<Episode 85>
Eveline had initiated everything, but Elkais’s passionate kisses made it difficult for her to catch her breath. Yet, each time her cold body pressed against his warmth, it felt as if she were melting into him, drawn closer by an irresistible force.
“Ugh…”
She tightened her grip on his shoulders every time he tried to pull away, not wanting to lose the connection that was slowly thawing her frozen body. The warmth of his hand, resting over her heart, seemed to seep into her very core.
“Elkais.”
When he tried to pull back, saying her name, she silenced him by capturing his lips once more, her hands trailing down to caress his chest. Her icy fingertips brushed against his skin, causing him to shiver from the unexpected sensation.
“Do the same for me.”
Eveline pleaded, her tear-filled eyes meeting his as she whispered her request.
Elkais, unable to refuse, mirrored her actions, his hand moving to trace the curve of her chest as his lips brushed hers again. His fingers explored the toned lines of her stomach, eliciting a soft sigh from her.
Her reaction sent a pang of bittersweet emotion through him. There was a strange mix of joy and sorrow in seeing her respond to his touch. It felt like she belonged to him, and yet it hurt to think she might only be reacting to his Alpha nature.
Despite his conflicted feelings, he couldn’t stop. Eveline’s reactions, her vulnerability, and the way her body softened under his touch were all new and intoxicating to him.
For Eveline, his movements were similarly overwhelming. His touch, so delicate despite his strong, muscular frame, sent her heartbeat racing. As his hands roamed, her body warmed further, his heat spreading through her veins and melting away the cold that had gripped her.
She opened her eyes, wanting to see him. Elkais’s expression was intense, focused yet tinged with a vulnerability that almost made him look as though he might cry.
“I like you, Elkais,” Eveline confessed as soon as their lips parted.
Her words broke the last wall Elkais had been trying to keep intact. Tears slipped down his cheeks as he pressed his lips to her neck, his affection mixed with a deep longing he couldn’t express.
Eveline shivered at the sensation, a ticklish laugh escaping her as he kissed her collarbone. He struggled to suppress the urge to bite her, instead letting his lips linger on her sensitive skin.
“I know you don’t love me.”
Elkais whispered, the pain of his admission evident in his voice. Even as he said it, he knew she wasn’t listening, too lost in the moment to hear his words.
When he pulled back, a deep red mark remained on her skin, and Eveline glanced down at it, her eyes tracing the trail of kisses he left as he moved lower. She still wasn’t used to seeing herself like this, even though it wasn’t the first time.
“Ah…”
His persistent touches made her feel as though she were submitting to him completely, like she belonged to him in a way she couldn’t quite explain. His expression remained gentle, but the way he held her was possessive, his actions filled with an unspoken hunger.
“Elkais…”
Eveline called his name softly, her voice drawing him to pause and look up at her.
The expression she wore was everything he had longed to see. Her gaze was no longer filled with desperation for warmth but with an understanding of him—his essence, his being.
“It’s a shame I’m not the Crown Prince,” he said bitterly.
“No”
Eveline replied firmly. She wiped his saliva from her chest, then leaned in to kiss his neck.
“I’m not biting you because I hate you. So…”
“Elkais.”
“If you don’t want this, push me away,” she said, echoing his earlier words, before biting down gently on his neck.
The sensation made him freeze for a moment, his hand moving to grip her hair lightly as if urging her to continue. Encouraged, Eveline bit down harder, her teeth sinking into his skin.
“Elkais,” she whispered, her voice trembling with emotion.
Eveline pulled away when she heard him call her name. His voice sounded almost like a plea, and a thin string of saliva connected them before it broke and fell.
“If I bite you again, will you get angry?”
“No.”
This time, Eveline leaned toward the opposite side, pressing her lips to the spot where his collarbone met his shoulder.
Elkais’s body tensed as her soft lips brushed his skin, her breath tickling him as she swallowed. The sensation brought both pressure and a strange, unbidden pleasure, and he exhaled shakily.
“Eugh…”
Eveline’s shoulder was lightly gripped as Elkais pushed her back, his eyes meeting hers as if to understand her intentions.
She gazed at him openly, no longer denying her feelings. Her eyes reflected the very emotions he had longed to see.
“I…”
Elkais was overwhelmed. It felt strange to think this was merely a reaction to pheromones. His emotions and body were in sync, as if they were one.
It wasn’t just a physical need for an Omega—it was an emotional yearning, a desire for Eveline herself.
“You’re my first,” he confessed.
“I know.”
“If I told you I want to stay with you like this…”
Eveline looked down briefly before meeting his intense, crimson gaze. Her heart ached under the weight of his words, but she didn’t flinch.
“Then take me. Make me yours.”
“Eveline…”
“Make me submit to you.”
She didn’t answer further, instead guiding his hand to her waist, letting it trail downward.
Elkais hesitated for a moment before holding her as if asking for permission.
“I don’t desire the Crown Prince,” she said softly.
“Eveline.”
“What I want… is you.”
Elkais noticed that her body temperature had completely returned to normal, and he realized she must have known it too. Yet she hadn’t stopped.
Slowly and carefully, he eased her down onto the damp fabric beneath them. Her hair, wet from the earlier fall into the water, fanned out across his clothes.
As her gaze met his, he bent down to press a kiss against her wrist.
“What I want isn’t a Royal Alpha,” she said, her voice trembling.
“Then what do you want?”
“I want Elkais,” she whispered, her tears spilling as his eyes softened into the tenderness she remembered.
Elkais felt her tears like molten steel dripping onto his heart, their weight unbearable.
“I’ve never looked at you like that,” he muttered.
“Yes, you have,” she replied firmly.
“You’ve just forgotten for now.”
Her conviction made him want to believe her. Without thinking further, he leaned down and pressed his teeth lightly against her wrist, marking her skin gently.
Eveline gasped softly, the sensation strange but oddly comforting, like a wolf showing affection.
“If we stay here, your back will get scraped,” he said quietly.
“Then don’t say anything,” she replied, her hands brushing over his shoulder before trailing down his back.
“Elkais.”
“Yes, call me by my name.”
Eveline gripped him tightly as if refusing to let him escape. He lifted her legs slightly, his gaze soft but focused.
“Your feet are so small,” he murmured, kissing her ankle lightly.
“Ah… that tickles,” she whispered, laughing weakly as his lips brushed against her skin.
Elkais paused, his hands steadying her legs as he looked at her.
“If you’re afraid, tell me now.”
One of her legs slipped from his shoulder, and he caught it gently. She looked at his slightly disappointed expression and chuckled softly despite herself.
“I think you’re the one who’s nervous, Elkais,” she teased.
“Hah,” he exhaled, pressing forward again as he lifted her legs carefully.
“Ah…” Eveline muttered, unable to look away from his intense gaze. The warmth he radiated felt like gentle waves melting her earlier coldness.
“Elkais…” she whispered, her voice trembling as she covered her face with her hands, unsure of how to react.
“Your pheromones are overwhelming,” he muttered, his tone a mix of frustration and admiration.
“If I’m too rough, tell me,” he said, his voice gentle.
“Okay…” Eveline replied, her voice barely above a whisper.
When he paused, she let out a quiet sigh, almost disappointed. Elkais, noticing her reaction, chuckled softly.
“Do you want me to continue?” he asked playfully.
Blushing slightly, Eveline nodded. “Even if I regret it, I want this now.”
Her words made him pause briefly, his eyes widening before he smiled faintly.
“Fair enough,” he said, his voice low and warm.
It felt like a bond that had existed for centuries, something deep and undeniable, impossible to ignore.
“If you ever want me to stop…”
“Elkais.”
“Say you love me. Maybe then I’ll stop.”
But his words betrayed him; he had no intention of stopping. Instead, he leaned down, his body pressing gently against hers.
