I Became an Omega Trapped on a Deserted Island with the Obsessed Male Lead

IBOTDI | Episode 22

<Episode 22>

He was biting the neck. The person biting from behind was Elkais, and the one biting while hugging me from the front was Abellard.

Being chewed from both sides made me feel like I was being bitten by a zombie, which felt weird.

I, too, didn’t dislike the act, perhaps because I was also getting wet from the rain. Each time our lips touched and the soft flesh between them brushed, it was ticklish yet painful.

Bang!

Even though I was soaked like this, I didn’t expect the gun to go off. It was shot upwards like a flare, but even though my ears should have been ringing, I didn’t pay attention and started clinging tighter to my body.

“Ugh…”

Unconsciously, I also hugged Abellard’s body. Then Elkais made a strange noise, released my arm, and pinched his fingertips.

“Are the three of us going to imprint?”

At that moment, they both stopped biting.

“Indeed, we must deal with you.”

“I’m not sure who you’re talking about.”

Being cautious of each other, they let go of me. As soon as I was free, I immediately dived downwards.

The lake was deeper than I thought. Behind, Elkais and Abellard, who seemed to have regained their senses, were following.

Although the bottom was dark, it wasn’t completely invisible.

There was a strange door-like structure on the lake floor. It was engraved with gigantic and eerie patterns, unlike the exterior of the temple of Yulias Goddess that Abellard had visited, which had a sacred and noble feeling.

Abellard pointed to the door with his finger and smirked.

So I nodded, and he descended below.

Indeed, his claim of not being able to swim was a lie.

Like in the temple of Yulias Goddess, Abellard stretched out his hand and began to exert force.

Suddenly, the light became very bright.

A white light engulfed my entire field of vision, and that was the last memory I had at that moment.

* * *

When I opened my eyes, I found myself pressing my face against a smooth yet damp and soft wall.

“Ugh…”

My body felt completely battered, making it difficult to move.

Slowly, I peeled myself off the fleshy-colored wall.

“Oh.”

I seemed to have fallen from above, landing on top of Elkais.

“Sorry.”

With my lips pressed against his cheek.

Realizing my big mistake as Elkais’s eyes widened in surprise and didn’t shut, I understood that I had clearly crossed a line.

In the book, he was undoubtedly someone who had never even held hands. Yet here I was, not only holding his hand but also kissing his cheek, so it was obvious that any sense of camaraderie was gone.

“I didn’t mean to do that on purpose.”

I tried to get up.

“Eve…”

But Abellard was holding onto my back, preventing me from doing so.

“Step aside, big brother.”

“Eve, I’m in too much pain.”

“Yes, me too.”

Elkais glanced down, then turned his head. He shook himself like a dog and stood up, causing Abellard to slide down to the floor.

“Eve, kiss me now.”

“What are you talking about?”

“You promised to kiss me if I used divine power here.”

“Oh, right.”

My memory was unnecessarily sharp, which was a problem. Suddenly, I wondered where the gun was. Instinctively, I felt threatened by Abellard.

However, there seemed to be no gun anywhere now. So trying to pretend it never happened would be futile.

“What are you doing?”

“I’m trying to kiss you.”

He was holding onto my shoulders and smiling. So, reluctantly, I took his hand, lowered it, and kissed his knuckles.

Then…

Plop.

After kissing my hand first, I touched his cheek. An indirect kiss was still a kiss, after all.

“What’s this?”

“An indirect kiss. Anyway, it’s over since we just did it.”

“Is it normal to do it that easily?”

Elkais looked at me as if he were displeased. So, to change the mood and perhaps throw in a joke:

“Shall I bow to you, Your Highness?”

“…”

“Joke…”

“Okay…”

The timing was off, making it even more awkward.

Abellard openly mocked Elkais, then took his hand, resting my head on his shoulder.

The damp, dripping pink hair was quite annoying.

“By the way, where are we?”

Looking around, it seemed like we were trapped in a glass jar submerged in water.

Outside the transparent walls, fish were swimming.

“It seems to be below the lake.”

Following Elkais’s words, I looked up closely and saw ripples spreading on the surface due to the rain.

“Is this a door?”

This time, looking at the stained glass in vivid red and the building in purple, I asked.

“It seems so.”

“Abellard, kiss me on the lips if I use divine power this time.”

Of course, I was shameless, but I still couldn’t beat Abellard.

Somehow, the feeling of our throats hurting too much from the door and the gate didn’t make the situation any better.

“Then let’s part ways here. Big brother, you can go on your own.”

“Eve! We decided to go together!”

“But you couldn’t enter the Temple of Yulias. So, isn’t it over?”

“Where is that?”

“It’s here.”

“I see.”

He asked as if probing, but then firmly accepted my answer. So, with our arms folded, we looked at each other, and he approached with a sulking expression.

“So, it’s not me you need, but divine power?”

“Yes.”

He looked at me with a sense of disappointment, but I answered truthfully.

“I understand. Then I’ll act useful. You won’t abandon me, right?”

“…Yes.”

It was clear that he was relieved. He chuckled, but when he saw me turning my head away with a pitiful expression and approaching the entrance, he seemed to feel guilty.

Elkais let out a sly laugh, but as soon as I turned away, he composed his expression and looked at Abellard.

Abellard looked around several times like a dog confirming its owner’s presence. Then, he reached out his hand towards the door.

Curious about him using divine power, I approached closer.

As he used divine power, the surroundings brightened again. But the door didn’t open.

“Is this how you open it?”

“…”

At that moment, something sparkling on the red door caught my eye. Unconsciously, my hand reached out towards it.

The bright red gem looked like a ruby, and it was fascinating because it resembled Elkais’s eyes.

As my finger touched the gem, the surroundings instantly turned pitch black.

It felt like all the strength drained from my body.

“Eve!”

“Eve-line!”

Both of their voices reached me simultaneously, but I had no strength to respond.

It felt like sinking into a waterlogged sponge.

* * *

When I opened my eyes this time, I was alone.

There was no sign of the flesh-colored wall. The surroundings were all enveloped in red stained glass, illuminated brightly by the sunlight, filling the space with intense red. Some parts even appeared orange.

Perhaps I was the only one who entered the temple interior this time.

“Is anyone here?”

[Is anyone here?] [Is anyone here?] [Is anyone here?] [Is anyone here?]

It was strange to hear my voice echoing, but the Temple of Yulias gave off an overall benevolent feeling.

However, the statues standing in the temple looked like valiant warriors. They appeared dynamic, with well-developed muscles, resembling Greek sculptures.

Each of them held a weapon, making them look powerful.

The largest statue was the heroic warrior piercing the heart of a dragon.

“Lord Elkais.”

[Lord Elkais.] [Lord Elkais.]

“Brother Abellard?”

[Abellard, Lord?] [Abellard, Lord?]

I didn’t feel good knowing there was no one around.

If I had a gun, I would have felt relieved, but being alone in such a eerie place without any weapons made it impossible to relax.

At that moment, the extinguished torches hanging on the wall began to ignite. They lit up one by one, illuminating the interior of where I was.

In the entirely vivid red space, when the orange torches illuminated the area, the uneasy feeling from earlier turned into a warmth akin to standing in front of a bonfire.

“You’re tired from waiting.”

Strangely, the voice didn’t echo.

I turned my body in the direction of the voice, and a gigantic man clad in ominous armor, like a knight going to war, was striding confidently towards me.

“Who are you?”

Now, even my voice didn’t echo. It was as if the terrain inside had changed with the lights being turned on.

“Eveline Wilden.”

“…Answer.”

He raised the spear he was holding, making me raise my head. His golden eyes were as fierce as those of a raptor.

“…Yes.”

The spear released from his hand quickly turned into a crimson light and dispersed.

“I’m warning you.”

“…”

“Only one person can survive on that island.”

“Who is it? And what do you mean?”

I didn’t see him walk, yet he was very close to me.

“Think about it. You’re smart enough to understand what I mean.”

He conjured my lost gun into his hand and handed it to me.

“Remember. Only one person.”
