Contrary to Julia’s bewildered state of mind, Aiden’s suspicion was more persistent.

His reason for helping her was revealed in his words. It wasn’t Julia whom he was concerned about.

Julia glared at him, her eyes narrowed, but Aiden just smiled affectionately.
