I Picked Up an Abandoned Villain in the Polar Region

IPUAVNP Chapter 45

Episode 45

“You really shouldn’t do this to me.”

After a long struggle, Brody, who was tied up with a blanket, glared at Kyle.

But since she couldn’t even move her arms or legs, Brody’s appearance naturally wasn’t threatening at all.

Kyle snorted and ignored her, which only served to make Brody laugh by bringing up past events she had been reluctant to bring up.

“Do you know what Shiloh said to me after we fought?”

“I don’t want to know.”

Brody turned to Kyle who was growling his response angrily, telling him to listen even if he didn’t want to know.

“He told me to leave with him. He said that when we reached the forest, we should leave together.”

“What?”

“But you know what I said back then? If you knew, you’d fall in love with me.”

Brody chuckled, remembering how righteous her answer had been.

But what really caught Kyle’s attention was not Brody’s answer, but the part where Brody said Shiloh told her to leave with him.

He wondered if that’s what they were talking about yesterday when they were whispering behind his back.

Kyle felt distraught when he realized this. But this distraught feeling was dispelled as if it were a lie by Brody’s words that he heard afterwards.

“I told him I couldn’t leave you, even though just the night before you called me a sly, disgusting rabbit!”

Brody was at a loss as she recalled what he had said to herself and became angry again.

Kyle watched Brody writhing and wriggling under the blanket in silence.

It wasn’t like Brody had expected; he would fall in love or anything.

He just remembered her being so angry that the rabbit didn’t even acknowledge him until the next day, and yet he was surprised that she still refused to leave him.

“You noticed my disappearance this morning and thought I had run off with Shiloh, right?”

“…”

“Tsh, this is ridiculous. You think my love is so light that my heart will change because of a little fight? It’s really disgusting.”

Brody, who had been talking to herself, laughing, snorting and doing all sorts of other things, soon gave up and lay down, blowing air out of his nose.

“Even now, when people talk, at least pretend to listen…”

Brody grumbled in frustration and blinked at Kyle, who had been staring at her silently since a while ago.

She met Kyle’s gaze, which was staring intently at her, and then blushed as if she had realized the meaning of his quiet gaze.

Brody looked down like a lady embarrassed by Kyle’s gaze, then looked up at him with a sly look and stumbled.

“You… just fell in love with me?”

Kyle, who had been lost in thought, frowned when he heard those words.

“Do I look that carefree?”

Brody replied with a regretful expression, “Well, that’s true.”

Then she laid her raised head back down on the pillow and spoke in a resigned voice.

“Then remember when you have free time that I loved you this much.”

“…”

A small yawn was heard from Brody as she finished speaking.

Kyle still didn’t answer. He slowly turned around and lay down, looking at the ceiling.

And after a long time he asked her.

“Why do you like me?”

It was the first time he asked this question, because he had never wondered about it before.

Brody felt a little awkward when she realized that, but she answered without really caring.

“Because you’re handsome.”

It was a firm answer. At the same time, it was an answer that made his tense mind turn into a piece of blank paper.

As Kyle sighed, Brody, who had been giggling, came over to him and spoke again, saying it was just a joke.

“There is no other reason. You are just loved because you deserve it.”

She felt sorry and sad for him because he lived his life without receiving the love he deserved.

That’s why Brody showered him with affection.

However, Kyle, who did not know this fact, asked Brody.

“What makes me worthy of being loved?”

“Just existing is a qualification.”

Brody replied, then added a playful reason.

“And you are very handsome.”

Brody spoke in a whisper, then she smiled and winked.

Kyle quietly warned the rabbit that was wriggling her way toward him, while pretending not to notice.

“Come and see what I will do.”

“Why? Will you give me a kiss when I come?”

That was it. Kyle snatched Brody’s pillow away from her, who was making horrible noises and put a boundary line between him and Brody, threatening her not to come over.

“Lines are meant to be crossed.”

“If you come over, I’ll kill you.”

In fact, from the moment Kyle turned into his human form, Brody clinging to him was even more annoying.

When they were animals, they had fur so they didn’t feel anything when their bodies touched, but when they were humans, the other person’s body felt so exposed.

It would be good if Brody realized that and was careful, but she was faithful to her duty as a horny rabbit even in a human body.

So Kyle made a line with a pillow to keep her from coming over at all.

Luckily, Brody only teased him at first, but soon got tired of it and gave up when Kyle stopped playing with her.

After a while, Brody’s even breathing could be heard. It looked like she had a very tired day.

After Kyle was sure Brody was asleep, he slowly pulled the pillow between them away.

Brody was there, sleeping without even realizing that the line had disappeared.

Although she was in the form of a person, not a rabbit, Kyle couldn’t help but think of her as a rabbit.

It might have seemed even more familiar because she was a rabbit who would fall asleep as soon as her head touched something.

Watching Brody like that, Kyle gently placed a pillow under her head, being careful not to wake her.

But after doing it, he felt strange. He was not usually the type to act so meticulously.

This was the kind of behavior that only a punk like Shiloh would do.

I must have unknowingly copied him.

He furrowed his brows in discomfort.

The more he cared about Brody, the more guilty he felt. As if he was feeling emotions he shouldn’t have.

And there was only one reason to feel guilty: it was Zelda.

This shouldn’t have happened. If he felt guilty, it meant he really did care about this rabbit.

Kyle, whose thoughts were all over the place, turned around and no longer looked at Brody.

He tried to sleep to clear his mind of these thoughts, but he couldn’t sleep.

As he Became conscious of Brody’s presence, which had brought on a sense of guilt, the words she had said earlier also began to torment his mind.

‘Then remember when you have free time that I loved you this much.’

In fact, when Kyle heard those words, he felt his heart flutter.

Even lying down and pretending nothing happened was to calm his agitated mind.

‘Why do you like me?’

‘There’s no other reason. It’s just because you deserve to be loved.’

‘What makes me worthy of being loved?’

‘Just existing is a qualification.’

He never in his entire life thought he was worthy of being loved.

That one’s very existence deserved to be loved.

He knew someone who fit those words very well.

His brother Abel.

As if to prove this, everyone around him loved only Abel.

If only they had loved him like that.

Every time he met Brody and felt blind love for the first time in his life, he couldn’t help but feel regret.

And this regret always made his heart miserable.

Kyle sighed.

The only thing that soothed his bitter heart was the sound of Brody’s even breathing next to him.

“Kyle.”

Kyle, who had been sleeping with complicated thoughts, slowly came to his senses when he heard a voice calling him.

“Kyle. Wake up.”

He didn’t feel the cold floor of the ice cave where he always slept.

The blanket was warm and comfortable, and the voice whispering to him to wake up in that warmth was sweet like the sunshine on a holiday morning.

But when Kyle opened his eyes feeling good, Brody was right in front of him.

“Are you awake?”

She looked at him with her eyes wide open and smiled, rubbing her forehead against his shoulder with her disheveled appearance.

Kyle, still half asleep, looked at Brody in a daze.

He felt comfortable. Waking up to the warmth and hearing her call his name this early in the morning.

But this peaceful state did not last long.

“Kyle, since we’re up early, why don’t we have some cozy time?”

Kyle, who had come to his senses due to Brody talking nonsense this early in the morning, pushed her against the wall.

Then he turned over and lay down under the blanket.

Brody, who had been pestering him and was eventually kicked out, grumbled and went outside.

“It’s funny when I think about it. Why did I get kicked out? This is my tent.”

But the sky that welcomed her was too clear to just grumble.

It was a very nice day for traveling.

Brody, who had been sleeping in a warm place and was shivering after breathing in the cool morning air, felt like all her fatigue had been washed away for the first time in a while.

‘Come to think of it, is there any meat left after the banquet?’

Wanting to get some for Kyle, she took a step forward, but something happened.

Brody stopped walking when she heard a sound coming from somewhere.

“Whaaa~!”

It was the sound of a baby crying. At the same time, someone’s voice could be heard mixed with the crying.

Unable to contain her curiosity, Brody walked past the tents toward the source of the sound.

After a while, a crowd of people was seen gathered in front of a tent.

A woman was kneeling in front of those people, holding onto someone’s clothing and pleading.

“Shiloh, please reconsider! The baby is innocent, isn’t it? So please…!”

‘What does all this mean?’

It was only then that Brody noticed Shiloh standing before the woman.

He coldly shook the woman’s hand away and snatched the baby from her arms.

Brody was surprised by the harsh touch, and before she could even think, her body moved forward without her realizing it.

“What are you doing?”

Shiloh turned his head in surprise at Brody’s voice.

The moment their eyes met, Shiloh’s face immediately lost all colour.

Brody’s brow furrowed at the sight of him reacting as if he had just been caught in a crime.

But Shiloh immediately changed his expression to one of affection and said,

“Oh, Brody. You’re up early?”

Of course, Brody wasn’t the type to fall for that. Brody noticed something strange and walked toward him without hesitation.

She pushed away Shiloh’s hand that was stopping her, an

d lifted the swaddling cloth that was wrapping the baby.

“This is….”

The crying baby had red hair. So it wasn’t a baby from the White Fox Tribe which had only white hair.

Brody, who confirmed this, raised her head as a memory suddenly came to mind.

“You really…!”
