<Episode 106>
Eveline found it hard to breathe as Elkais relentlessly explored the inside of her mouth.
Their noses were pressed together, his prominent bridge rubbing against hers.
More than anything, what she found hardest to endure was the solid muscles of his abdomen pressing against her stomach.
Each time their bodies clung together and parted, a sticky sound echoed between them, like the sensation of touching a polished wooden floor. Yet, despite its firmness, his skin was incredibly warm.
“Eve, look at me.”
At his words, she gazed into Elkais’ crimson eyes. Her own reflection in them appeared strikingly blue at first, but soon, as his red mingled with hers, it clouded into a dusky violet.
“Mm…”
Just as she tried to say something, he urgently captured her lips again. With her hands intertwined and completely restrained, the only thing she could do was clutch onto him.
She squeezed his hands tightly when she felt overwhelmed and loosened her grip when she was okay, but no matter what, he always seemed determined to push her to her limit.
It felt like his scorching body heat was leaving traces all over her.
And it embarrassed her to look into those affectionate eyes—yet, she couldn’t stop herself from wanting to see them.
Each time their eyes met, it felt as if she could see his emotions ripple within them.
Most of all, she liked how she could feel his strong heartbeat every time their chests pressed together.
Eveline was astonished that she was crying. She had cried from pain before, but this was the first time she had ever cried from pleasure.
Noticing her tears, he halted his kisses and placed a gentle one on her cheek.
“You’re crying.”
“Ah…”
It felt as if her heart was being crushed. Like every last bit of oxygen trapped in her ribcage was being drained. And yet, even that felt good.
She instinctively tried to lift her hand to wipe away her tears, but it only slipped in the sweat that slicked her skin. Though she struggled slightly, Elkais refused to let her go.
“Even if you hate it, I won’t let you go.”
“I don’t… hate it.”
Eveline barely managed to breathe out her words. Her wrists were still in his grasp—it had only been a reflex to wipe away her unexpected tears.
“I like it.”
As soon as she spoke, he gazed at her tenderly before suddenly moving more intensely.
Each time their fervent kisses met and parted, thin strands of saliva connected them, breaking and rejoining in a sensual rhythm.
The kisses were so deep that Eveline’s lips began to ache, but she didn’t want to stop.
“Elkais, my hands… Mm…”
“No, don’t let go.”
Afraid that she might pull away, he gripped her wrists even tighter, refusing to release them.
She had merely meant that she wanted to hold his hands again, but in his current state—his mind hazy with desire—he completely misunderstood her intentions.
Even though they were already connected, the idea of her distancing herself from him was unbearable.
As he bit down on her lips, he stared at her with an intensity that sent a shiver down her spine. His gaze was both chilling and intoxicating, as if he was about to devour her whole.
A delicious thrill coursed through her, making her exhale softly as she fluttered her eyes open. The moment she did, he pressed a gentle kiss against her eyelids.
“Haa… You’re bleeding.”
Eveline murmured as she noticed the small trickle of blood on Elkais’ lips.
His bite had been so forceful that blood trickled down from his lips, staining her skin like a crimson seal upon her eyelid.
“Yes. You look truly beautiful.”
With those words, he pressed his lips against hers once more, firm and possessive. His blood smeared against her lips, staining them a deep red.
As he pulled away, his teeth grazed her lower lip, leaving behind smudges of blood that darkened and marred her delicate mouth.
“You’re breathtaking.”
He smiled in satisfaction, pressing her down again. Eveline licked her lips instinctively, tasting the metallic tang of his blood. At the sight, Elkais furrowed his brows, as if struggling to hold himself back.
“Haa… Twice would be impossible.”
“M-Me too. Just once is…”
“Then let’s make it five.”
“Ah—!”
With those words, everything became rougher.
Eveline gasped as he pressed her down with even greater force, her body instinctively writhing beneath him.
At that moment, his grip on her wrist momentarily slipped, but just as he reached to reclaim her hand, he realized—he didn’t need to.
Caught up in pleasure, Eveline had already reached for him on her own.
That alone was enough to soothe something deep inside him.
He still feared she would try to escape from him, but as long as she looked at him with the same emotions—no matter how much lighter hers might be in comparison—he would simply love her twice as much.
The moment he accepted that thought, an unsteady breath escaped his lips.
“Ugh—!”
“Ahn… ngh…!”
As he exhaled sharply, Eveline’s vision momentarily went dark. It felt as if the world had turned blank, as though she could see nothing at all. Then, as the bed shook irregularly beneath them, her sight slowly returned.
“Haa…”
Elkais collapsed against her chest, his body heavy and warm. Eveline wrapped her arms around him tightly, her breaths just as ragged as his.
Their breathing was equally uneven, but he was the first to steady himself. Then, in a voice still thick with desire, he spoke.
“Five times.”
“I’m going to die.”
“Yes, I might die too. It feels too good.”
Chuckling, he pulled her closer, his body once again surging with renewed strength. The crushing pressure around her waist made Eveline sigh. Her thighs trembled, aching to the point that she couldn’t even tell which part of her body was the most exhausted.
And then—
“Ghhhk—!”
Elkais suddenly coughed up blood onto her chest.
“Elkais…? What’s—khhk…!”
Eveline barely got the words out before a sharp, burning sensation crawled up her throat.
“Ugh…!”
What she expelled was blood.
“Urgh… Eve…line…”
In that instant, Eveline lost consciousness. Elkais, struggling to keep his mind clear, tried to call for a physician.
But even lifting her and dressing her in a negligee was nearly beyond his strength. If a man were the first to enter the room, they would see her exposed body—something he couldn’t allow.
“Damn it.”
Clutching at his own shirt, he, too, succumbed to the darkness.
* * *
“Mm…”
When Eveline opened her eyes, she found herself in her room once again.
For a moment, she wondered if everything that had happened last night had been a dream. But as she looked around, she spotted Elkais collapsed on the floor.
“Elkais.”
Even while coughing up blood, he had still managed to dress her. The thought was almost ridiculous, and she let out a small chuckle.
But the sight of the bloodstains all around them made her breath catch.
“What is this…?”
Eveline forced herself to her feet, though her legs were weak. She could still walk—barely.
Stumbling toward him, she tried to check his condition.
“Eveline!”
“Yes?”
She was startled when he suddenly called out to her, his voice urgent. But she answered calmly.
“Eveline! Are you alright?”
“Yes, I’m fine… But if you hold me that tightly, how will you even check if I’m okay or not?”
She spoke as he immediately wrapped his arms around her the moment their eyes met.
“If you die, I die too.”
“I feel the same. So let’s let go for now and check on each other first.”
“…Alright.”
At her composed words, he finally seemed to regain his senses and slowly loosened his near-crushing embrace.
“Are you hurt anywhere?”
“Well, my chest hurts a bit because you just squeezed me too hard.”
“…Sorry. Anywhere else?”
“My neck is sore… I think it’s because you bit me earlier.”
“Ah… Right.”
He glanced at the marks he had left on her neck and chuckled. But his expression quickly turned serious again.
“Anywhere else?”
“My stomach hurts a lot. But that’s probably because of… what happened earlier. It hurt back then too.”
“Is it supposed to hurt like that?”
“I don’t know. It’s only my second time.”
“…It’s my second time too. But I have no idea how to make it not hurt.”
His deeply troubled expression made Eveline laugh softly.
“What about here?”
He touched her lips as he asked, and Eveline pressed a light kiss to his thumb before answering.
“Someone bit me too much. It feels like my lips are splitting every time I talk.”
“…I’m sorry.”
Seeing that she seemed to be in better shape than he had feared, he finally relaxed.
“But why did we cough up blood earlier?”
“I don’t know. But something feels strange here.”
Eveline placed a hand over her heart, her brows furrowed.
She could sense an unfamiliar force swelling near her chest. It had surged explosively just moments ago, only to settle down again. The energy was vast—far greater than anything she had ever felt before.
“Elkais has Remeros. I have Dekarv. It must be because of the gods’ powers.”
“…That makes sense.”
Even as she spoke, she kept checking him over with her eyes. Finally, she reached out, tracing over his body as if confirming something.
“Are you hurt anywhere?”
“My heart feels like it’s going to burst.”
“It must be the power…”
“No. I’m just wondering if we’ll have to cough up blood every time we have sex…”
His serious tone made her blink before she burst out laughing.
“I meant actual injuries.”
“None at all. As long as you’re not hurt, that’s all that matters.”
At his words, Eveline gently stroked his cheek.
“Let’s wash up first. Other than the blood, I think we’re fine.”
“I don’t know if it’s something we can just brush off so easily.”
As Elkais spoke seriously, Eveline sighed, exasperated.
“Then let’s wash up first and think about it after. We look too much of a mess to call my brother over right now.”
She glanced down at their bloodied bodies before adding dryly, “He’d have a heart attack.”
Elkais immediately responded, “I want to wash you myself.”
Despite the blood they had coughed up, they both instinctively knew that the divine power coursing through them meant they weren’t in any real danger.
“Alright.”
At her agreement, he smiled, effortlessly lifting her into his arms and carrying her straight to the bathroom.
