IBOTDI Episode 119

IBOTDI | Episode 119

<Episode 119>

“Hh…”

Elkais softly bit her neck and then began to suck deeper. Eveline squirmed at the ticklish sensation from his actions.

“I’m not even an Alpha anymore, so why the neck…”

“Didn’t think I’d ever miss being an Alpha.”

“Because of… the imprint?”

He let out a short laugh at her words and hugged her even tighter.

“Yeah. But since we share the imprint with a third, it’s not all regret.”

He thought it would have been wonderful if it had been just the two of them imprinted together. In the past, the Alpha-Omega rut and imprinting had seemed endlessly crude to him—but not anymore.

Of course, he never agreed with the Alphas’ justification for using Omegas to fulfill their desires.

Still, the idea of an imprint where two people were each other’s only one… that was something he missed.

“If I became an Omega again, and you returned to being an Alpha…”

At her words, he paused for a moment, then gently kissed her back.

“Then I think I’d really want to imprint with you.”

He smiled, clearly happy, and caressed Eveline’s chest with his hand.

Then—

Rumble!

“Ah…”

Eveline instinctively flinched. Pretending to be afraid of thunder had become such a habit that her body reacted on its own.

Elkais hugged her again, gently pulling her away from the wall and into his embrace.

“It’s alright, Eveline.”

He soothed her, raising the part of her dress that had slipped near her ribs.

Eveline liked how he kept whispering It’s okay near her ear as he patted her back.

“Elkais.”

“I’m listening.”

Still, it felt like something she had to confess.

“The truth is… I’m not actually afraid of thunder.”

“What?”

“It’s just that…”

BOOM! CRACK!

“Ugh…”

Logically, she wasn’t afraid of lightning. But when a loud crack sounded like it came from right beside her, her body trembled on its own.

“Sure. Let’s go with that.”

“No, seriously! I’m not scared—I was just pretending.”

“Alright.”

Elkais heard her, but didn’t believe it—and decided to act like he did. It could be something she was embarrassed about.

“I have fears too, Eveline.”

“No, but I really—”

He gently patted her again and stroked her hair more affectionately.

“I used to be afraid of thunder too. But not anymore. Now, I fear something else.”

Eveline felt like she’d just lost the argument somehow—but since it was Elkais, winning or losing didn’t matter. What mattered more was that he actually had something he feared.

“Elkais is afraid of something too?”

“Of course. I’m human, aren’t I?”

She slowly pulled away and looked up at him. Elkais met her eyes and gave her a bright, refreshing smile.

Shhhhhhhh—

Then, the rain began to fall.

Eveline suddenly remembered that getting caught in the rain on this island used to be dangerous.

“What did you do about the rain while building this place?”

“After the gods’ wager ended, it became normal rain.”

At his answer, Eveline beamed and tugged at Elkais’s hand.

“Then let’s go out and feel it.”

“…You want to stand in the rain?”

“Yes. With you.”

“Alright then.”

Elkais figured she wanted to feel the rain because of everything that had happened here. Smiling at the thought, he held her hand and slowly walked down with her.

Even as they descended the stairs, his body didn’t cool down—watching her hair bounce with each step, the gentle ripple of her chest under her dress…

He would’ve liked to finish what they’d started back at the wall. But she seemed to want this moment more—so he held back.

Maybe that’s why he had to work hard not to get excited over the smallest things.

Like the cute way her hair moved as she walked in heels…
Or how tightly she held his hand…
Or the way she licked her lips as if they were dry…
Or how her eyes would curl up every time they met his gaze…

But above all, the most alluring thing was the way she’d stare blankly at him, and then smile sweetly once their eyes met.

Every time he saw that expression, he wished she was carrying his child.

They had just gotten married—so now, it was perfectly okay if she became pregnant. Honestly, he would’ve been thrilled even if she had been pregnant before the wedding. Maybe even happier.

If she had a child quickly, it would feel like she was entirely his.

Yet deep down, he felt what he wanted more was to become someone who belonged wholly to her—by being the father of the child she carried.

“Elkais.”

“What’s wrong?”

“You’re looking at me with that lusty gaze again. Again.”

She smiled playfully, looking at him.

She could clearly see just how much he desired her.

“Is it that obvious?”

Elkais blushed in embarrassment but still held her hand tightly, not letting her pull away.

“Elkais, you’re really obvious.”

She could see it all—his flushed cheeks, the intense, almost devouring look in his eyes every time he looked at her… and yet, when their eyes met, they would soften into a sweet gaze as if none of that had just happened.

His Adam’s apple visibly moved every time she looked at him, and his heartbeat grew louder whenever she touched him. Not to mention the way he unconsciously gripped her hand tighter whenever he got nervous.

How could she not know?

Besides, he had such a commanding presence that sometimes he even walked awkwardly from trying to hold himself back.

“Then how about we don’t go out and just do it here instead?”

“Nope. We’re going after the rain first.”

At her firm refusal, Elkais nodded. He was relieved she didn’t seem to hate his desire—but also, she was just too lovely, and it was almost painful to endure.

“Eveline.”

“Yeah?”

“I want to give you a piggyback ride.”

“Okay.”

It worked out perfectly—her ankle had been hurting anyway. She leapt onto his back with ease, especially since she had been standing a few steps higher on the staircase.

“By the way, Elkais. I’ve been meaning to ask—how tall are you?”

“I was 197 cm when I was twenty.”

“But men keep growing even after twenty, don’t they?”

“True.”

“Then how tall are you now?”

“I haven’t measured since… Is my height bothering you, maybe…?”

“No way. I’m asking because I love it.”

Eveline wrapped her arms tightly around his neck. He loved how her voice echoed right by his ear—and hearing her say she liked it made his heart surge with joy.

“There might be ways to grow even more, if I regain divine power…”

“No! I love you just the way you are…”

Truthfully, Eveline had asked because he often felt too tall. There was almost a full head of difference between them—even with high heels, she barely reached his chin.

Standing barefoot beside him made the gap even more dramatic. And even though Eveline was fairly tall herself, with him, she felt tiny.

His hands and feet were big, yet his head was small—just adding to his striking proportions.

“Your shoulders are so broad too… I feel so safe hanging on here.”

At her compliment, Elkais paused while walking down the stairs.

“Now I want to do it even more… Just… say that kind of thing slowly. My heart can’t take it.”

She didn’t quite understand what he meant—until she felt his chest pounding hard against her back.

“Oh.”

She said nothing more and just tightened her arms around his neck.

As he resumed walking down the stairs, Eveline said:

“My darling really… knows how to make someone happy.”

“That’s because my wife is so beautiful. You make me want to become a better man.”

He meant it from the bottom of his heart. Being with Eveline made him want to try harder.

Even things he once did out of obligation felt joyful now. He found happiness in changing for her, in fitting into her life.

If the god Remeros were to claim the thing he cherished most, he knew without a doubt—it would be Eveline.

Even if they had a child, it would still be Eveline.

He never imagined there would be something—someone—so precious that he’d give up everything for her.

She was so dear to him that even their smallest chats, the tiniest shared moments, the most trivial acts of kindness filled his chest with joy.

His greatest wish was for Eveline to be as happy as she made him.

“I really love you—you, who bring so much joy into my life. Just having you by my side gives my life value. You’re the most precious, the most radiant thing I have.”

To him, shedding the shameful past of being an Alpha, and simply becoming Elkais de Robein, belonging entirely to her—that was happiness.

“Hey, Elkais,”

Eveline said, blushing at his heartfelt confession.

“If we go outside and get caught in the rain…”

He smiled brightly, seeing the shine in her damp eyes.

“…Should we do it in the rain?”

But at those words, he suddenly grew fierce again—and with Eveline still on his back, dashed outside at full speed.

He wanted to get rained on with her—as fast as possible.
