Episode 1
<Prologue. The Opening of the Omega Gene>
Bright blonde hair spread out like waves on the sheet.
The sheet, made of purple satin, had delicate embroidery all the way to the corners, making it look either colorful or luxurious, fitting for the bed of a noble.
Edith’s hair shone even brighter, resembling platinum.
Whenever she lowered her head due to exhaustion, her hair, which formed gentle curves and waves, created white foam like waves hitting rocks.
She moaned softly, unable to properly breathe, taking short breaths before exhaling.
Her strange breath reminded one of a young animal panting and trembling in fear.
Her neck was almost pink with excitement.
Even the last button of her blouse was tightly fastened, revealing a vibrant red flower.
Not only her neck, but her cheeks were also covered in red spots, like someone who had just finished a hot bath, and her thick, oval-shaped earlobes were the most red among her facial features, as if they were burning.
“It’s hot…”
Edith rolled up her sleeves to escape the heat even a little bit.
A lace that was more than a hand’s width wide was attached to the end of her sleeve, and when she raised her arm, the lace flipped over, revealing her slim, white wrist.
Her flawless skin had a bluish tint to it, with veins visible.
A sharp gaze followed her every move, observing even the slightest of her hand gestures with precision and accuracy.
It was Prince Claude, who persistently watched over her every move with his keen eyes.
His eyes, representing noble lineage, were a dazzling golden color.
Within the clear and deep borders, the self-illuminating color shone brightly, as if sprinkled with gold dust.
No one was allowed to approach him within an arm’s length, but if one were to closely examine his beautiful golden eyes, they would resemble a fantastic mesh that held the galaxies of the universe.
At this moment, his golden eyes were unprecedentedly focused. All his attention was directed towards Edith.
“If you’re hot, you can take off your clothes.”
His seductive voice was akin to an incubus that evoked dangerous desires.
However, undressing in front of the stern Prince Claude was an unthinkable act.
Even in her dazed mind, she understood that it was an inappropriate suggestion.
She felt a prickling sensation on the back of her head from his gaze.
She tried to turn away, but she couldn’t.
Her body felt stifled, making it difficult to breathe, and she felt as if she had caught a fever, despite having just decided she couldn’t undress moments ago.
Her unconscious self was now unbuttoning her clothes.
Her trembling hands twisted the button that was tightly fastened around her neck.
“Why… am I doing this?”
She couldn’t believe that her own will was struggling on Prince Claude’s bed.
It was a moment when her usual composed demeanor crumbled.
“If you force yourself, that’s how it will be. Just go with the flow and let your body do what it wants.”
“What… force… myself…?”
Her short, panting breaths were interspersed with his responses.
“The instincts that have been sleeping inside you are now trying to awaken. Don’t suppress them, just accept them as they are.”
“Instincts?”
“Yeah, instincts. I’m talking about your Omega instincts that you’ve been misunderstanding as a Beta all this time.”
He smiled, not hiding his good mood, stretching his lips into a long smile.
Claude’s face, like a brilliantly blooming flower, was incredibly beautiful.
Her already rapidly beating heart felt like it would jump out of her chest.
If one were to depict the embodiment of the greatest deity described in mythology, would it be similar to that man?
A lethal smile remained on his finely carved jawline as if it were chiseled from marble.
In the midst of a struggle between life and death, he rose from the chair where he had been watching Edith all along and approached the bed.
He lingered on the edge for a moment, gazing at her intently, before sitting down with a relaxed posture.
She couldn’t push him away. This was his bed.
Reason was slipping away from reality.
Edith tried to regain her composure by scratching her hot neck with her fingertips and pondered on the hint he had given.
Omega. Yes, Omega.
But I am not an Omega. I was a beta who never showed any signs of dominance as I grew older.
His unwavering gaze caught her trembling pupils.
As if to dispel her doubts, Clyde answered an unasked question.
“If you can sense my pheromones, Edith, you are no longer a beta. It means alpha or omega.”
Finally, she realized the difference.
The situation was completely different from when she involuntarily lowered her head in the face of his intimidating pheromones.
“Me, me.”
She still instinctively acknowledged his dominance, but now her entire body was trembling and she felt dizzy.
She desperately wanted to submit to Clyde’s animalistic senses.
“And no matter how you smell it, this scent that’s starting to waft is definitely omega.”
A large amount of alpha’s pheromones were being emitted from him.
Grinning, Clyde, with his wickedly raised tail, was completely devilish.
An alpha, the top predator, was not a common sight throughout the empire.
Among them, Clyde’s temperament was so strong that it was unmatched. His alpha abilities stood out like a qualification to become an emperor.
Already recognized for leadership and a genius brain, it’s kind of unfortunate that she also has physical abilities.
Encountering such a temperament and facing it head-on, it was definitely not a situation she wanted to be in.
The room was filled with alpha pheromones, making it hard to even breathe.
It’s hard to believe, but if she’s manifesting as an omega, then this scent is definitely the pheromones of an alpha.
It was so strong that it could make your nose bleed.
Her whole body felt like it was melting in honey, yet at the same time, her back felt sharp and keen.
These conflicting sensations tormented her female body.
Her weary body crawled towards the alpha, even though it shouldn’t.
She rested her head on the prince’s knee and whimpered, even though it was not the right thing to do.
Her dazed mind couldn’t distinguish between dream and reality, and her unfocused gaze only saw the man named Clyde.
“You always satisfy me,” he said.
With a smile, or maybe a sigh, his jaw relaxed and his lower lip swelled like a tempting fruit.
Despite his relaxed expression, an invisible force seemed to be growing around Clyde.
Alpha pheromones seeking out an omega.
A strong, primal scent poured into her nose and mouth like a flood.
“Ugh, Clyde…”
Although it wasn’t visible, there was a captivating alpha pheromone and a strong aura that influenced others around him.
It was the presence of a dominant alpha who stood above others.
Clyde naturally enveloped her in his alpha scent, like blinking or breathing.
He didn’t hesitate to use pheromones.
As if she was so adorable that he couldn’t help it, or as if he couldn’t contain his satisfaction, he swallowed a deep laugh into his throat, filling their quiet space with a raspy voice that dug into Edith’s ears.
“Edith… It’s cute that you manifested as an omega.”
She couldn’t understand what part of her was cute. In fact, she couldn’t feel anything as if it wasn’t real.
Gradually, the scent became stronger.
Clyde’s scent.
A scent that I’ve never felt during the time I’ve spent with him, a primal urge that’s squirming below my stomach.
“Please…”
Edith pleaded, her voice strained, as if she were a trapped prey struggling in a net.
“Why? Do I look like I’m here to help?”
Clyde’s ulterior motives were easily read, as he growled like a trapped animal, and the intense alpha pheromones pierced through her body, making her feel sticky and intoxicated.
If she were a beta, insensitive to pheromones, she wouldn’t react and struggle like this.
Betas instinctively kneel before strong dominant alphas like wild animals.
She couldn’t help but acknowledge it. The fact that she could distinctly feel Clyde’s pheromones.
“Stop… the pheromones… please…”
A faint smile crossed his distorted face.
“Oh, these pheromones?”
With a depraved voice, and a touch filled with greed, his hand was placed on her cheek.
His hand was large enough to cover half of her face.
His slender and thick fingers gently brushed her hairline. His body temperature felt cool against her warm skin.
His palm, wrapped around her cheek, felt cool yet persistent emotions were felt.
His hand felt cool, but the warmth emanating from his wrist, even without direct contact, was palpable.
Was it her imagination?
His blood seemed to be boiling like a fever.
Soon, more pheromones trickled down from the wrist of the alpha, who was true to his instincts.
Even in his soothing tone, there was an unsettling undertone.
“Be good, Edith. Stop resisting and embrace your true nature. Release your pheromones freely.”
Clyde’s body emitted intense pheromones from various high-temperature areas.
From his long and sturdy neck to his picturesque forehead and even his breath, it all felt animalistic.
His intention was to stimulate her omega instincts with his alpha pheromones.
The agony was hers alone to endure.
It was a process that she couldn’t avoid or have someone else do for her. The only thing she could do at the moment was to quickly realize herself as an omega.
“C-Clyde…”
Her eyes, filled with blood, glistened with moisture.
“I’ll help you. I’ll stimulate you with my pheromones so that you can manifest.”
He firmly grasped her flailing wrist.
Seemingly indifferent, he only clenched his fingers, but she felt pressure from his thumb pressing against her pulsating pulse.
His rounded hand felt like a noose.
The act of counting her heartbeat with the tip of his fingers, neither strong nor weak, felt oddly obsessive.
Struggling through the difficult moment, Edith cast tearful eyes at him.
I don’t understand why Clyde is showing interest in me.
Whether she manifests as an omega or not, it’s not like he had to do anything, but his actions of sticking to her side and releasing alpha pheromones to help her were incomprehensible.
In the original work, Clyde was clearly a crazy stalker towards the main character.
He was a guy who poured all his passion into one person and did all sorts of crazy things like a lunatic.
The problem isn’t just that Edith isn’t the main character of the novel. This place is the world of BL, which is not reality.
Moreover, he’s the main character, so regardless of whether Edith manifests as an omega or not, she should already be outside of his interest in terms of gender for the context to make sense.
So, watching the moment of omega manifestation with such a pitiful look in his eyes is seriously crossing the line.
It feels like it’s not even the novel she read.
“I guess I need to push a little harder. If I just drag out the time, you’ll get tired and worn out.”
As the faint omega pheromones just kept lingering without any progress, Clyde took drastic action.
He released much more of his alpha energy that he had been controlling moderately.
Alpha pheromones have two functions.
One is the power to seduce omegas and bind them as pheromones when they meet someone they like.
The other function is the power of coercion that only exists in dominant alphas, which mentally subjugates weaker individuals. It’s the same logic as weak animals cowering before strong ones in the animal world.
The ability that Clyde released now was only the power of seduction.
He unleashed a vast amount of pheromones to the limit, covering her completely, but there was no coercion.
Instead, an energetic sensation that only works on omegas made her thrash around like a fish on the bed.
Edith’s hand trembled as if it would melt away at any moment.
“S-stop it.”
“Stay strong. Just a little more.”
At the moment he made his final move, there was no mercy in him.
Clyde’s pheromones covered her like a male animal marking its territory.
“I… ”
Unable to say another word, Edith trembled like a reed, her whole body shaking.
Resting her forehead on his clothes, she let out a sigh full of agony.
For a moment, it felt like her whole body was bursting.
The blocked spring burst, and the pent-up fluid flowed out through her open entrance, releasing omega pheromones.
Not only her eyes and mouth, but even her pores emitted a unique scent.
It felt like being reborn.
She couldn’t remember the moment she left her mother’s womb as a newborn, but it was similar if compared metaphorically. It felt like the body that had carried her soul for over 20 years was transforming into a different form.
There was no visible change in appearance, but realizing for the first time that her temperament had changed and she was emitting pheromones was like night and day compared to the scentless beta.
Trembling wildly as if dying, she let out a faint moan through her choked throat.
“Cly…de…”
She reached out her pale, trembling hands in any direction.
It wasn’t a conscious action, purely instinctual.
Her dizzy elbow was firmly held, and suddenly it shot up straight ahead. Her sweaty, damp back peeled off the sheet.
Clyde had pulled her up abruptly.
A feeling of floating in the air.
Her hazy mind and dulled senses couldn’t resist the thick and intense power of the indoor alpha pheromone.
In a state of disorientation, she was led by him like a limp doll.
In a situation where her sense of reality was pitifully lacking, by chance, the image of a slender man was reflected in Edith’s retina.
Despite being a mess, swollen and crying, it was a coincidence that she happened to see his narrowed face from within an inch.
Strangely, Clyde’s irises were not golden as a mineral, but radiated a false-like, beautiful iridescence from the black pupils. It was reminiscent of a pattern seen when carefully observing the Milky Way in the deep night sky.
If it weren’t for the superintendent’s irises that roasted me morning and evening, I might have been captivated at first sight.
There was no time to dwell on the passing beauty.
The hot breeze seemed to be felt on her cheek, and her body was suddenly raised up.
Without even realizing what was happening…
She was pressed against him so hard that her side hurt.
