Episode 24
Could he help us get on a boat heading south?
Brody looked at him with wide eyes.
This was also the case for Kyle, who had been suspicious of the reindeer until just a moment ago.
The reindeer hesitated for a moment before opening his mouth, perhaps taken aback by the gazes of those two who looked at him with eager eyes as if they wanted him to tell them more.
“……Actually, my friend is a fisherman who catches herring in the Angevin Sea. If I asked him nicely, he might be able to take you to Winkel.”
The Angevin Sea was a sea not far from the Bay of Winkel, the northernmost point of the Knohen Continent.
In short, if they got help from the person the reindeer mentioned, they might be able to sneak onto a boat and go to the Knohen Continent without any trouble.
Unlike Kyle, who frowned as he didn’t know where the Angevin Sea and Winkel Bay were, Brody understood what he meant right away.
Her round eyes sparkled with excitement.
And she said to Kyle.
“Kyle, I think we’ve met our match.”

Brody and Kyle headed to the house of Jacob, the reindeer boy.
Jacob’s house was not far from the edge of the forest.
After exchanging names and brief introductions, the three walked through the forest chatting away.
“But how did Miss Brody and Mr. Kyle end up leaving for the continent of Knohen together?”
In response to Jacob’s question, Brody, who was walking beside him, spoke instead of Kyle, who was too annoyed to answer.
“Kyle’s home is on the continent of Knohen. I don’t know how he ended up here, but he got lost here in Asgar, and I found him and am taking him home.”
Brody shrugged her shoulders, acting smug as if she was Kyle’s guardian.
And this was definitely something that got on Kyle’s nerves. He said as he walked behind her.
“If you’re going to keep talking nonsense, then shut up.”
But Brody, whose liver was swollen (an expression indicating having a great deal of courage), was not a rabbit who would be frightened by such words and keep her mouth shut.
“Look at him. He doesn’t even know how to be grateful to the one who suffers because of him, and keeps harassing me like that every day. I’m putting up with it because I’m his lover. If it were someone else, they would’ve run away long ago because they couldn’t handle that personality.”
Jacob, who had been listening to Brody’s nagging like a wife gossiping about her husband at a family reunion, suddenly raised his head.
“Oh, wait a minute. Mr. Kyle is Miss Brody’s lover?”
When Brody answered yes, Jacob’s gaze shifted to Kyle.
Not only were they a rabbit and a wolf together, but they were also lovers. It was a very suspicious combination.
And the suspicion was directed at Kyle.
That’s understandable, because it’s not like herbivores would associate with carnivores without being crazy.
So of course, Jacob was thinking that Kyle was blackmailing Brody into dating him and not the other way around.
The look in his eyes that held such thoughts was so obvious that Kyle immediately felt bad and explained it to Jacob.
“Don’t look at me like that, because that crazy rabbit is the one who clung to me and threatened me to go out with her.”
Actually, she never hung up on him, but Kyle just strangely said that.
As if he wanted the reindeer to know that the rabbit liked him very much.
Jacob nodded, clearing his mind of the misunderstanding at the sincerity in his words, but Brody shouted at him from below, growing furious.
“Threatened? If you say it like that, it sounds like your opinion wasn’t taken into consideration at all! I clearly gave you two choices!”
“Those two choices were, do you want to die or do you want to date? Then, of course, I had no choice but to choose the latter, right?”
“What? So you’re regretting dating me now?”
“Who is regretting it? Why do you have a fit all by yourself?”
The two of them bickered while throwing words at each other, with Jacob between them.
But Jacob, who was stuck between the two, looked at them with unfamiliarity rather than feeling uncomfortable.
He was surprised by Brody who was fearless in front of a scary wolf, but Kyle’s behavior toward her was more surprising.
At first glance, Kyle seemed to be annoyed by Brody, but he secretly followed her words.
Even when Brody asked him to help save him earlier, he initially refused, but eventually came and helped him.
Even now, when he (Jacob) talked, he didn’t pay attention, but when Brody talked, he reacted immediately…
Honestly, Jacob didn’t know if the two of them were really lovers, but from a third party’s perspective, their atmosphere seemed quite comfortable and nice.
Jacob looked at them quietly, then smiled faintly and said.
“You two look good together.”
Brody, who had been arguing with Kyle, felt better at those words and glared at Kyle.
“Look, I suit you well.”
Kyle heard that and was about to get annoyed, saying what nonsense she was talking about, but soon he got tired of arguing with her and shut his mouth.
After walking and talking for a while like that, they looked up when Jacob said they had arrived and a cabin in the forest came into view.
The cabin was larger than expected. Not only was the front door high, but the ceiling was also quite high for a reindeer to live in.
Brody blinked and looked at the house. There was none of the cuteness that usually comes with a family home.
It felt cold as if no one lived in it for a long time. It was a cabin that reeked of coldness, there was also no sign of a fence or a well-kept garden.
“Do you live alone in that cabin?”
Jacob nodded several times in response to Brody’s questions.
“Oh, yes…I live alone.”
“I guess it hasn’t been long since you moved in.”
“Huh? Oh, yes. That’s right.”
He looked slightly awkward, but it was enough of an answer for Brody.
She followed his lead and headed to the cabin with Kyle.
Before entering the house, Jacob led them first to a small storage room-like area.
It was a kind of changing room where the people who walked around in animal form would undo their transformation and change into clothes before entering the house.
“There will be clothes inside. There are several sets, so choose something that fits you, change into it, and then wait a little bit.”
Jacob said.
“I’m going to go down to the lower village for a bit. I’m going to buy some food and check if any of my fishermen friends are home.”
“Then let’s go together.”
Jacob quickly shook his head at Brody’s words.
“No, no. I’ll just go and come back quickly by myself, and you two can change your clothes first, enter the house and rest.”
Jacob turned around after finishing his speech. Then, without even listening to Brody’s answer, he quickly ran to the lower village.
Brody tried to tell him to take it slow as he was running away in a hurry.
But she was soon distracted by Kyle staring at her from behind.
“Why are you looking at me like that?”
She supported her chin with her two front paws, forming a cup, as if to say, “If you want to look at my pretty appearance, then feel comfortable to do so.”
But Kyle didn’t even laugh at that pose and said instead.
“Get out of the way.”
“Huh? Why?”
“Shouldn’t we put on some clothes?”
Alas. It was only then that Brody realized she was standing there, blocking the locker room door.
She smiled awkwardly and stepped aside, then looked at Kyle going inside and asked.
“Shall we change clothes together?”
Kyle’s face immediately turned grim.
“Are you crazy?”
“Hey, what’s wrong to do this between us?”
She put her two front paws gently against her eyes, as if trying to cover them.
Then, the moment he saw her sinister eyes winking as her little toes spread slightly…
Kyle slammed the door shut. Soon, the rabbit’s voice could be heard outside, laughing as if she had been fooling around.
Anyway, that rabbit was crazy.
He needed to completely locked the door.
After finishing that, Kyle turned around and in an instant, his wolf body changed rapidly and he returned to his human body.
It had been a long time since he had transformed. As a result, the muscles that had tightly filled his large body twitched terribly.
Kyle stretched his aching arms and shoulders and looked through the clothes haphazardly strewn about in the closet.
Looking at the reindeer’s small body, he wondered if there were any clothes that would fit him, but his worries were for naught as there were many clothes in larger sizes in the closet.
Even for Kyle, who was not small by any means, the clothes were too big to fit.
The clothes smelled like something other than reindeer, probably belonging to a guest or frequent visitor to the house.
Kyle put on some oversized clothes and went outside.
But there was no Brody waiting for him outside the door as supposed to be.
As he quickly looked around, he heard the sound of something crunching at the back of the changing room.
When he got there, Brody was, as expected, eating a bunch of dried grass that seemed to be reindeer food.
As always, she was greedy, grabbing a handful of grass and stuffing it into her small mouth.
He stood there leaning against the wall in silence, watching her, to see if she would notice his presence.
He looked at her plump back, without any curves or anything, just swaying as she ate hard.
After staring at her for about five minutes, Kyle got tired of it and asked her.
“Is it delicious?”
Brody looked back in surprise. And when she saw Kyle, she was even more surprised.
She opened her mouth wide and said.
“Oh my god. Kyle…I thought you were a statue for a second.”
It was an over-the-top remark. Kyle furrowed his brow.
“Go and get dressed.”
But Brody kept squealing like a fangirl, exclaiming, “You’re so cool!” Even when she entered the locker room.
She kept stealing glances at him with eager eyes until just before closing the door, much to Kyle’s annoyance.
She disappeared only after receiving a long look from him.
Kyle looked at her like that and shook his head with a face that was obviously tired.

At the same time.
Jacob, who was going to the village, passed through the village and arrived in front of a small bar located in a remote place.
He had already stopped somewhere before arriving here and transformed into a human form.
He mustn’t have been cold since he had been running nonstop, but he was shivering more than necessary right now.
Jacob took a deep breath and opened the door to the bar.
The acrid cigarette smoke that filled the dark interior went straight into his nose.
“Cough, cough!”
He took a step forward, coughing weakly.
It was dark inside. A few candles were lit, but the air was filled with thick smoke, making it difficult to see clearly. The reindeer’s poor eyesight also played a part.
But after a while, as if to stop him from groping through the air, someone’s voice was heard through the smoke.
“If you have come here first, does that mean you’ve prepared people to hand them over to us?”
That little rat! Brody will make him pay!
Not actually…. Kyle should be the one who will make him pay, but things got missy later on╮(. ❛ ᴗ ❛.)╭
I knew it!!!! He was acting strange and it just didn´t sit right with me
