Episode 18
“But why is Poi still the same?”
Erina looked at Poi while saying this.
“I can only tell you that when it comes to shedding, it varies from person to person.”
“Is that so?”
Among the siblings who were sleeping more comfortably than before, Poi, who was still in dragon form, looked particularly distressed.
Erina carefully hugged Poi and stroked him.
“Then how long will Poi be like this? You don’t know either, Mr. Dylan?”
“Yes.”
Dylan thought as he looked at Poi in Erina’s arms.
I can go back with them quickly only after that guy is finished too.
“Then, does the Empire have all the supplies for children ready?”
“Oh, that’s right. Of course.”
He never prepared anything like that.
He didn’t even think about preparing.
But Dylan raised the corners of his mouth and smiled kindly. He hoped that Erina would think he was a good uncle.
“Then Mr. Dylan didn’t know that the children would suddenly get sick here either?”
“Yes, I really didn’t know that the molting would come this quickly.”
Erina’s small misunderstanding was a very valuable opportunity for Dylan.
He looked down at Poi and made a worried expression.
To others, it was as if the image of a kind uncle had been perfectly drawn.
“Don’t worry about the children, Miss Erina. I will prepare everything for them and come back today.”
“Oh, can you do that?”
“Of course. Then, I will go out for a bit.”
Dylan left the house after saying goodbye to Erina.
Erina let out a short sigh as she watched Dylan disappear in an instant.
When he said molting, she thought it would be like shedding their skin like other reptiles, but she never thought they would suddenly turn into humans…!
Of course, the molting turned out much cuter and prettier than she imagined.
And now that they could communicate with each other, that was a good thing. The only drawback was that she was not prepared at all.
It was also a problem that Poi was still sick.
Erina started making medicine for Poi again using the ingredients she had prepared yesterday.
“Erina!”
“Erina!”
But when she was in the middle of making medicine…
The voices of children were heard from behind, as Resen and Lia clung to Erina’s legs.
“Resen, Lia!”
Erina quickly sat down and got on the children’s eye level.
Resen and Lia were wearing knee-length shirts like one-piece dresses. They were so cute that Erina gently rubbed their hair.
“This is Erina’s!”
Lia held the hem of her shirt with both hands and spun around on the spot.
How could she have such a good sense of balance? It was a perfect turn without even a single wobble.
Clap, clap. Erina clapped her hands lightly.
Lia shrugged her shoulders in excitement.
Resen, who was watching from the side, tried hard to turn around, but he just kept tilting to the side.
“Oh Resen, Resen is cool too! But don’t keep doing that, it’s dangerous! Come here and sit down.”
“Yeah.”
“Uha!”
Resen and Lia followed Erina and sat on the dining chairs.
“I was sleeping, but Resen’s stomach started growling!”
“Lia’s stomach was also growling!”
“Oh, no!?”
“What, it was louder than mine…! Ah, ouch!”
Lia puffed out her cheeks as she listened to Resen’s teasing, then she raised her fist and hit Resen’s arm.
“Lia! Don’t hit him!”
Erina scolded Lia after seeing Resen frowning in pain.
But Lia was still grumbling.
“Resen was wrong!”
“What did I do?!!”
“Lia didn’t make any sound!”
Surely they didn’t fight like this before?
Erina laughed out loud at the childish yet bloody fight between the two children. What on earth was that growling sound?
“Okay, okay. Let’s stop now. Lia, you should apologize to Resen right away.”
When Erina said something like that, Lia knew it would only end after an apology.
Lia, who believed that there was really no sound coming from her own stomach, felt wronged, but apologized to Resen.
“Sorry.”
“I’m sorry too.”
Resen took the hand that was extended to him and apologized too.
In fact, it was true that Lia’s stomach wasn’t making any noise. He was just embarrassed that his stomach was growling alone, so he said that.
Erina, who was watching the two children’s cute apologies, shrugged her shoulders and focused on preparing breakfast.
Resen and Lia ate the breakfast Erina had prepared. Now that they had human hands, they could move the spoons skillfully.
Erina finished off the medicine for Poi while the mealtime passed by comfortably.
Resen said while watching Erina put the medicine in a bowl.
“I didn’t feel sick after eating what Erina gave me. I was really sick before. Right, Lia?”
“Yeah! I like what Erina gave me! It doesn’t taste good, but I like it!”
Lia stood there, stomping her feet, agreeing with Resen’s words.
Erina thought it was fortunate that what she gave them wasn’t completely ineffective.
Well, Dylan was an adult so was it why the medication didn’t help him?
Erina tilted her head as she recalled the man who had spoken so firmly.
Erina smiled faintly as she saw the children snickering along while following her as she approached Poi, who had been lying on the bed.
“Poi, take this medicine and go to sleep. Okay?”
At Erina’s words, Poi’s eyelids slowly rose and quickly closed.
Was it because he was born the latest, or was it because of that that he was so weak? Erina was overwhelmed because of all the worries.
Resen was watching the youngest next to Erina when Lia said, stroking Poi.
“Poi! Eat this and get better quickly!”
“Yeah, Erina prepared it! Just try a little bit!”
At his siblings’ words, Poi let out a small ‘Mii’ sound.
“Yeah! We’re done! Poi can do it too!”
“That’s right, Poi can do it too! It’ll be done in no time!”
Resen and Lia waved their fists in front of Poi.
It seemed like a way for the children to cheer him up.
“Hey, did you hear that Poi? Since Resen and Lia did it, Poi can do it too. Right?”
“Mii.”
Poi opened his mouth slightly.
Erina poured lukewarm medicine into Poi’s mouth. Poi’s expression slightly crumpled as the bitter medicine went in, but he soon swallowed it.
“Well done, Poi, that’s great!”
“Awesome!”
“Awesome!”
Erina and his siblings praised Poi. However, Poi fell into a deep sleep without even hearing them.

“Is this the correct size?”
Dylan asked, pointing to the clothes that filled the room.
“It should be correct?”
“It is?”
The answer came back, but they had a question mark at the end indicating that they weren’t exactly sure of that.
Dylan looked at the two with a pitiful expression.
However, since there was nothing they could do, Mitzu and Hael pretended not to see it.
“So, two of them have finished shedding, and only one is left?”
“Mmm.”
“Then I think something this size would fit them.”
Mitzu lifted a shirt and shook it back and forth.
“Master Dylan said they come up to his knees, so it should be about right.”
“Hmm, but does molting actually end this quickly? Do you know anything about it?”
No matter how much he thought about it, he felt like his niblings were unusually fast.
“Well, neither Hael nor I have any siblings or family, so we don’t know anything.”
“That’s right!”
Most of the people around him were in this situation. Due to the nature of dragons, forming a family was a rare phenomenon.
But, there was no way he could properly explain to Erina that he had lived his entire life alone.
He still felt wronged when he thought about how he got scolded for not properly explaining the molting process, but he also felt it was a bit odd to go through all the trouble of explaining it and asking his subordinates.
Anyway, since he said he was perfectly prepared for the kids, he should prepare perfectly.
Dylan looked over the pile of dozens of clothes, toys, shoes, and accessories, making sure nothing was missing.
Dylan had always lived by the value of ‘Just do it, as it comes, you will win anyway.’
Even Mitzu and Hael, who had been his closest associates for hundreds of years, felt that Dylan’s current state was quite strange.
After coming home from an overnight stay, he suddenly ordered them to buy things for his niblings, to decorate their room, and even went so far as to ask them for everything they knew about shedding.
‘Molting.’
Both dragons has already finished it hundreds of years ago.
Even the word was unfamiliar to them now.
“If you find anything missing here, then do it yourself.”
Dylan walked around the room and glared at his subordinates.
The two subordinates shrugged their shoulders at his murderous attitude.
If he had shown even half the temper he had in front of his subordinates, Erina’s attitude toward him would have been different.
But strangely enough, Dylan felt infinitely smaller in front of her.
He wasn’t trying to do it on purpose, but it was strange.
When the time came, he didn’t feel that it was strange to show such weakness, but the problem was that he would tremble in embarrassment once he left that place.
It was as embarrassing as it was annoying.
Anyway, if Erina asked, he wanted to give her a perfect answer without any hesitation.
Dylan had been nagging his subordinates and servants to get everything done in one day.
“Then, I’ll take off.”
“Huh? Are you leaving already?”
Dylan said as he left after gathering a few things.
Mitzu asked with a surprised face, but Dylan had already disappeared.
“Why is Master Dylan in such a hurry?”
“Why so?”
“Did he hide some treasure…”
“Treasure…!”
Mitzu and Hael, who could not have imagined that he was still obsessed with the blonde hair he had mentioned two days ago, nodded their heads to the unanswered question.
thanks! it’s so hilarious how docile he gets with erina ahahaha! honestly, since instant teleportation is so easy, the kids should clearly just like with erina and visit the mansion sometimes.that would be my prefence anyway ahahah
You’re welcome 😁. It could have been resolved by other ways, I know. I think he just wants to see her hair more often 🤣
