch, Ser Silka, uses them a lot later on.”

In this novel, aside from Viola, there are two main villainesses, and she was one of them.

She was a character with a significant presence, and accordingly, there was quite a detailed description in the novel.

“Huh. The more I see, the more fascinating this guy is. So? What kind of poison do you think they will use? Chireum something?”

“Chireumjeoldok can only be used in cold regions or during winter, so it won’t be effective.”

“What about Yeolhwa something?”

“Yeolhwamaengdok is too expensive to be used on just the Three Seeds Artisan Village.”

Expensive means that the ingredients are rare, and if they try to acquire enough to kill all the Three Seeds Artisan Village, they will be caught.

“They don’t want to be traced.”

Hikson and Storm Sword Jekal are already on their trail.

They are hiding their bodies even more covertly.

So they won’t do anything that will make them traceable.

“In the end, the only poison they can use is Sahilgeuknakdok.”

“What’s that again? I’ve never heard of it.”

“For three days, it makes you feel good and dreamy. And after three days, you fall asleep and die.”

“Such a poison exists?”

“Yes. It’s easy to make, and the effect is certain. It’s also cheap, and there’s not much evidence left behind.”

“A perfect poison?”

“But not quite.”

Viola shifted her gaze to Zennon.

“Zennon, do you know the reason for that?”

“Yes, I do.”

Zennon took a breath and continued.

“The effect is certain, and it’s cheap, but the detoxification is too easy.”

It takes a whole three days for the effect to manifest.

If you feel anything strange during those three days, you can simply detoxify yourself.

The value as a poison is greatly diminished.

“That’s why it’s often used simply as a hallucinogenic drug.”

“It’s perfect timing to use it now. The Three Seeds Artisan Village is currently bustling and busy. Moreover, the special envoy of Bella II, and the Lady herself, is coming down. And the internal and external affairs of the Three Seeds Artisan Village are not in their right minds due to the shock of losing their son.”

“So, is it the right time to use the three days?”

“Except for a few quick-witted knights, we will use it on the remaining members. And just before we arrive, we will stab them with a sword while they are dying. It’s a way to minimize the time of the crime.

It’s also good timing.”

“And they’ll blame it on us?”

“Yes.”

Viola pointed at Tundra.

“Tundra, start running without resting from now on.

Go to the Three Seeds Artisan Village alone.”

***

When Tundra arrived, it was a step too late.

“The master was right.”

He secretly infiltrated the Three Seeds Artisan Village.

Most of the artisans in the village were staggering due to being poisoned.

“But there are a few who seem fine.”

They seemed to be the axis of evil instead.

He recalled Viola’s words.

“There will be some who seem fine. Be suspicious and cautious of them. They are likely to have taken the poison.”

Viola’s words were correct.

He sensed sharp prayers.

“There are about eight of them.”

Tundra faithfully followed Viola’s instructions.

Taking advantage of the darkness, he launched a surprise attack.

He killed four people who were sleeping in one place.

“It was easy with the element of surprise.”

Now they would have noticed something strange as well.

“Now!”

He attacked a person who was patrolling, but it was a trap.

“Ugh!”

He was stabbed in the shoulder.

However, Tundra still struck the opponent’s throat in that state.

He sacrificed his shoulder and seized the throat.

“But this is troublesome.”

There were still three remaining.

Viola would only feel at ease once they were all dealt with.

That night.

In the end, Tundra faithfully carried out Viola’s command.

“Huff… huff…!”

Even after completing the mission, he was not in a normal state.

He exerted himself greatly to follow Viola’s instructions.

“I feel a bit dizzy.”

He had lost too much blood.

Nevertheless, Tundra, in a battered state, found the Three Seeds Artisan Village.

“Master Artisan.”

Someone tossed and turned under thick blankets.

The person spoke.

“Get lost. Who are you on such a late night?”

“I apologize.”

Viola had taught him.

“If he is the real master artisan, he would naturally sit up.”

“But if he is a fake, he would hide his face and tell you to leave.”

She had also taught him one important fact.

“Never let your guard down. I will ambush you from behind when you turn away.”

“What should I do then?”

“Respond with ‘I understand’ and pretend to step back, then launch a surprise attack first.”

Tundra recalled those words and replied.

“I will step back.”

He pretended to turn away.

Then he tried to launch a surprise attack, but it was difficult.

“My body is not in a normal state.”

If he were in a normal state, he would have attacked immediately, but he couldn’t help it.

In an instant.

Someone jumped out from under the blanket.

Obviously, it wasn’t the Three Seeds Artisan.

The tip of the blade touched Tundra’s throat.

Thud!

That someone fell to the ground.

Tundra stabbed the fallen person’s neck with his sword.

“So you’re not the only ones who know about poison.”

It deviated from the original work.

In the original, Tundra did not use venom or poison.

He was a character with a destructive sword that worshipped the swordsmanship.

But he had learned about poison and venom techniques.

“To be with my master. For my master’s happiness. I won’t hesitate to use any means necessary.”

He wouldn’t have learned it if it was only for his own strength.

But the situation had changed from the original.

He didn’t want to become strong just to stand alone. He had to become strong to fulfill his grand dream.

“I am my master’s companion.”

To be a companion.

That’s why he had to do his best, and the current Tundra was more desperate than the Tundra in the original work.

He became more and more dizzy.

He was bleeding too much.

“Dizzy.”

But the mission had to be completed until the end.

He stabbed a venomous needle into his forearm.

“I’ll see it through to the end.”

It was a venomous needle that temporarily awakened him.

His subconscious thought.

“For my master.”

Tundra, dripping with blood, approached the wall and swung his sword.

Crash! The wall collapsed, revealing the Three Seeds Artisan trapped in a chair.

“As the Lady commanded.”

Viola had taught him.

“The Three Seeds Artisan is a resolute person, so he will recognize the Three Days of Bliss Venom. So he probably took precautions in advance. He must have restrained him somewhere.”

Ugh! Ugh!

The Three Seeds Artisan struggled.

“In a few hours, the Lady will arrive.”

Tundra released the Three Seeds Artisan.

“Mission accomplished.”

He collapsed right there.

He had lost so much blood that his face had turned pale, but his expression looked incredibly happy.

With unfocused eyes, he stared into empty space.

“I hope you praise me when you come.”

Until the very end, he didn’t miss the mission.

“Lemon, vinegar, and intermediate-grade Alminu powder, mix them in a ratio of 1:1:1 to make an antidote. You are in a poisoned state…”

And then he lost consciousness.

A few hours later.

Viola, Hikson, and Xenon arrived at the Three Seeds Artisan Village.

The first part of the chapter seems to be missing because I remember there was discussion on the poison types and their party having been ambushed multiple times, but that part seems to be skipped here…
