“What’s wrong?”
Rohan was waiting outside the door and walked along with Chaser when he rushed out.
“Nothing.”
As Chaser quickly walked away from the room, Wilhazelle’s smile was stuck in his head. Her smile sparkled like it had a bright filter.
“Heh…”
Chaser, startled, stopped walking and shook his head vigorously. He was out of his mind. That woman looks pretty? Is he crazy?
“Are you hurt?”
Rohan asked Chaser worriedly. He suddenly seemed like a different person. What was going on? He’d been behaving strangely these days.
“I must be crazy.”
Chaser stopped moving and ran his hand through his hair in frustration. Lizelle’s smile had suddenly disappeared like smoke. There was a lot to worry about these days, so his mind must have been tired. Otherwise, there was no other reason why Lizelle’s smile would be stuck in his mind.
“I’m going to the training ground.”
If he exercised his body hard for the first time in a while, the random thoughts would disappear. With that in mind, Chaser headed toward the training ground like a person being chased by something. However, as long as they lived in the same house, they had no choice but to keep running into each other.
Chaser had no idea, even then. Just like a light rain, his heart was being filled by her little by little.
* * *
Two days later.
“Brother!”
The residence, which had been quiet lately, suddenly became noisy with the appearance of one person. Raphel and Lizelle, who were eating in the dining room, were startled by a loud voice echoing through the mansion, their eyes widened.
“Brother! Duke Chaser! Where are you?”
It was the loud voice of a young woman. When Lizelle looked at Tia with a face full of doubts, she realized Lizelle’s question and answered at once.
“I think Lady Casey Rashash is probably here.”
She seemed indifferent, as if it wasn’t Casey’s first time doing this.
“Rashash?”
Rashash. It sounded familiar, she had heard it somewhere before. Lizelle was sure she’d remember it…
She clutched her head tightly and tried to think. A groan came out of her mouth, but nothing came to mind.
“Are you in the dining room? Brother!”
Casey was walking around the mansion like she was the owner of the house, then poked her head into the dining room and spotted the black-haired Raphelion and walked over to him.
“Huh? Are you a guest?”
Lizelle’s hand, which was picking up peas with a fork, stopped because of the sudden appearance of Casey.
“Black hair and red eyes? Could it be Raphelion?!”
Casey saw Raphel’s appearance and rushed towards him, making a fuss. She was looking at Raphel in fascination.
“Wow! Did you find Raphelion?”
There was curiosity in her blue eyes.
“Uh, it’s scary…”
Raphel stretched out his arms towards Lizelle, afraid of Casey suddenly attacking him. Lizelle comforted Raphel and hugged him tight.
“Sorry, sorry. I didn’t mean to scare you.”
Casey put her hands together, truly sorry, but Raphel remained motionless, hiding his face in Lizelle’s arms.
“It’s okay. I’m not a scary person.”
He shook as she held him so she patted him soothingly. Raphel grabbed her collar unwilling to lift his head.
“By the way, who are you?”
Casey quickly lost interest when Raphel stopped paying attention to her, switching targets. The curiosity that had been sparked by Raphel was entirely shifted to Wilhazelle. Casey, with her thick wavy blonde hair and impressive blue eyes, was a young girl who looked to be about seventeen. Her face had not lost any of her baby fat and was round and cute. It was a doll-like face that could attract everyone’s affection.
Lizelle stared at Casey. Her mind wondered about the identity of the girl who approached them warmly and without any shyness. Long blonde hair and blue eyes. A girl who calls Chaser her brother…
‘Ah, now I remember.’
Casey Rashash, the only daughter of Count Rashash. Chaser’s father and Casey’s father were close friends. Thanks to this, the two people have been close friends since they were young. Additionally, Casey was a person who cared for Raphelion, Chaser’s nephew, like a younger brother. She remembered her being described as having a slightly unique personality, but when Lizelle experienced it herself today, not only was she out of his mind, but she was rude.
‘Is it okay to leave her next to Raphelion?’
Lizelle looked at Casey critically, evaluating her.
“Raphelion’s nanny? You’re too pretty and young to be that…”
She passed.
“My name is Wilhazelle Frosier. For a couple of reasons, I am staying at the Duke’s residence for a while.”
Lizelle smiled brightly when she was told she was pretty and introduced herself. There was probably no one in the world who hated praise.
“Ah, that Queen of Luxury! Uh, huh!”
Casey, saying whatever came to mind without thinking, realized her mistake and covered her mouth. She immediately pursed his lips and looked at Wilhazelle’s reaction. Lizelle just laughed it off. Her public image was a person crazy about new products, obsessed with limited editions, and crazy about shopping. Even after taking out a loan from a money lender, she couldn’t help but spend a lot of money, so Lizelle could understand people’s reactions to a certain extent. Rumors about Wilhazelle’s extravagance had already spread widely in social circles.
She never dreamed she’d hear something like that said to her face though.
“S-sorry! Really. My father always told me to watch my mouth… I’m really sorry.”
Casey’s face looked like she was going to die of embarrassment as she covered her lips with her hand.
“Well, it’s not wrong. I’ve come to my senses now though.”
Lizelle shrugged her shoulders and responded, recalling the past. She now understands why Count Rashash banned Casey from joining society. If she made this statement in a crowded place, she would have been criticized for being rude.
“I’m really, really sorry. Zelly…”
Zelly? As Lizelle looked at her in silence at her strange behavior, Casey smiled brightly like a child.
“Sister Wilhazelle. Zelly for short!”
“Zelly…?”
Raphel peeked his head out when he heard the word Zelly. He seemed curious, it sounded like jelly.
“Oh, do you like jelly?”
When Raphelion showed interest in her, Casey smiled brightly and rummaged through the bag tied on the outside of her dress. Lizelle was confused by the rapidly changing topics of conversation. While talking with Casey, it felt like the whole day could be spent just trying to follow the topic.
“A gift!”
Casey was rummaging through her bag and found a bear-shaped jelly candy. The bear on her hand was large and yellow.
“Wow! Candy!”
Fortunately, it was enough to attract Raphel’s attention. Raphel struggled to reach out from Lizelle’s embrace. Casey gave Raphel the candy as a gift with a satisfied smile.
“Candy, candy!”
Raphel shook the gummy bear in his hand, touched it, and even poked it with his little finger. It seemed like he really liked it. Wilhazelle stroked Raphel’s hair and looked at the pouch that Casey was wearing. What is that? How can a candy, almost as large as the bag, come out of there?
“This is a magic bag.”
Casey, feeling Lizelle’s gaze, untied the straps of her bag and held it out.
“Magic bag?”
Lizelle picked up the bag and looked at every nook and cranny. It was smaller than the palm of her hand and made of plain brown cloth.
“Yes. I can take out the things I’m thinking about.”
“Oh, well…”
“Money doesn’t work. Jewelry either. Anything that can benefit you financially is not allowed.”
Darn.
She was wondering if she could make herself rich like the genie in a lamp… Her smile suddenly became sullen. But how did Casey know her inner thoughts and cut her off like that? Perhaps it was too obvious, Lizelle put on a solemn expression, pretending to be mature.
“If it’s okay with Zelly, I’d like to give it to you as a gift.”
“What? No. Why would you do that?”
Lizelle hurriedly returned the pouch to Casey. Casey shook her head and said it was okay.
“I would like to thank you for forgiving me for my rudeness earlier. Of course, only if you accept my apology.”
Casey passed completely.
“Really? Thank you. I think it will be very useful.”
Even if it’s not money, she can make Raphelion’s favorite candies and toys, it will definitely be used for a variety of purposes. She was very happy to receive her first gift since coming to this world. Especially because it was a very mysterious object.
“By the way, is this child really the Raphelion they were looking for?”
Casey’s face was filled with curiosity. She was the type of person who would stay up all night and search deeply when she had a question, so she asked again.
“Maybe. We won’t know for sure until they use the antidote.”
“Oh, I see. But they look very similar.”
“Is that so?”
“Yes. Very much.”
When Casey saw Lizelle holding the child she thought he looked very similar to Chaser. Especially the eyes.
“Did Zelly bring Raphelion?”
“Yes. I found him.”
“Really? Where did you find him? My brother also tried very hard to find Raphelion.”
Casey’s eyes lit up, she was expecting a dramatic story.
“Oh, well…”
The two people forgot about Chaser’s existence and started talking.
Thank you so much for update😍
