I Don’t Trust My Twin Sister

CHAPTER 148

At the prince’s short words, Theses closed her eyes and stretched the altar with her palms. At that moment, ‘Boom!’ With the sound, I thought the altar was moving slowly and was pushed down. The altar slowly descended to the floor and eventually completely disappeared. And then a bright light came up. The crown prince raised his head as he faced the sight of a bright light rising from where there should have been a black space.

“This place…”

“As I said before, it is up to you to completely open the door. Forcibly opening the door means not knowing where you will reach at any time. If His Royal Highness falls into a world before he was even born, he will lose that much of his life. no see.”

“How do I get back?”

“Is there any other way? All you have to do is settle down and live in that era. It’s difficult to explain, but if you go, you’ll probably feel it. Isn’t that right, Lawrence?”

I looked at Theses when I heard a voice calling me. His eyes were smiling.

“…”

He stood up with his mouth clenched. Now, less than an hour has passed since I left Ian… I wonder how far he has come to look for me. How does the past change when Theoreden enters the open person? In the worst case scenario, will the reality of how I met Ian and started a family once again collapse? Just as I changed the future, others can too. There was such power in knowing the future from the past.

‘Ian…’

I always thought that if I could revive and dedicate myself to someone, it would be my family. But now there was a person who was not family to me, but who was supposed to be family. He was the one who protected me and supported me. He may create another world where he cannot meet him. I don’t want a future where when I open my eyes, Ian in front of me passes by as if he doesn’t know me. therefore.

“Then now there is one step left for my bright future.”

Deoreden laughed and moved his body. His feet took a step forward. I was slightly away and stamped my foot in the direction he was moving.

‘Puck!’

With a sound, the body that was thrown with all its might pushed him away. He fell to the other side and let out a rough breath as he glared at Deoreden, who was making his moans. Deoreden blinked his eyes a few times, shook his head, and looked up at me.

“What…!”

“Theses.”

He cut his voice and called Theses’ name. Theses grinned.

“Yes, Lawrence.”

“Close the minute.”

“It’s impossible.”

“Then fuck the prince.”

“I refuse that.”

He turned his head. Theses was speaking with his eyes.

‘You and I have no relationship whatsoever.’

Realistically, there was no way to stop Deoreden from entering that person without their help. Deoreden carried a sword and there were physical differences as well. So he has no choice but to get help. I looked into Theses’ eyes and slowly opened his mouth.

“You said I could open the door myself. So it would be possible to close it too, right?”

“No one can close a door that has been forcibly opened until the person giving up is giving up their will and life.”

Nothing works. His brain quickly came up with a way to end this situation. But Deoreden was not there to wait for that. He moved his legs frantically and moved his body to enter the open chamber once again. I stopped in front of him. Fervi, Theses, and a man were just looking at me and Theoreden, who were rolling around with a loud noise. It was a look in their eyes that said it had nothing to do with them.

“Theses!”

“You can decide.”

Decide? While he was turning his head, he roughly hit the charging prince with his body again and opened his mouth.

“What decision!”

“High priest.”

I felt like my head was pounding from just one short word. Theses looked at me intently and said one more thing.

“If you choose to become a high priest, I will reward you, His Highness the Crown Prince.”

As soon as those obscene words were finished, the crown prince pulled out his sword and held the blade to my neck once again. A coolness and anticipation stabbed his skin. Is a famous sword a famous sword? The sword owned by the crown prince had the power to cut down even fluttering leaves.

“Move over, Lawrence.”

He turned his head again and looked at the Crown Prince. His eyes, which had already lost their reason due to greed, were extremely ugly. If you keep going like this, you’ll probably cut me down. But I couldn’t back down like this.

“I can’t do that.”

“You can’t do that?”

“I don’t think the world you dream of will be good for everyone who lives in the empire, not just me and Ian. The world you created, where you care so little about people’s lives and lives, will be a mess. So I can’t avoid it.”

There were no words after that. Prince Deoreden and I quietly watched each other. The gray eyes on his red-hot face seemed slightly bitter, and his hands were raised high. The sword reflected light along the blade.

“Then I’ll cut you down.”

His hands tightened as if he had made up his mind. Perhaps this will be the last warning. If I don’t get out of the way until the end, Deoreden will try to kill me and I won’t be able to attack him. If I had known this would happen, I would have brought more relics, but after cracking my lip, I looked into his sparkling eyes and put my hand in my bag. I can’t help it.

“Lawrence, just tell us that you want to become a high priest and we can help you.”

“…”

I burst out laughing at the voice behind me that challenged my resolve. I glanced at Theses, promising myself that if I got out of here alive, I would bury this temple.

“I don’t know if it’s the high priest or the Nabal, but there’s only one thing I want.”

I took out a round sphere from my bag and threw it on the floor.

“Fuck off, everyone!”

The moment the sphere touched the floor, it gave off bright light. The light instantly covered the entire building.

This relic, which I brought with me for self-defense, just in case, had a very special ability. I’m not sure if it’s working or not, but it’s an item I always carry with me when unexpected situations arise. I never thought I would use it for this purpose, but I closed my eyes tightly. A scream was heard along with a ‘chang’ sound.

“Kwaaaaaaaa!”

The sound of Deoreden’s sword falling to the ground was heard along with a scream of pain. With his eyes slightly covered with his palm, he moved quickly to catch the bead and put it into the bag. When the light disappeared and the surroundings could be discerned, the sword moved in the direction it fell. You must retrieve his sword and find a way out of this place.

That’s what I thought. But Theses moved before me. He leisurely walked to the crown prince holding his sword. He followed his movements with his eyes. Finally, the moment Theses reached the prince, his hand moved. His blood spattered. The voice of the crown prince, who was screaming and rolling around, was cut off. And the head that was supposed to be on his shoulders lost its proper position.

“What are you doing now?”

There was no reaction to Theses’ sudden actions. Moreover, although it was said that it was a good thing, Deoreden’s neck was actually broken off, and his head lost its body and rolled on the floor.

“Neither this guy nor that guy is helpful. Besides, I can only admire how the person who will be our high priest can get out of this situation so well.”

His voice was cold and subdued, unlike before. I couldn’t say anything even when I saw Theses’ cool expression for the first time. Theses struck the prince’s head with the sword in his hand, sending him rolling into a corner, and then leisurely approached me.

“The person who will become the High Priest should not be surprised by such a trivial situation.”

“Theses…”

“I thought that if we created this situation, you would definitely come to our side. How did it happen that you overcame everything on your own? I don’t know whether I should praise you and say that this is amazing, or say that it was a useless act.”

As I turned my head to follow the movement of his hand, I saw an unfamiliar man slowly appearing beyond the open wall, and it was not he who shocked me, but the person in his hand.

“Lawrence…?”

“Gr… Grandpa?”

I hurriedly opened my mouth to hear a very tired voice calling me, but Theses’ voice overwhelmed me.

“Would you like to decide?”

He turned his head. Theses was laughing wickedly.

“Your grandfather’s life, and the position of high priest.”

I glared at him as he weighed his grandfather’s life.

“It’s nothing, right? All you have to do is become our High Priest and escape from the flow of time and enjoy an infinite life. What’s the big deal?”

As he followed his fingers, his eyes caught sight of the giant ax touching his grandfather’s heart. I hurriedly looked at Theses and he immediately continued speaking.

“Do you think you can force an old man who was destined to die anyway to come back to life? It’s impossible. But if you become a high priest, that old man will enjoy his life and end his life quietly and painlessly. You have to make a very simple choice for your only grandfather. All you have to do is decide.”

“Because of your choice, that old man could die right here, or he could live for another 40 years. You decide, Lawrence.”

I was in a hurry. I saw his haggard face and lifeless green eyes looking at me with his knees bent. The one who loves me, cherishes me, and gives me meaning to live in this world. The life disappears from his eyes. I couldn’t just watch.

I closed my eyes tightly as memories of the past, when I held my grandfather’s funeral, came to mind.

“His roya… You don’t have to be forced to make a choice because of me.”

“I’m sorry, Grandpa, but… I don’t want to see that situation ever again.”

He gave a weak smile and then bowed his head one last time. There was nothing to think about. For the sake of my beloved family, I would at least become a high priest.

“Theses.”

I could have done more. So… and he pulled the corner of her mouth. I slowly opened my mouth, vowing to myself that if I become a high priest, I will not let this person laugh in front of me.

“That suggestion.”

Raise your head. He pictured the person’s face in his mind for the last time and said something he shouldn’t have said.

“I accept it.”

“You chose well.”

He laughed and told the temple to leave. I turned my gaze away from him, who was smiling with satisfaction, wondering what was so good about it, and lowered his head.

‘Ian… Theses’

“Good. It is a great honor to serve the person who will be our high priest.”

He put down his sword and placed his hand on my shoulder. This whole thing is disgusting.

“From now on, we will live and die for you, and we will work to bring balance to this land by calling upon all gods. Lawrence, no High Priestess.”

A voice and a breathing sound came from Seth right in front of me. He clenched his fists tightly.

“From now on, you will be the High Priest of our Praeteritum, the First Servant, and that of the Order. Everything from your head to your toes.”

Hahaha, Hall raised his voice with uncontrollable laughter. I closed my eyes with only one person’s voice echoing as if everything was over now. I didn’t want to see it or hear it. I just hoped that silence would come.

“Who wants it?”

But that silence did not come naturally. The surroundings fell silent as a low voice broke through the harsh laughter.
