I Picked Up an Abandoned Villain in the Polar Region

IPUAVNP Chapter 8

Episode 8

The avalanche that was chasing them was blocked by the trees that densely surrounded the forest, so it could not get inside and ended up piling up at the bottom of the hill.

Kyle and Brody stopped and gasped when they saw the scene.

“I thought I was going to die!”

Brody gasped and screamed. Kyle also coughed out the cold air that had entered his throat.

It was fortunate that they were in their animal’s form. Had it been their human’s form, they would have been crushed by that avalanche before it could even come down the hill.

“Kyle, are you okay?”

It seemed like the question was asked after remembering that he was running behind her.

Kyle was about to awkwardly answer that he was okay, but he suddenly felt strange and looked at her.

“You ran away without looking back, thinking that you should save yourself and forgetting about me, right?”

Rather, it was Kyle who looked back and thought about her as he ran.

Brody confidently shouted,“How could that be possible?”, but then she scratched the back of his head with a sheepish expression, as if she didn’t remember anything like that.

Kyle felt an inexplicable discomfort when he saw Brody like that, but his attention quickly shifted from her as she hurriedly looked around to change the subject.

The two looked around the forest.

It was already getting dark, but when they entered the forest, the surroundings became even darker.

The forest was a very quiet place.

The only sounds were their breathing and footsteps, and occasionally the sound of tree branches breaking and falling, unable to overcome the accumulated snow, was heard like an echo from afar.

Nevertheless, the two walked forward full of caution.

Since they had to spend the night in this forest, they had to check for any dangers around them and then find a place to sleep.

Still, since it was a forest, they were safe from the wind.

There were few trees in the white stone plain, so whenever the wind blew, they were almost blown away.

Unable to find danger in the forest, they dug a den near a snow-covered glacial lake.

And there, they ate coniferous leaves and soothed their hunger.

Kyle, who had gotten used to eating grass over the past few days, developed the habit of sitting around and chewing grass like Brody.

After he finished eating, he went into the den to sleep early and wake up early like he always did.

“What! Are you sleeping alone again today?”

Brody, who was left alone, shouted in a desperate voice, but Kyle did not even listen.

As the night of such a difficult day was deepening…..

Kyle, who had been sleeping oblivious to the world, suddenly heard a voice calling him and opened his eyes.

“Kyle! Kyle! Wake up!”

Brody, who normally would have quietly come in while he was sleeping, called him from outside in an excited voice.

Kyle woke up and gritted his teeth.

He stood up and stuck his head out of the cave with the intention of biting the back of her neck if she had called him even though there was nothing special going on.

Thinking like this, he came out with an irritated face. However, he opened his mouth at the extraordinary sight that occurred in the sky.

Light of an unknown and mysterious color was fluttering in the sky covered with dark blue curtains. It was a halo of light that looked both green and blue.

It moved around the Milky Way, with tens of thousands of stars, swimming gently like a trail of smoke.

Sleep escaped him in an instant. It was a truly mysterious sight.

The light was reflected on the snow-covered glacial lake, and the blue light was moving around in the snow field.

Brody, who was excitedly running along it, came up and said.

“It’s Aurora.”

The light also shimmered in Kyle’s eyes that embraced the night.

He was so mesmerized by this mysterious sight that he didn’t even notice Brody leaning in next to him as if hugging him.

She twitched, rubbing herself against his fur.

“It’s a really beautiful night, isn’t it?”

“……..”

“I think it’s a great day to have a special night.”

But while Brody was asking him out for a private night, Kyle thought of another woman.

He took in everything he saw with his eyes and put it in his heart, wanting to show this scene to Zelda as well.1Isn’t she the same woman that allowed him to be abandoned alone in the winter without any food and a pleak future ahead of him…ತ_ತ

Today, a journey no different from yesterday began.

Brody looked at the map and set out to find the path to the lowest mountain in Rodia, and Kyle followed her, repeatedly shouting ‘fastest path’.

In fact, Kyle once tried to run away with Brody’s map of her continent.

However, the escape soon ended in failure.

The reason was quite absurd: the language written on the map was not the continent’s official language, but Clock Rabbit’s own language.

Of course, Kyle couldn’t read or recognize the text.

Not only Kyle, but no one on the continent could interpret these characters.

This was because it was the language of Clock Rabbits only.

Due to their closed nature, the Clock Rabbits were a tribe that lived among themselves deep in the snow country.

Even if they met deer or penguin friends outside, they never got along with them as neighbors or invited them to their village.

They were reluctant to expose themselves to the outside world and make their village known.

This was partly because of their unique ability to turn back time, but also because of the special plants they grew.

The red cypress tree, the ingredient in the medicine Brody carried, was a representative example of these special plants.

Red cypress sap was said to revive people who are mortally ill or have similar injuries.

Similarly, the plants grown by the Clock Rabbits had some magical powers.

So, out of fear of becoming a target for those seeking these out, they lived in hiding, creating letters that others could not recognize.

Brody looked down at the valley below the cliff she was standing on.

According to the map that only she could read, the fastest route Kyle was talking about included going through this rough canyon.

She felt bad about leaving the smooth road and going to a rough route instead.

She rolled up the map she was holding and put it in her backpack and sighed.

“Ugh, who am I going through all this trouble for?”

This sentence was meant for the wolf next to her to hear.

She was still think dumped by him last night

It was no secret that she was frozen by the cold because of that.

Brody glared at him, purring angrily.

“Would you like to feel a bite from this rabbit’s teeth?”

She lifted her upper lip to show off her famous two rabbit teeth.

However, to the wolf whose fangs were ten times larger than those, the teeth that Brody showed threateningly were only the size of baby teeth.

Kyle snorted as if she wasn’t worth responding to.

Brody, whose pride was hurt upon seeing this, ran without hesitation, hugged his legs, and bit his thighs.

“Agh!”

Kyle, surprised by her unexpected grip strength, shook off his leg.

As a result, Brody’s hanging body was thrown to the ground.

The body that had swept across the snow finally came to rest at the edge of the cliff.

And just as Brody was beginning to react and was struggling, her body fell to the bottom of the cliff.

“Aaaah!”

Kyle, who was only looking at his thighs without knowing that Brody had flown down the cliff, heard the screams and approached the cliff.

He immediately craned his neck and looked down.

Was she actually dead?

He looked around, thinking terrible thoughts without any hesitation.

Fortunately, Brody did not fall completely and was caught on a branch of a tree that grew below the cliff.

To be exact, it was Brody’s bag hanging there.

“Aaaah! Save Brody!”

Save me, save me, save me.

Her screams became echoes that extended into the forest.

Kyle quickly forgot that he was the one who had brushed her off and ran down the cliff, complaining that the rabbit was always bothering him.

Every time Brody writhed in fear, the whole tree shook.

Because it wasn’t a very big tree, Kyle shouted at the rabbit, who was shaking from fear.

“Just jump!”

Although, this was not very high for Kyle, who was over 2 meters tall, it was far too high for Brody, who was so small.

It didn’t matter how much snow was on the ground

Brody covered her eyes with both front paws and whipped around.

“I can not! I can not!”

“You can’t stay there like this! Jump out quickly! Don’t waste time!”

“No! I can’t jump!”

“Oh, that **** rabbit really….”

Eventually, Kyle walked up to the tree himself and shook the pole with his front paws to knock the rabbit off.

The tree swayed back and forth due to the tremendous force.

As a result, Brody’s body, hanging on the tip of a tree branch, swayed frantically.

Brody was on the verge of motion sickness as her body shook as if she was on an amusement ride.

As Kyle aggressively shook the tree, Brody ended up falling to the ground.

Kyle headed to the snow field to pick up Brody who had fallen.

Brody was lying face down in the snow.

He wondered if she had broken her neck and died, but she didn’t. Her small, round shoulders were fluttering as if her pulse was beating.

He thought Brody was stuck and flipped her over with his front paw.

However, Brody, who had been turned towards him, was shaking with her eyes tightly covered with her two front paws.

Kyle noticed that she was crying.

‘This **** rabbit…….’

He was annoyed when he saw Brody delaying his journey with her crying.2That’s cruel ಠ,_」ಠ

But if he got irritated here, it was obvious that Brody would sulk again and say she would quit being a guide.

Of course, he couldn’t keep wasting time here, so in the end he came up with only one method.

Kyle sat down. Then he spoke to Brody in an unappealing voice.

“Get on.”

Brody, who was whimpering from the aftereffects of falling from a high place, put down her front paws and raised her head.

Her wet eyes turned towards him.

Kyle ignored her eyes and pointed to his back with his chin.

“Get on.”

It was the same Kyle who didn’t even listen to Brody’s plea for a ride just once.

Brody’s dark, wet eyes came back to life.

“Really?”

Kyle bared his teeth. It meant that she should get on without bothering him by asking twice.

Brody stood up with a face that didn’t suggest at all that she had cried.

Then, afraid that he might change his mind, she quickly climbed onto his back.

The moment Brody, who was sitting on his broad back, grabbed him by the back of his neck, Kyle stood up.

He ran up the valley with Brody on his back.

After a while, Brody’s laughter returned in the valley and she shouted ‘Run, run!’ with the sound ringing out.
