I Grabbed The Leash Of The Blind Beast

“Shall we kiss?”

“…… What?”

Even Elysia, who was silent and almost expressionless, seemed surprised by those words.

“Just like you forgot the past, you’ll remember it again if you try anything.”

Eleon felt that making excuses was despicable. But he had to do something.

Since Elysia said she was returning to Hadunsha, his head felt empty.

It was vaguely different from ‘leaving’ his side.

Hadunsha was a clear destination for her, but there was a difference between walking away and not wanting to stay with him.

The direction in which they want to go is different.

That meant that they would not be able to meet again in the future in everyday life.

He felt so pathetic. He refrained from extending his hand to Elysia.

I wanted to lock her in my arms and make her only look at me.

And those pretty lips of Elysia’s. I felt like I was going crazy because I wanted to check those lips, knowing how ecstatic they were.

I am trying to satisfy my selfishness.

Isn’t it better than turning around?

All sorts of fleeting thoughts occurred to him.

“Alright.”

Eleon looked at Elysia surprised by her quick response.

“Let’s give it a try.”

He saw her calmly closing her eyes.

Bump.

Eleon felt a pain in his heart.

He wondered if the pain was from anxiety, or if it was anxiety that the butterfly sitting on his fingertips would flee.

What he could tell was that it was pretty different from the excitement he had felt before.

Eleon wrapped his hand around Elysia’s cheek. And he slowly lowered his head towards her.

Getting close to Elysia felt like forever.

Spark!

A dazzling flash of light flashed between Eleon and Elysia.

He looked at Elysia in shock.

A spark flew like a small bolt of lightning over Elysia’s head, who still had her eyes closed.

“What’s going on here? There’s something over your head…….”

Flustered, he stammered and asked, and Elysia opened her eyes.

“That’s because the gods and Oder do not allow you to touch me.”

“What do you mean Oder……”

“A priest must obey him.”

“I’ve never heard anything like this before.”

“…….”

Eleon’s eyes turned fierce.

As before, he held Elysia tight in his arms and tried to kiss her.

But the more he pushed, the more the unknown repulsive force pushed him.

“This is ridiculous.”

Elysia, who had remained helpless to test herself as he wished, licked her lips.

“I’m not the person you’re looking for.”

“Stop saying that.”

“Brother, you already have a partner arranged by God. If you follow the flow of fate…….”

“Shut up.”

Eleon took a deep breath.

“Stop talking like that. I will destroy everything, be it God or fate.”

Every word that came out of his mouth was fleeting and childish.

It was difficult for Eleon to bear this situation as well as for himself.

Eleon bitterly muttered to Elysia, who seemed to have become inanimate like a doll.

“I’m not giving up on you. Never.”

Her purple eyes that looked at Eleon were calm.

* * * * *

All the lights were on in the Crystal Palace until late at night.

It was because the crown prince suffered from anxiety after being mysteriously attacked.

“Alcohol! Bring me more alcohol!”

Sabiel trembled as he took hold of the glass. Usually, his hands would often shake due to excessive alcohol consumption, but today his symptoms were even worse, to the point that half the alcohol spilled out of the glass.

Soon, a servant brought new wine and snacks and placed them in front of him, and he disappeared for fear of being scolded as if he was running away.

“Ugh… Ugh.”

Sabiel, who was reaching for the bottle, frowned.

After being struck by the assailant, he suffered huge bruises that ran diagonally from his arms to his entire back.

When he recalled the pain he felt at that moment, he felt as if he had been crushed by the tentacles of the Kraken, a gigantic sea monster.

He was struck by tremendous force and passed out even though he was not hit in the head.

“Shit.”

He was filled with anger that his pride was hurt and that his dignity was crushed.

When Sabiel’s hand trembled and he couldn’t fill the glass, he threw it to the floor and tried to pick up the bottle and bring it to his mouth.

At that moment, a human figure approached without a sign and firmly grabbed the bottle.

“Stop drinking.”

“Who dares…….”

Sabiel’s expression, which was staring at the intruder, brightened.

“Sonatek! What brings you here?”

A man in a black hood and white mask answered.

“It has been a while since I last saw you, Your Highness, the Crown Prince. I came to say hi, but I heard something was wrong.”

“It’s because of that bastard Eleon.”

Rona? That’s ridiculous. A disloyal bastard who dared to hide and claim the crown prince’s woman under a different name.

“Elysia is my woman.”

When Sabiel got too excited, Sonatek waved his hand. While he held Sabiel in one arm and blocked his view, he plucked a feather from a blackbird floating in the air and dropped it into the glass he was drinking from.

“She will be yours.”

“Are you sure?”

Sonatek nodded as his glowing eyes turned to him.

“Of course. Have I ever been wrong, Your Highness?”

“Yes, you are right. I have never seen a fortune teller as good as you.”

Sabiel soon felt better.

“My friend. Come on, have a drink too.”

“Thank you, Your Highness.”

As they looked at each other and drank their cups, Sabiel’s eyes softened.

“Elysia is yours, Sabiel.”

“Elysia…… is mine.”
